Thank you for purchasing from our beautiful range.
All our furniture has been treated with UV resistant teak oil at the factory.
To maintain its original appearance, it is essential to treat your new furniture with UV resistant protection. If
left untreated, the wood will weather to a silvery gray and will likely split. We have tried and tested the ‘BEHR
Premium - Transparent Waterproofing Wood Finish’ coating. The use of this product will maintain the
integrity and appearance of the wood. This product has to be used for Warranty Validation.
We advise coating your new furniture every 18 months with this product. ‘BEHR Premium - Transparent
Waterproofing Wood Finish’ can easily be found in most hardware stores and is available in clear or tinted
finishes.
Please note: Small cracks and fissures may develop with changes in humidity and temperature. This is a
natural, uncontrollable characteristic of solid wood furniture and is completely normal.
Although the fabric used in our product is UV and weather resistant, there is no fabric completely resistant to
the damages of prolonged periods of sun exposure. For the longevity of this product, we highly recommend
you remove all furnishings, these being the cushions and/or canopy to prevent fading and sun damage. This
is also relevant in storm or wild weather. We also recommend removing all furnishings when your furniture is
not in use for long periods.
There are products available on the market which can be used regularly to protect the fabric, such as
‘Scotchgard TM – Water & Sun Shield’.
