Read this chapter to know how to operate the camera.

You may turn on the c amera b y press ing the p ower bu tton.

You may turn off the camera by holding t he powe r butto n for 2 sec onds.

The c amera i s also pr e-con figur ed to aut o turn on a nd star t recor ding on ce it rec eives

pow er, e.g. w hen the v ehicl e engin e is star ted wit h a cigar c harge r to powe r the

cam era.

The c amera i s also pr e-con figur ed to aut o stop re cordi ng and tu rn off once it loses

pow er, e.g. w hen the v ehicl e engin e is stop ped.

The c amera i s also pr econf igure d to auto t urn off if it is in standby mo de for a lo ng

tim e witho ut any bu tton op erati on.

The re is no li thium b atter y built i n the cam era so it c an’t be p ower on w ithou t exter nal

pow er supp ly. The built in supe r capac itor on ly help t o finis h the las t file af ter pow er

sup ply cut o ff; and the super capacito r need ha lf hour t o recha rge.

The c amera s uppor ts sing le micr oSD car d up to 128 GB. It is r ecomm ended t o use

hig h speed m icroS D card (h igher t han Cla ss 6, SDH C/SDX C compa tible ) to avoi d

sto rage pr oblem s.

If yo u want to p layba ck the vi deos or p hotos o n compu ter, a mic roSD ca rd read er

(op tiona l acces sory) i s neede d.

The G PS PLAYER program downloa d link is p laced i n the PLAYER.TXT in t he root

fol der of mi croSD c ard, wh ich can p layba ck the re corde d video s with GP S trace s.

You can also use a co mpati ble med ia play er to pla yback t he vide o files d irect ly

wit hout GP S trace . (You may need a codec f or the me dia pla yback t o decod ing the

MOV v ideos , K-lit e Codec P ack is re comme nded. )

If yo u don’t h ave a mic roSD ca rd read er on han d, you ca n conne ct the ca mera wi th

you r compu ter wit h the sup plied m icroU SB-US B cable ; the das h camer a will be

rec ogniz ed as a mas s stora ge devi ce on com puter.

RECOR DING MUTE VIDEO

mut e the mic ropho ne insi de came ra any ti me. Pre ss the UP button again to ca ncel

mut e statu s.

The re is a sma ll blue L ED on the r emote c ontro l for wor king st atus in dicat ing.

You can replace t he CR20 32 batt ery in th e remot e contr ol if the b lue LED i s dark or

the r emote c ontro l funct ion not w orkin g, whic h means t he batt ery was d rain.

The c amera i s pre-c onfig ured to p rovid e you a sim ple plu g and pla y exper ience - t he

aut omati cally t urn off when the mainboard t emper ature g o up to 95° C (200° F) and

aut omati cally t urn on wh en the ma inboa rd cool ing to 75 °C(16 7°F).

the w edges t o adjus t the cam era vie w direc tion. There are two wedges a ttach ed in

acc essor y bag, on e is 2° ang le and an other i s 4° angl e. With t hose yo u can mou nt the

das h camer a at a 2°, 4° o r with bo th toge ther 6° o ffset location.
