Use only the provided batteries or type of ba tt ery and charger that came with your camera. Using other types of battery or char ger may damage the device and invalidate the warranty.
Inserting the battery upside down can cause damage to the product and possibly cause an explosion.
When the camera is used for an extended period o f time, it is normal for the camera body to feel warm.
Download all pictures and remove the battery from the camera if you are going to store the camera for a long period of time.
The type of battery and the battery power level may c ause the lens to be stuck up. Ensure you use the correct bat tery type and use a fully charged battery.
Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an inco rrect t ype. Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions.
Please keep the batteries out of the reach of children to prevent from swallowing batteries, which might c ause poisoning.
USB adapter Information
Do not expose the adapter to high temperatures or moisture places. Otherwise, it may cause fire or electric shoc k.

Camera Buttons
Your camera is equipped with different buttons for ease of use.
Button Description
Power Press the Power button to turn the power on/off. Shutter Press to capture an image.
Zoom dial
In Photo mode and Recording video, spin the zoom dial to left to zoom out, right to zoom in.
In Playback mode, spin to zoom in to magnify image or zoom out to enter thumbnails.
Menu Press to enter or exit menu/submenu.
AE/AF LOCK button/Delete
Press this button on your camera to l ock focus and exposure, or delete an image, video or audio clip. See "Using the AE/AF LOCK/Delete Button" on page 30 to know more about AE/AF
LOCK/Delete button. Playback Press to enable Playback mode or return Record mode. Movie Press to start/stop recording video.
Wi-Fi
Press to enter or exit Wi-Fi menu. See "Using Wi-Fi function" on

Navigation Co ntrol
The 4-way Navigation Control and the OK button allow you to access the
various menus available from t he On Screen Display (OSD). You can configure a wide range of settings to ensure maximum re sults from your images and videos. Further functions of these buttons are as follows:

Inserting the Bat tery
Follow these instructions to insert t he rec hargeable battery into the battery/memory card compartment.
Please read "Battery Information" on page 2 before inserting/removing batteries.
1. Make sure the power is off before inserting the battery.
2. Unlock and o pen the battery/ memory card compartment at the bottom of the camera.

3. Insert the batteries into the compartment with the terminal facing inside the camera with correct orientation as shown.
4. Close and lock the battery/memory card compartment. In order to prevent the battery from dropping, please ma ke sure the compartment is locked firmly.
Camera Memory
Internal memory
Your camera is eq u ipped with 64 MB of in ternal memory. Users can store files
up to approximately 24 MB. If there is no memory card inserted in the memory card slot, all images and video s recorded are automati cally stored in the internal memory.
External storage
Your camera supports SD cards of up to 2 GB in size. It also supports SDHC
cards with a maximum capacit y of 32 GB. Then also sup ports SDXC card s with a maximum capacity of 64 GB. If there is a st orage card inserted in the memory slot, the camera automatical ly saves all images and videos in the external storage card. The icon indicates the camera is using SD card.
Not all cards may be compatible with your camera. When p urchasing
a card, please check the card's specific ations and take the camera
with you.

Inserting an SD/SDHC/SDXC Memory Card
Expand your camera’s storage by
using SD, SDHC or SDXC memory cards.
1. Unlock and open the Battery/ memory card compartment at the bottom of the camera.
2. Insert the SD/SDHC/SDXC card into the memory card slot with the metallic part facing the back side of the camera.
3. Push the SD/SDHC/SDXC card into the memory slot until it clicks into place.
4. Close and lock the Battery/ memory card compartment.
To remove the SD/SDHC/SDXC card
1. Unlock and open the battery/ memory card compartment.
2. Gently push the card until it pops out.
3. Pull out the card carefully.
Windows 2000/XP does not support SDXC card (exFAT format). But
in Windows XP (Service Pack 2 or 3), you can download exFAT patch update to support SDXC card.
To use the SDXC card with Mac OS, the OS version should be 10.5
or higher.
The memory card that is not inserted correctly may cause damage
to the camera. Please be careful when inserting the memory card.
To prevent children from swallowing the memo ry card, please keep
the memory card out of reach of children.

Charging the Batte ry by USB
In other way charg i ng the battery, you can use the USB cable to connect the
camera with PC or USB adapter.
1. Connect the camera with the USB cable as shown.
2. Connect the other end with the USB adapter and plug it into a power outlet or with the USB port of PC directly for charging.
When the battery is charging, the LED indicator flashes.
When the battery is fully charged, the LED indicator goes off.
When the battery is unusual charged, the LED indicator flashes rapidly.
When the camera charges without the battery inside, the LED indicator goes off.
It's recommended not operating the camera when charging. Actual
charging time depends on current battery capacity and charging conditions.
You can also charge the battery with Apple adapter. Its power
output meets t h e standard 5 V/500 mA.
When the battery is removing during charging, it will rec over
charging after you unplugging and replugging USB.
Turning the Power On and Off
There are two ways to turn on the camera:
The startup image displays briefly and the startup sound plays if enabled. The zoom lens extends and the camera is turned on in Record mode.
The camera is turned on in Playbac k mod e. The zoom lens is not extended.
To turn off the camera, press the Power button. See "Modes" on page 19 to know more about Record and Playback mode.

Initial Settings
When you turn on your camera for the first time, you will be asked to d o the initial settings of your camera. First is the setup of language menu. Specify in which language menus and messages are to b e displayed on the LCD monitor.
Setting the Language
1. Press , , or to move through the selection.
2. Select a language, and then press OK to apply.
Setting the Date & Time
1. Press or to move through the selection.
2. Press or keys to change the value for the date and t i m e.
3. Press OK to apply.
4. If necessary, press to close the menu.
Now, you are ready to start taking images and videos.
Holding down or keys to change the values continuously.
Modes
Your camera ha s th ree modes:
Record Mode
This is the default mode while you turn on the camera every time. You are
able to take images in this mode.
Playback mode
Press the Playback button after the camera is turned on to view and edit captured images or playback videos. The recording of voice memo attached to images is availabl e in this mode.
Movie mode
Press the Movie button after the camera is start/stop recording video in this mode.

Using the LCD monitor
The LCD monitor shows all important information regarding camera settings as
well as the visual image of your image or vid eo. The display on the LCD monitor is called the On Screen Display or OSD.

Indicates the light is not enough and the camera is shaking, which may cause the captured i mage blurred. If the shake warning appears, you can still capture images. However, enable Stabil izer, flashlight or use tripod is recommended, these ways wil l stabilize the

Recording Images and Videos
Taking Images
Now that you are familiar with your cam era, you are now ready to take your
images. Taking images with yo ur cam era is very simple.
1. Turn on the camera by pressing the Power button.
2. Frame the shot using the focus bracket on the LCD monitor. See illustra tion on the right.
3. Pressing the Shutter button down halfway automatically focuses and adjusts the exposure, and pr essing the Shutter button down fully captures the images.
When the shake warning icon appears, hold
the camera steadily, with your ar m s at your side or use a tripod to stabilize the camera to prevent blurred images.
Setting the Zoom Control
Using a combination of 22 times optical zoom and 2 times digital zoom permits zoom photography at up to 44 times magnification. While the digital zoom can be a useful feature, the more an image is enlarged (zoomed), the more pixelated (grainier) the imag e w i ll ap pear. Please refer to "Setting the Digita l Zoom" on page 53 on how to setup digital zoom.
To adjusts the optical zoom:
1. Spin the Zoom dial to zoom in or zoom out an image.
2. The zoom indicator appears on the LCD monitor.

2. Spin the dial counterclockwise (left) to zoom out.
To adjusts the digital zoom:
1. Activate digital zoom. S e e "Setting the Digital Zoom" on page 53.
2. Spin the Zoom dial clockwise/counterclockwise to set digita l zooms in/out
to the maximum until it stops.

Using EV Compensation
Images can be captured with the overa l l scene intentionally made brighter or
darker. These settings are used when a suitable brightn ess (exposure) cann ot otherwise be obtained in circumstances where the difference in brightness between the subject and the background (the contrast) is large, or when the subject that you wish to capture is very small within t he scene. Available for stil l images only.
Press the EV/Up button on your camera to
launch the EV Compensation function.
To adjust EV settings, press the or
keys to increase/d ecrease the value. As you
adjust the settings, the LCD monit or synchronously displays the image applying the EV settings. P ress the OK button to save and apply changes.
The EV setting is only available in shooting
still images.

Using Flash
When taking pictures in difficult l ighting conditions, use the Flash/Right
button to get correct exposure. This function c annot be activated in recording videos or continuous shooting.
To activate Flash:
Press the Flash/Right button on your
camera to launch the Flash function.
To select flash o ptions, press the or
keys. Press the OK button to save and apply changes.
Flash/Right button
Your camera is equipped with five flash
modes:
Auto Flash. The flash fires automatically
whenever extra lighting is needed.
Red-eye reduction. The flash fires
twice to reduce t h e red-eye effect.
Forced on. The flash fires whenever you press the Shutter button regardless of lighting conditions.
Slow sync. The flash fires with a slow
shutter speed.
Forced off. The flash is turned off.
Flash function is only available in shooting still images, but not available in Continuous shooting /Landscape/Sunset/Dawn/ Night Scene/Fireworks/Sports/Candlelight/Moon/HDR mode/Time Lapse/Continuous Shooting/Panorama/GIF Capture/ High key/Low key/Toy Cam/Soft focus/Vivid/Cross Process/Extreme color/Painting/B&W/Sepia/Color Accent.
Do not charge the flash while spinning the Zoom dial. Charge the flash after releasing the zoom dial if necessary.

Using Self-timer
The Self-timer allows you to take im ag es after a pre-defined delay. While burst
lets you take consecutive shots. This func tion is only available in recording still images. The Self-t i m er set ting is automatically set to o ff when you turn off the camera.
To activate Self-timer:
Press the Self-timer/Down button on your camera to launch the Self-timer function.
To select Self-timer options, press the or
keys. Press the OK button to save and
apply changes.

Your camera is equipped with 4 Self-timer
modes:
Off. Captures an image without time
delay.
10 Sec. Sets a 10-second delay to capture
image after pressing the Shutter button.
2 Sec. Sets a 2-second delay to capture
image after pressing the Shutter button.
Double. Performs delay and capture
twice:
Performs a 10-second delay, then captures the image.
Performs another 2-second delay then captures the image again.

Setting the Focus Mode
This function allows users to define the t ype fo cus when reco rding a still imag e. To set the Focus mo de

To select focus options, press the or keys. Press the OK button to
save and apply changes.
Focus/Left button
Your camera supports the 4 focus modes:
Auto Focus. With auto focus, the camera will focus on the subject automatically.
Macro/Super Macro. This mode is designed for close-up photography. When Super Macro is set, the focus cannot be adjusted until Super Macr o is canceled.
Infinity. When Infinity is set, the
camera focuses o n distant objects.

Using the AE/AF LOCK/Delete Button
Use the AE/AF LOCK/Delete button on your camera to l ock focus and exposure, or delete an image/video/audio clip.
AE/AF LOCK function
1. To lock AE/AF, press the AE/AF LOCK button during movie recording or half press the shutter button then press t he AE/AF LOCK button in Photo mode. The AE/AF would be kept locked even relea se the shutter button.
2. To unlock AE/AF by any one of the following ways:

Press the MENU/Playback /Movie/Power button to launch another functio n
Delete function
The Delete function allows to remove unwanted files in the internal memory or on the memory ca rd. Protected files cannot be erased, to delete, unprotect the file first. See "Protect" on page 64.
To delete an image/video clip:

Recording Vi deos
You can record videos with the ca m era, the available recording time depends on the capacity of the memory card. Videos can be recorded until the maximum memory capacity has been reached. However the length of a single video may be limited (the lim i tation depends on the camera model).
1. Press the Movie button to start recording.
2. Focus your camera on the subject that you want to take.
3. Use the Zoom dial to zoom in and zoom out an image.
4. To stop recording, press the Movie button.
The camera will automatically stop recording when the memory capacity is full.
It will automatically stop recording when the recording time is over 29 minutes or the file size is over 4 GB.
When th e temperature of CMOS
Sensor is over 63º C, the camera will
display the warning message.
When the temperature of CMOS
Sensor is over 65º C, the camera will
shutdown automatically.
PIV function
During the movie recording, press shutter button, an icon displays on LCD means that the current screen can be stored as a photo without stopping movie recording by full pressing the shut ter b utt on. The PIV feat ure only a pp lica ble t o movie size: 1080p30 and 720p30.
When the movie size is 1080p (30fps), the capture photos are saved at 1920 x 1080 resolution.
When the movie size is 720p (30fps), the capture photos are saved at 1280 x 720 resolution.

By simply selecting one of the f ollowing 29 modes, you can capture the image with the most appropriate settings.

HDR
This feature applies digi tal processing only to the necessary portion(s) of the image and preserves details in highlights and shadows with natural contrast.

Using Intelligent Scene
This feature is most useful for novice users to capture great images even without basic knowledge of photography . Using Moon Mode
Y ou ca n use Mo on mo de to set foc us dist ance
to infinity. When you enter the Moon mode, the bottom of Preview Screen will display "OK: 855mm" indicator. Press OK button to zoom in to tele end directly.
A black frame wil l show on the center of Preview Screen if the zoom position is not at the tele end. If the lens has been pushed t o tele end, the black fr ame w i ll disappear.
A WB Palette will show on the left side of Preview Screen. It contains 5 WB colors for adjusting (Default: #1). Press Up/Down button can change the setting. The adjusting result will be presented synchronously o n Preview Screen.

The flash will be fixed at Forced Off and the Self-timer wi ll be fixed at 2 sec when use Moon mode.

Using Love Portrait
Want to take a good image when there are just two of you? All you have to do is
hold the camera and show your smiles together.
If over two faces had been recogn i zed, the camera performs 2-second countdown with a beep notice t hen ta ke a shot without pressing the Shutter
button.
Using Self Portrait
When you are the one taking the picture for yourself, then self portrait mode is necessary besides the tripod. With your long arm’s help, the camera begin face tracking in self portrait mode. If a face had been reco gnized, the camera performs 2-second countdown with a beep notic e then take a shot without pressing the Shutter button.
Tips to make a great shape by self portrait photography:
Lean in towards the camera to reduce double chin.
Angle your body and bend your arms to lo ok slimmer.
Keep your shoulders back.
Using HDR Mode
Active HDR mode preserves details in highlights and shadows, creating photos with natural contrast. Use for high contrast scenes, for example, when photographing brightly light outdoor scenery through a door/window, o r ta ki ng pictures of shaded subject s on a sunny da y. With this feature, the adjustment of contrast is acco mplished in-camera and requires no additional post-processing for the bulk of images.

Using Panorama Mode
Use this feature to create a panoramic photo from multiple shots. You can c ombine several shots into one single image quickly and easily.
The actual size of stitched image may be different due to the panoramic angle and stitching result as well as the level of camera shaking.
It is recommended to use a tripod to stabilize the camera, and then move the camera slowly during capt ur ing.
The longest time of capturing is approximately 30 seconds.
If you select From Top to Bottom or From Bottom to Top in
360-degree panorama, it is recommended to turn the camera over 90 degrees in order to make sure the stab i li ty during capturing.
In Panorama mode, uneven brightness may result in difference between the cap tured image and its actual scene.

Using Kids Mode
Tactically, kids are the most difficult to photograph. They tend to be highly animated and can be a real challenge to make them pay attention for more than just a second or two. To capture a great moment for your kids, just keep the camera in kid mode. The mode provides higher shutter sp eed and always focuses on moving subject.
Using Time Lapse
Use this feature

Use this feature to take a specific number of images in a specific shooting interval. The taken images will be combined into a GIF file and no longer exist individually.
Press OK button in Preview could launch the GIF Setting. Use Up/Down button can adjust the shooting interval. Availa ble options are 1 sec, 2 sec and 3 sec.
Use Left/Right button can adjust the number of shot. Available options are 5 pic and 10 pic.
A Pie Progr ess will be displayed on lower right of screen during GIF Capture. If all shots ha ve been taken, t h ese JPGs will be combined into a GIF and will be played in loop immediately, then a confirm box shows up. Select Save to save the file or select Cancel to erase the generated GIF.

Continuous Shooting allows you to easily capture fast-moving targets, for example children playing, running dogs or exciting sport events.

Using the Record Menu
If you are in Photo Mode, you can access the Record menu simply by pressing the MENU button on your camera.

This sets the white balance for a variety of lighting conditions and permi ts images to be captured that approach the condit i ons that are seen by the human eye.

This sets the sensitivit y for capturing images. When the sensitivity is raised (and the ISO figure is increased), photog raphy will become possible even in dark locations, but the more pixelated (grainier) the imag e w i ll ap pear.

Maximum ISO Auto
This feature allows the camera to adjust the ISO Auto from ISO 125 to the value set in Maximum sensitivity, according to light conditions. A vailable options ar e 200, 400, 800, 1600 (Default).
Metering
This sets the metering method for calculating the exposure.

Setting the Exposure Bracketi ng
Use this feature to take photos with different exposure compensation. Bracketing records 3 continuous images in the following order: Standard exposure, Underexposure and Overexposure.
Available settings are: Off, ±0.3, ±0.7 and ±1.0.
Setting the AF Area
AF stands for Automatic Focus. This feature determines the area on which the camera focuses.
To set AF Area
1. From the Record menu, select AF Area.
2. Use the or keys to go through the selection.

Setting the AF Lamp
The AF Lamp function allows you to record images even low light c onditions.
If AF Lamp is set to Auto, the AF lamp located in the front of the camera, see "Front View" on page 9, emits an red light by half pressing the Shutter button allowing the cam era to focus easily.

1. From the Record menu, select AF Lamp.
2. Use the or keys to go through the selection.

Setting the AE-L/AF-L
This feature allows locking exposure or focus or both of them by pressing AE/AF LOCK button. You can define the AE/AF LOCK button to be one of the following functions:
AE-L: Lock/Unlock exposure.
AF-L: Lock/Unlock focus.
AE-L & AF-L: Lock/Unlock both of exposure
and focus. Press the AE/AF LOCK button to unlock it. To lock AE/AF, press the AE/AF LOCK button
during movie recording or half press the shutter button then press the AE/AF LOCK button in Photo mode.

Setting the Digital Zoom
This feature controls the digital zoom mode of your camera.
Your camera enlarges an image using the optical zoom first. When the zoom scale exceeds 22x, the camera uses digital zoom.

Setting the Date Stamp
The date of recording can be printed directly
on the still images. This function must be activated before the image is captured. Once date and time are stamped on an image, they can no longer be edited or deleted.
Limitations of Date Stamp functi ons are as
follows:
Available for still images only.
This feature does not apply to Night Scene,
Night Portrait, Sports, HDR, Time Lapse, Panorama, GIF Capture, and Continuous Shooting mode.
In vertical or rotated images, the date and
time on your images still appear horizontally.
To set Date Stamp
1. From the Record menu, select Date Stamp.
2. Use the or keys to go through the selection.

Setting Auto Review
The Auto Review function lets you view the
captured image right after shooting it.
If Auto review is On, the camera will display the captured image for 1 second on the LCD monitor.
To set Auto Review
1. From the Record menu, select Auto Review.
2. Use the or keys to go through the selection.
3. Press the OK button to save and apply changes.
Blink Detection
Nothing ruins a great picture more than having your subjects' eyes closed. Blink Detection provides you with extra assurance when capturing once-in-a-lifetime moments like holding a trophy with tea mmates after winning a basketball game.

If closed eyes are detected, a saving confirmation menu appears on the screen, allowing you to re-take the shot before your subject or subjects move on.
To activate Blink Detection
1. Enable Blink Detec tion from Record menu.
2. Half press the Shutter button to focus the subject. The frame turns green to indicate focus is set.
3. Press the Shutter button to capture the image and automatically save the Image.
4. If the camera detects subject blinked eye, a "Save image" or "Cancel" option appears on the screen.
5. Select Save image to save or Cancel to disregard
Blink Detection appears in Record menu only when Face Tracking is turned on.
Blink Detection will be turned off automatically in following situation:
1. Face Tracking is turned off
2. Night Portrait, HDR, Sports, Continuous Shooting or Exposure Bracketing is turned on
Setting Grid Line
The Grid Line function will show a framing grid on preview for taking pictures. Availa ble settings are: On, Off.
The configuration of Grid Line will be changed with different aspect ratio.
Setting Stabilizer
This function allows you to prevent blurred images caused by shaking.
1. Enable the Stabilizer under the Record Menu.
2. Use the or keys to go through the selection.

Using the Movie Menu
You can access the Movie menu simply by pressing the MENU button on your camera.
When the menu is displayed, use the 4-way navigation control and the OK button to move through menu selections and apply your desired settings. To close the menu anytime, press the menu button again.
Setting Movie Mode
Use this function to adjust the resolution and quality of movie clips.
The Movie Mode supported on this Camera only available when a
SDHC class 4 or higher speed class card is inserted.
Due to limits from the FAT format, VGA recording requires
approximately 30 seconds.
Setting Prerecord
You can catch the first three seconds of action you would have potentially missed. Once enable this function, the camera starts recording video automatically before pressing Movie button. As soon as the Movie button is hit, the most recent three seconds of video is added to the beginning of the clip.
Display the icon in red while turning Prerecord on.
Prerecord will be canceled in the following situation:
After recording starts.
Switch to Playback mode.
Launch the Menu.
Enter USB mode.
Power off the camera.

The prerecord time is less than 1 second.
There is not enough internal memory to enable this function unless

You can playback the still images, video cli ps on the LCD monitor.
Viewing in Single Navigation
The Single navigation mode displa ys the image one by one on the LCD monitor. To view images/video clips, follow the steps below.
1. Press the Playback button on the camera.
2. The LCD monitor displays an image. To understand the icons and other information on the screen, please see "Photo Mode Screen Layout" on page
20.
Still Image Video
3. Use the or keys to view next/previous image/video.
4. To play a video clip, press the OK button. See "Playing Videos" on page 61 for more details.
When playing videos under playback mode, lens will retrac t after 15 seconds, but the video playback will still continue.
Viewing Series Photo
After shooting a series of phot os using Continuous Shooting or Sports mode, the photos will be grouped as a single image called "Unexpanded
Series Photo". An icon will appear to indicate it is a series photo.
To view Series Photo, follow the steps below.

Viewing Thumbnails
This function allows you to view 9 or 36 thumbnail images on the LCD monitor at the same time. Searching numerous of images is much easier then single view navigation.
To set 9-images or 36-images mode
1. Press the Playback button on the camera.
2. Spin the Zoom dial counterclockwise (left) once to enter 9-images mode or twice to enter 36-images mode.
3. Use the navigation controls to move through the items.

Playing Videos
1. Press the Playback button on the camera.

4. During playback, press the or keys to fast forward or rewind the video. The camera supports forward and rewind speed of up to 4x.

Playing Voice Memo
Voice memo is separately recorded and attached to a captured image. See
"Voice Memo" on page 65 on how to record voice memo.

Playback Menu
The Playback menu allows you to edit images, r ecord voice memo, and setup playback settings.
To go to Playback Menu:

Slide Show
The slide show function enables you to playback your photos, videos and error
files according to naming order.
To view Slide Show:

4. During Slide Show, press the UP button to pause slide show.

Protect
Set the data to read-only to prevent images from being erased by mistake. A protected file has a lock icon when viewed on Playback mode.
To protect files:
1. From the Playback menu, select Protect.
2. The Protect submenu is displayed on the LCD monitor.

Multi. Select multiple files from the
thumbnail view to lock/unlock.
Lock all. Lock all files

To protect/unprotect a single file:

8. The resized i mage is saved as a new photo.
Resize function is only applicable to aspect ratio 4:3 photos.
The original photos can be resized more than once. However, each
resized photo cannot be resized again.

You can specify the startup imag e from the captured images for camera.

DPOF
DPOF is the abbreviation for Digital Print Order Format, which allows you to
embed printing information on your memory card. You can select the imag es to be printed and how many prints to make with the DPOF menu in the camera and insert the memory card to the card compatible printer. When the printer starts printing, it will read the embedded information on the memory card and print the specified images.
To set DPOF:
1. Press the Playback button on the camera.
2. Press Menu button t o la unch t he Pla yba ck Menu.
3. Select DPOF. The submenu appears. Available settings are as follow s:

Use this feature to combine two videos with the same spec ification (movie size
and fps) into one video.
To combine two videos:

4. Select Movie Paste. The videos wit h the same specification as the origina l vi deo are displayed on the LCD monitor.
5. Use the or keys to scroll and the or keys to mark/unmark the second video.
6. Press the OK button and select Yes to merge it to the end of the original video and overwrite it.
The total length of the combined video cannot be ov er 30 minutes.
After combining videos, the second video will no longer exist with a

The Wi-Fi Settings contains Camera Name and Password. You can use the 4-way navigation control to move the c

enter the selected letter or numbers. The default Camera Name is "Wi-Fi Camera",
you can change it with 1~32 alphanumeric characters (case-sensitive).
The default Password is "12345678", you can change it with 8~16 alphanumeric characters (case-sensitive).
To switch the keyboard:
In Lowercase Keyboard, select and press OK button to switch the
keyboard t o Uppercase. Likew ise, select and press OK button in Uppercase Keyboard to switch the keyboard to Lowercase.
Select and a keyboard list should pop up. Choose the desired
keyboard and press OK button to change the keyboard language.
For making sure your experience of using Wi-Fi function is good, it's recommended to change your Camera Name and Password at first.

Using Wi-Fi function
With Wi-Fi function, you can immediately transfer photos and videos in this camera to other smart devices and even share them to soci al networking sites when it is connect ed. In addition, those smart devices a re also used as remote controls. Video recording, photo capturing or file downloading from the camera may be operated d ir ec tly via the smart devices.
You can launch the Wi-Fi menu by pressing the Wi-Fi button only in Preview or Single Navigation mode.
Steps of connecting with digital camera and smart device
1. Before using Wi-Fi mode, please download and install the Wi-Fi application
"Link123" from Google Play (Android) or Apple Store (iOS) on your smart devices.

Make the Wi-Fi connection between camera and smart device
If you would like to perform "Remote Control" or "Download GPS Data" function on the smart device, please make t h e Wi-Fi connection between camer a and smart device. Geotag Recording
1. Select "Remote Control" from Wi-Fi Menu of the camera.
2. Select "Geotagging" from App menu on the smart device.
3. Turn on your GPS in the smart devic e.
4. Run the "Link123" application on the smart device and click on the "Geotagging" option.
5. Click on the red but ton on the "Geotagging" interface. The camera will synchronize with the smart device, after which the sma r t device will start to record GPS data. The camera will return to the remote control interface. To stop recording the GPS data, press the same button again.
6. Press the Wi-Fi button to disconnect between the camera and the smart device. During this time, you can take pictures and record videos normally with the camera. The "Link123" application on the smart device will remind you of t he disconnection. Click on OK to confirm, but do not stop the GPS data recording on the "Link123" application.
7. Once done taking the photo, use the
"Download GPS Data" f eat ure to impo rt t he
information on location where the photo was taken from the smart devi ce and save this information onto the photo.

Download GPS Data functio n:
1. Select "Download GPS Data" from the Wi-Fi menu of the camera.
2. T ap the Camera Name from Network List on the smart device.
3. Tap "Upload to Camera" on the smart device.
4. The camera will enter download screen.
5. Uploading progress bar will be displayed on the smart device.
6. A dialog box for user to confirm whether to keep the GPS data will be displayed on the smart device.
7. Wi-Fi will be disconnected automatically when the uploading is finished. Then, the message "GPS data comparison have been completed." will be shown on the screen for 2 seconds, and the screen will return to Preview mode or Playback mode.
8. You can see t he information on location where the photo was taken by viewing the property of the photo on PC.
Since the GPS data is recorded once p er m i nute, the data will be imported to the photo with the same recording time. Non-corresponding data will not be imported to any photo.

Connecting the Camera to a Pri nter
You can print your images directly using a PictBridge compatible printer.
1. Turn on your Printer. Check that the printer is turned on, there is paper in the printer, and there are no printer error messages.
2. Connect one end of the USB cable to the printer while the other end to USB terminal on the camera.
3. Enter the print mode and print the selected images.

About Folder and File Names
Your camera automatically creates specific directory of folder in the internal
memory cards to organize captur ed image and video files.
File Naming
File names begin with "DSCI" and followed by a 4-d igit number that increases in
sequence. File numb ering starts from 0001 when a new folder is created.
The highest file nu mb er is 99 99, if exc eed s 9999, t he ca m era wil l st ar t over th e
file number from 0001.
Do not change the folder and file names in t he m emory card using your PC. It may be unable to playback the data using the camera.
