BRAKE ADJUSTMENT:
IMPORTANT! Inspect and check the
adjustment of the hand brake before attempting to ride on your MINIMOTO™ MOTOCROSS BIKE.
Minor Brake adjustment
The brakes will need to be adjusted over time. Tightening or loosening the brake adjustment knob can obtain minor brake adjustments. This knob is located next to the hand brake. To do this adjustment, loosen the nut and turn the conical shaped knob to adjust the brake (Fig. 9). Retighten the knob with the nut when the appropriate feel of the brake is found (Fig. 10).
Major Brake adjustment
If the brakes need a more drastic adjustment, use the wrench to loosen the nut that connects the cable to the rear wheel (Fig.
11)
. When the nut is loosened, pull the brake cable tight until there is no slack in the cable. Retighten the nut securely (Fig. 12) and check the brak
es again before riding.
IMPORTANT!
In the event of extraordinary heat or temporary malfunction of the brake after a prolonged or aggressive use, stop riding the bike immediately. Call the Minimoto Customer Service Center at the Toll-free number before further use.

MOTOCROSS BIKE
TIRE INFLATION PROCEDURE:
Recommended tire pressure is 25 PSI. NEVER inflate the tires above 30 PSI.
WARNING: Tire inflation must be done ONLY BY AN ADULT. Tires should be inflated with a standard “bicycle” type pump. Inflation at an automobile service station can easily result in over inflation of the tires. Over inflation of the tires can
result in serious injury or even death.
Tires MUST be at the proper inflation to achieve best handling characteristics and control. Over inflation will make
the tires “bulge” outward. This will cause premature wear of the tire. Under inflation will cause the tire to look flat on the ground. This will result in slow running speeds and bad handling. Make sure the tires are properly inflated to get the best performance from your vehicle.
Remove the key from the lock before inflating tires.
To inflate the tires, unscrew the valve cap from the valve stem and attach the bicycle pump as you would with any bicycle. Pump up the tires to 25 PSI. Replace valve cap when inflation is complete.

TIRE REPAIR:
WARNING: Inspect tires and wheels regularly. In the event that a tire should consistently lose air pressure, the tires can be repaired at a local bicycle repair shop. The tires have an inner tube construction.
When the tire tread is worn to the point where the grooves are difficult to see, replace the tire(s) immediately.
If the tire tread shows uneven wear, check the axle to make sure the wheel is loaded evenly and correctly. Uneven wear may be a sign of uneven loading.
Should the wheels become bent or cracked replace immediately to avoid breakage resulting in potential injury.

MOTOCROSS BIKE
CIRCUIT BREAKER:
IMPORTANT:
Circuit breaker information and reset:
Your MINIMOTOTMMOTOCROSS BIKE has a built-in circuit breaker. This is located near the Charging port (F ig. 31)
The circuit breaker shuts the electrical power down if it detects too much current being used. This protects the electrical components from extreme abuse. The circuit breaker may trip if the vehicle is going up a steep hill, has too heavy a load, or the wheels are blocked for some reason.
THE MOTOCROSS BIKE WILL COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN WHEN THE POWER OVERLOADS. Check to see if the black button in the center of the circuit breaker has "popped up". To reset the circuit breaker, wait about 10 seconds for it to cool down. Turn the key off. Press the black button down to reset. When reset the button stays down. If the button does not stay down, wait until it has cooled down enough.
Once the circuit breaker has been reset, turn the key to the ‘on’ position and resume riding as normal.
IF YOU LOSE THE KEYS:
NOTE: Replacement keys can be ordered from the Minimoto Service Center for a fee. You can also have your key duplicated at any key shop or kiosk. It is a good idea to store an extra key in a safe place.

Replacing the chain if it "pops off"
WARNING: Disconnect the battery before removing the protective chain cover. This will ensure no possibility of the motor or chain running accidentally while working in this area. Refer to page 12, 13 "Replacing the battery" in this instruction manual for this operation.
It is possible that under extreme conditions the chain may pop off. If this occurs, the motor will run but the rear wheel will not turn under power. The chain can be replaced by the following procedure.
1) Support the bike so that the rear wheel is not touching the ground(Fig. 32). IMPORTANT: Make sure the bike will not fall over during this process. Work on a work bench or in an area with plenty of space.
2) Remove the 3 screws with the screwdriver holding the chain to the frame (Fig.
33)
3) Use a screw driver to
separate the five screws holding the upper and lower chain cover pieces (Fig. 34
& Fig. 35)
.
