48040 Suspended Washer-Extractors.

Milnor’s 48040 open-pocket washer-extractors are designed for fast production and excellent wash quality. With 300 G
extraction rates, Mark VI control, and tilt options, these machines are a good choice for high-production laundries.
Easy loading/unloading.
Big 30" (762 mm) door opening, at 37" (940 mm) height, facilitates
material handling. This reduces operator fatigue and helps increase
run time.

This model loads and unloads quickly and easily due to its open-pocket design. With no cylinder dividers, no cylinder
repositioning is needed and there’s only one door to open. The 48040 is available in two-way tilt models, as well as stationary
models. Gravity assist minimizes effort, reducing fatigue while helping prevent strain. Goods can be dumped into a cart or onto
a conveyor. Two-way tilt models also tilt backward so gravity aids manual loading, as well as loading by slings or other means.
Suspension cushions vibration.
Hefty, dynamically tuned suspension where the center of mass is located where an imbalance would occur.
Dynamic forces are evenly applied for minimum vibration, less wear and tear. Also means greater output
because it prevents stopping-and-recycling. Innovative "smooth coil" rubber springs reduce vibration.
A choice of speeds.
Simple inverter drive produces all speeds needed. You get the best speeds for a wide variety of fabrics.
665 RPM high-speed extract.
High-speed extract is 665 RPM, yielding 300 Gs. Great for all-cottons! (There are lower extracts for
polyesters.) This reduces dry times and increases washroom productivity.
Only 1 single-speed motor.
Inverter drive gets all speeds from only one single-speed motor. No troublesome idler pulley is needed. The
energy efficient drive also reduces peak load demand.
Typical Milnor ruggedness.
Tough frame – designed through computer analysis – disperses stress evenly for long life.
Versatile microprocessor control.
Mark VI microprocessor (48040 H7W/H7N) provides 100
formulas, 98 programmable. It’s the same control used
on larger Milnor washer-extractors. Both have informative
displays and formula counters to aid supervision.

Automatic supply injection.
Fittings are provided for 16 liquid supply ports. Both control systems
come standard with 15 supply signals – additional signals are optional.
Easy servicing.
Top-mounted motor is easy to service. Controls and other
components are quickly accessible. Self-diagnostics help shorten
– or even avoid – service calls. Easy-to-reach floor bolt holes aid
installation, too.
