Lea detenidamente este manual de uso y mantenimiento.
Si tiene cualquier pregunta, pida al profesional
que le aconsejó en la compra de la silla de ruedas que le aclare sus dudas.
Por último, no olvide sellar la garantía y
enviárnosla dentro de los 15 dias siguientes a la fecha de compra.

ADVERTENCIAS SOBRE LA SEGURIDAD
Rampas y obstáculos
Antes de disponerse a intentar salvar un obstáculo o subir una pendiente deberá Usted
haber practicado dicha maniobra con un técnico, terapeuta ocupacional u otro profesional
sanitario. No lo intente nunca solo las primeras veces. Haga que algún acompañante
observe las maniobras hasta que adquiera la destreza necesaria. No intente subir o
bajar por pendientes de más del 10 % sin asistencia. Franquee los obstáculos con las
dos ruedas a la vez ( ya sean las delanteras, o las traseras si prefiere atacar el obstáculo
de espaldas). Asegúrese de que las paletas del reposapiés no choquen con el suelo al
salvar desniveles.
Neumáticos
Asegúrese de que los neumáticos conservan la presión recomendada en los laterales
de la cubierta. El correcto inflado de los neumáticos es fundamental para la
maniobrabilidad de la silla. Además el correcto inflado afecta también al agarre del
freno de estacionamiento.
Transferencias
En primer lugar accione el freno de estacionamiento. No utilice los reposapiés para
realizar ningún tipo de apoyo. Habitualmente deberá Usted retirar el reposabrazos y
realizar la transferencia lateral o frontal de acuerdo con los consejos del técnico,
terapeuta ocupacional o fisioterapeuta. No realice la transferencia sin la supervisión
de un asistente hasta que aprenda a realizarla con soltura.
Componentes
Todos los elementos y partes de la silla de ruedas son originales y no deben ser sustituidos
por otros estándares que se puedan encontrar en el mercado. El uso de algún componente
ajeno a Minos 97 anularía inmediatamente la garantía de la silla. Consulte a su
distribuidor antes de realizar el cambio de cualquier componente.

Apoyabrazos y reposapiés
Asegúrese que el apoyabrazos y reposapiés están bien anclados. No debe Usted nunca
levantar la silla por los apoyabrazos o reposapiés ya que el usuario podría resultar
herido o dañarse la estructura de la silla. Asímismo no se ponga nunca de pie sobre
el reposapiés.
Asegúrese de que el reposapiés esta a la altura adecuada con respecto al suelo para
que no choque con el mismo.
Frenos de las ruedas
La función de los frenos no es reducir la velocidad de la silla. No accione el freno
mientras la silla este en movimiento.

Seguridad en los vehículos
Se advierte que la silla de ruedas no debe utilizarse como asiento en ninguna clase de
vehículos.
Se deberá transferir al usuario al asiento del vehículo.
Plegado silla de ruedas
Tenga cuidado con los dedos al plegar y desplegar la silla. Tire hacia arriba
longitudinalmente de la tapicería del asiento para plegarla y empuje los tubos sobre
los que descansa el asiento para desplegarla.
Inclinarse hacia delante o hacia atrás
Estas maniobras podrían causar el vuelco de la silla, por lo tanto le recomendamos que
en ningún caso realice movimientos bruscos. Si necesita inclinarse hacia atrás su espalda
debe apoyarse en todo momento en el respaldo y las ruedas delanteras deberán estar
orientadas hacia delante. Si necesita inclinarse hacia delante, centre las ruedas delanteras,
accione el freno de estacionamiento y no se incline más allá del reposabrazos.
Uso en la calle
Asegúrese en todo momento que sus maniobras son observadas en todo momento por
los viandantes y muy especialmente por los vehículos si tiene que cruzar la calzada.
Cruce la calzada por los lugares indicados para ello.
Peso máximo del usuario
El peso máximo del usuario de esta silla de ruedas es de 110 kg.

SAFETY WARNINGS
Components
All components and parts of this chair are original: they must not be replaced by other
standard parts available on the market. The use of any component not original to
Minos 97 will render the warranty on the chair null and void forthwith. Consult your
distributor before changing any component.
Arm and Footrests
Ensure that the arm and footrests are properly secured. Never lift the chair by the arm
or footrests, as this could result in injury to the user or damage to the structure of the
chair. Never stand on the footrests. Ensure that the footrests are far enough off the
ground to avoid impacts.
Wheel Brakes
These brakes are not intended to slow the chair down. Do not apply the brakes
while the chair is moving.

Ramps and Obstacles
Practice rolling over an obstacle and travelling up a slope with a technician, occupational
therapist or other professional health-care expert before attempting these moves on
your own. Have someone watch over you until you acquire the necessary skill. Do not
attempt to travel up or down slopes of more than 1 in 10 without assistance. Roll over
obstacles with both front wheels (or both rear wheels if you prefer to back over them)
at once. Ensure that the foot plates do not bump against the ground on uneven terrain.
Ty re s
Ensure that the tyres maintain the recommended pressure on the sides. Tyres must be
properly inflated for the chair to manoeuvre correctly, and for the parking brake to
grip correctly.
Getting In and Out
First engage the parking brake. Do not use the footrests for support. Normally, the arm
rests should be folded back. Move in and out from the side or front, as recommended
by a technical advisor, occupational therapist or physiotherapist. Do not move in or out
of the chair without a helper on hand until you become skilled at doing so.
Safety in Vehicles
This wheelchair is not to be used as a seat in a vehicle of any kind. Users should be
moved into the seat of the vehicle itself.
Folding the Wheelchair
Mind your fingers when folding and unfolding the wheelchair: pull up along the seat
upholstery to fold the chair, and push on the supporting tubes under the seat to unfold
it.
Leaning Forwards or Back
Do not suddenly lean forwards or back, as this may cause the chair to overturn. If you
need to lean back, keep your back on the backrest at all times, and ensure that the
front wheels are pointing forwards. If you need to lean forward, centre the front
wheels, engage the parking brake and do not lean further than the arm rest.
Outdoor Use
Ensure that your manoeuvres can be seen at all times by pedestrians and especially by
drivers if you need to cross the road. Cross only at permitted points.
Maximum User Weight
This wheelchair can be used by persons weighing up to 110 kg.

Reposapiés
El reposapiés es desmontable. Para quitarlo deberá Usted
presionar la palanca y girarlo lateralmente hacia afuera
y tirar de él finalmente hacia arriba. Para montarlo hay
que realizar el proceso inverso.
Footrests
The footrests is detachable. To remove it, press the lever
and turn it outwards, then pull it up. To replace it, reverse
the process.

El apoyabrazos es desmontable. Para quitarlo deberá Usted
presionar el pulsador y tirar de él hacia arriba
Arm Rest
The arm rest is detachable. To remove it, press the button
and pull it back.

Frenos
El freno se acciona empujando la palanca hacia delante.
Para soltar el freno tirar de la palanca hacia atrás.
Recomendamos accionar el freno para sentarse o salir de
la silla de ruedas.
Brakes
To engage the brake, push the lever forwards. To release
it, pull the lever back. We recommend engaging the
brake before getting into or out of the wheelchair.

Plegar la silla
Coloque las paletas de los reposapiés en posición vertical
y tire de la tapicería del asiento hacia arriba hasta que
la silla quede plegada.
No hacer fuerza nunca en los reposabrazos o reposapiés
para plegar la silla.
Folding the chair
Set the foot plates of the footrest upright and pull up
the seat upholstery until the chair is folded. Never exert
force on the arm rests or footrests to fold the chair.

Abrir la silla
Empuje los tubos que soportan la tapicería del asiento
teniendo cuidado de que no queden atrapados los dedos
entre el tubo y el chasis
Asegúrese de que los tubos del asiento se apoyan sobre
las bases de encaje.
Opening the chair
Push down on the tubes supporting the seat upholstery,
taking care not to pinch your fingers between the tube
and the chassis.
Ensure that the seat tubes are supported on their housings.

AJUSTES / ADJUSTMENT
Reposapiés
Para ajustar la altura del reposapiés hay que soltar la
tuerca, retirar el tornillo y tirar de la paleta hasta alcanzar
la altura deseada.
Volver a realizar la operación inversa para fijarlo.
Footrests
To adjust footrest height, release the screw with the
spanner and pull the foot plate to the desired height.
Then re-tighten the screw.

Frenos
Aflojar los tornillos y moverlo a lo largo del tubo hasta
alcanzar la posición más adecuada.
Apretar los tornillos y asegurarse de que al empujar la
palanca, la zapata realiza la función de frenado.
Brakes
Release the screws and slide the brake along the tube to
the required position.
Re-tighten the screws and ensure that the pad exerts
braking force when the lever is pushed.
