In work sites of every variety, edges are much

more common than people realize – and they

may pose a greater risk than you’d expect.

Whether you’re laying roofing, traversing a

beam, or simply working near the unprotected

sides of an upper floor, falls over an edge

are more hazardous than other falls.

Without protection designed for edges,

traditional lifelines risk being severed and the

force upon the worker in the event of a fall is

significantly increased. Honeywell estimates

that as many as 80% of fall-protection users

have applications in which a lifeline will come

in contact with an edge in the event of a fall.

New Standards for Safety

As awareness of this threat grows, new safety

standards have been defined such as the stringent

ANSI Z359.142014 LE (Leading Edge), which

requires leading-edge protection to meet

criteria including:

• Edge radius as sharp as 0.005 in (0.13 mm)

• Safe for users connected at foot level

• Requires an integral shock-absorber
at the worker connection

One pin connection, a single click and you can focus on the task at hand.

Lightweight, compact harness connector with free-floating shock

absorber pack keeps worker cooler, and provides a more comfortable

work experience.

Increases safety

Two buttons on harness connector, two different planes and two

distinct actions provide the safest choice to prevent accidental

disengagement. A red indicator line gives a warning if the pin is not

properly engaged.

Lowers cost of ownership

Durable pin activation buttons and ballistic nylon shock absorber cover

along with the abilit y to replace a damaged unit results in a decreased

cost of ownership.

Ensures compatibility with all Miller harnesses

The product is compatible with all Miller harnesses, without any

add-ons. No cumbersome straps to attach to the harness or special

connectors are required for different harness sizes or configurations.

Prevents unit slippage

An optional Back DPad clip is included which is highly ef fective in

preventing slippage while providing easier connection to the harness.
