OPERATIONAL GUIDE
• Remov e th e el ect r od e and tur n th e meter on b y
pressing the ON/OFF button. All the used
segments on th e LCD w ill b e visib le for 1 sec ond
or as long as the but ton is pressed.
• Immerse the electrode in the solution to be
tested.
Stir gently and wait for stable reading, i.e. the
inst ability ind icator (h ourglass) on the LCD tur ns
off.
• The ORP (mV) value will be displayed on the
main LCD, whil e t h e tem p eratur e is show n on th e
secondary LCD.
• To freeze the display, while in measurement
mode, press and hold the SET/HOLD button.
The “HO LD” m ess age appear s on the s ec ondar y
display and the reading will be frozen on the
LCD.

• To turn the meter off, press the ON/OFF button.
The “OFF” message will appear on the
secondary display. Release the button.
Note: T he meter i s fact ory c alibrat ed. C ontact
the nearest Service Center for periodic
recalibration.
°C/°F SELECTION
• Press and hold the ON/OFF button until the
secondary LCD shows “TEMP” and the current
temperature unit (e.g. TEMP °C).
• Use SET/HOLD to select the unit (°C or °F);
then pr ess again O N/ O F F t o r et u r n t o t h e n o r m al
mode.
ELECTRODE REP LACEMENT
• Remove the protective cap and unscrew the
plastic ri ng on th e top of th e electr od e.
• P u ll ou t t h e MI57P elec tr ode and r ep lac e it with
a new on e.
• Make sure the gaskets are in place before
screwing back the ring.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
When the batteries become weak, the battery
symbol on the LCD will light up to advise that
only a f ew hour s of working time is remaining.
The meter is also provided with BEPS (Battery
Error Prevention System), which avoids any
erroneous readings due to low battery level by
automatically switching the meter off.
It is recommended to replace the batteries
immediately.
To replace the batteries unscrew the battery
compartment cap and replace all four 1.5V
batteries while paying attention to their polarity.
Make s ure t h e g as k et is in place befor e s c rewing
back the cap.
Batteries should only be replaced in a nonhazardous area using the battery type specified
in this instruction manual.
WARRANTY
This instrument is warranted against defects in materials and
manufacturing for a period of two years from the date of
purchase. Probe is warranted for 6 months.
If during this period the repair or replacement of parts is required,
where the damage is not due to negligence or erroneous
operation by the user, please return the parts to either distributor
or our office and the repair will be done free of charge. Damages
due to accidents, misuse, tampering or lack of prescribed
maintenance are not covered. Milwaukee/Martini instruments
reserves the right to make improvements in design, construction
and appearance of its products without advance notice.
