Augenabstand

Bitte falten Sie Ihr MINOX Fernglas
so, daß die beiden Sehfelder ein
kreisrundes Bild ergeben. Dazu
müssen Sie den Abstand der bei­den Okulare auf Ihren Augenab­stand abstimmen.

Scharfstellung

Um eine optimale Einstellung auf
die individuelle Sehleistung Ihrer
Augen zu gewährleisten, beachten
Sie bitte folgende Hinweise:

(a) Zunächst avisieren Sie ein weit

entferntes Beobachtungsobjekt.
Bei geschlossenem rechten
Auge fokussieren Sie mit Hilfe
des zentralen Mitteltriebs (3)
das Beobachtungsobjekt so,
daß Sie für Ihr linkes Auge die
optimale Scharfstellung errei­chen.

Interpupillary distance

Please fold your MINOX binoculars
so that both fields of view form a
perfectly round image. In order to
achieve this, the distance between
the two eyepieces must be adju­sted to match the distance bet­ween your eyes.

Focusing

For optimal adjustment of the
binoculars to your individual eye­sight, please observe the following
instructions:

(a) First, line up on a far away

object. Close your right eye
and focus on the object by tur­ning the central drive (3) until
you have achieved a perfectly
clear image of the object with
your left eye.

(b) Bei geschlossenem linken Auge

fokussieren Sie nun das gleiche
Beobachtungsobjekt für das
rechte Auge. Die optimale
Scharfstellung erreichen Sie
jetzt jedoch unter Verwendung
des Dioptrien-Ausgleichs (2).

(c) Ihr MINOX Fernglas ist nun auf

die individuelle Sehleistung
Ihrer Augen abgestimmt. Für
die Fokussierung verschiedener
Beobachtungsobjekte in unter­schiedlichen Entfernungen be­nutzen Sie bitte nur noch den
Mitteltrieb.

Achtung:

Mit einem Fernglas nicht in die
Sonne blicken, es könnte zu
Augenverletzungen führen.

(b) Now, close your left eye and

focus on the same object using
your right eye. The binoculars
can now be optimally focused
by using the diopter adjust­ment (2).

(c) Your MINOX binoculars are

now adjusted to your individual
eyesight. Objects at varying
distances can now be focused
on merely by adjusting the cen­tral drive.

Caution:

Do not use the binoculars to
look at the sun. This could lead
to eye injuries.

Hinweis für Brillenträger

Für Brillenträger sind die MINOX
Ferngläser mit drehbaren Schiebe­augenmuscheln ausgestattet. Sie
erhalten somit einen besseren
Überblick über das Bildfeld.

Benutzung mit und ohne Brille

Beobachter, die keine Brille tragen,
ziehen die Augenmuscheln mit
den schiebbaren Okularhülsen bis
zum Einrasten heraus. In dieser
Position ist der richtige Abstand
des Fernglases zum Auge gegeben,
wobei die Raststellung eine ver­wacklungsfreie, ruhige Anlage
gewährt.

Bei Beobachtungen mit Brille
bleiben die Okular-Schiebehülsen
eingeschoben, damit das ganze
Sehfeld ohne störende Beschnei­dung am Rand überblickt werden
kann.

Note for spectacle wearers

To suit the requirements of spec­tacle wearers, the MINOX binocu­lars are equipped with revolving
eyecups. This allows the glasses
wearer a better overall view.

Using the binoculars with and
without eyeglasses

If you do not wear glasses, pull
out the eyecups and telescopic
eyepiece tubes to the click stop.
This places your eyes at the
correct distance from the eyepiece
lens. The click stop ensures firm
positioning of the binoculars.

If you wear glasses, push in the
eyepiece tubes. This allows you to
see the full field of view without
vignetting at the edges.

Verunreinigungen beeinträchtigen
die Helligkeit Ihres MINOX Ferngla­ses. Deshalb empfehlen wir, Fin­gerabdrücke, Staub und andere
Verunreinigungen der Objektiv­und Okularoberflächen mit einem
weichen Haarpinsel oder einem
mehrfach gewaschenen Baumwoll­tuch zu entfernen.

Auf der Unterseite eines jeden
MINOX Fernglases finden Sie des­sen „individuelle“ Fabrikations­nummer. Für den Verlustfall ist es
von großer Bedeutung, diese
Nummer zu notieren.

Dirt on the surfaces of lenses and
eyepieces impairs your binoculars’
brightness. We therefore recom­mend removing finger marks, dust
and stains using a soft-haired
brush or a cotton cloth that has
been washed several times.

On the bottom of every pair of
MINOX binoculars, you will find an
individual serial number. It is of
great importance to note this
number down in case of loss of
your binoculars.
