BATTERY REPLACEMENT: pH51 is supplied with BEPS (Battery Error Pre-venting
System) which avoids any erroneous reading due to low
battery level, by switching the meter off. To replace the batteries unscrew the battery compartment cap and replace all three 1.5V batteries while paying attention to their polarity.
Make sure the gasket is in place before screwing back the cap.
WARRANTY: This meter (base unit) is warranted from all defects in
materials and manufacturing for a period of two years.
The electrode (probe end) is warranted for a period of 6 months.
During this period, the required repair or replacement of parts,
where the damage is not due to negligence or erroneous operation by the user, will be effected free of charge.

PH51 WATERPROOF METER
OPERATORS MANUAL
#1: CONDITIONING OF THE PH51:
THIS MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO
CALIBRATION & USE OF THIS UNIT
Remove the cap from the end of the unit and immerse
the pH51 probe into a cup or jar with 1” to 1.5” inches
of Bottle Drinking water, or 4.01 calibration solution, or
MA9015 storage solution for a minimum of 2 to 4
hours to activate the PH51 electrode.

#2: CALIBRATION OF THE PH51:
After doing the conditioning and activation above unscrew the battery compartment cap on the top of the meter and locate the 2 calibration screws at the bottom of the well opposite the battery compartment. Perform the following two-point calibration procedure.

With the cap off Immerse the Probe into pH7.01 (M10007) buffer solution provided.
• Allow the reading to stabilize and with the small screwdriver provided inside the case, turn the ( “7” ) calibration screw located at the bottom, inside the battery compartment, until the LED display shows "7.0".
• Rinse the electrode with water and now put the probe into pH4.01 (M10004) buffer solution provided.
• Allow the reading to stabilize and with the small
screwdriver turn the ( “4” ) calibration trimmer until
the LED display shows "4.0".

#3: OPERATION OF THE PH51:
• Remove the unit from your storage container cup or jar ( Remember to always store the probe wet )
• Turn the pH51 on by pressing the ON key.
• Immerse the electrode in the solution to be tested.
• Stir gently and wait for the reading to stabilize.
• After use, turn unit off by pressing the OFF key and
rinse the end of the probe with water and then return it to jar or cup for storage. ___________________________________________
#4: STORAGE OF THE PH51:
Leave the protective cap off and put the PH51 back in a
cup or jar that has 1” to 1.5” of either Bottle Drinking
water, or 4.01 calibration solution, or MA9015 storage
solution

Always store the probe in a cup or jar that is 1” to 1.5”
inches deep in Bottle Drinking water, or 4.01 calibration
solution, or MA9015 storage
