About Your Thermometer:
Your WeatherWatch™ Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer allows you to monitor indoor and outdoor temperatures from any room in your home.
You simply place your WeatherWatch™ Transmitter in a desired remote location (e.g.outside your home, in your garden, etc.) and your WeatherWatch™ Base Station anywhere within an approximate range of 250’(e.g.in your bedroom, in your kitchen, etc.).
The Transmitter then measures the remote temperature and

Getting Started With Your Thermometer
A. Powering Your Base Station

Page 9
1. Install Batteries
Install 4 “AA”batteries into the battery compartment.
B. Setting Up Your Base Station
1. Choose Fahrenheit or Celcius
You may push the C°/ F° button at any time to change all temperature readings to Fahrenheit or Celcius. The Base Station is preset to display readings in Fahrenheit.
2. Set Temperature Alarms
Minimum and maximum temperature targets may be set for each temperature location. The Temperature Alarm will sound when the temperature of a location goes below the minimum or above the maximum temperature targets for that location. To set the temperature alarms, refer to Use of Temperature Alarms in the GENERAL OPERATIONS section of this manual.
3. Placement of Base Station
Your Base Station can stand upright or be mounted on a wall via the wall mounting hook located on the back of the Base Station.
Note: your Base Station and Transmitter(s) communicate via radio waves.Certain large metal objects (e.g. garage door, aluminum siding, etc.) may cause interference. If you find that the Transmitter(s) communicate well with the Base Station when near each other, but not when further apart, changing the location of the Base Station or Transmitter(s) can solve the problem (see Problem Solving).

C. Setting Up The Transmitter
1. Select Transmission Channel
The first step in setting up your Transmitter involves the selection of a location number. To monitor more than one remote location, you must give each Transmitter its unique location number (1,2, or 3) so that the Base Station can tell them apart.
Press the button on the back of the transmitter to select a remote location numbers for each Transmitter. A location number will display on the Transmitter LCD. Continue to press the button to step to each locationavailable.
2. Install batteries
Install 2 AA batteries according to the orientation shown in the Battery Compartment. While holding the batteries in place, turn the unit over and check that the Transmitter is displaying a temperature. You may need to wait up to a minute for it to read and display the initial temperature.
If no temperature is displayed after 1 minute, see the “Problem Solving”section of this manual.
Use AA lithium batteries for longer battery life and better performance in cold temperature conditions.
3. Select Fahrenheit and Celcius
The temperature shown on the Transmitter display can be in Fahrenheit or Celcius (Fahrenheit is the factory setting). To select either unit of measurement, push the °C/°F button until your preference is shown.Your Base Station will display temperature in the unit of measurement you select on the Base Station no matter which temperature you select on the

Transmitter.
4. Adjust length of Extendible Temperature Sensor
Your Transmitter measures temperature at the metal probe end of the 45”Temperature Sensor. The Temperature Sensor can be used fully extended, partially extended or not extended at all.The length is adjusted by storing any excess wire in the Battery Compartment of the Transmitter. When not extended, the probe end conveniently snaps into the housing at the bottom of the Transmitter.
6.Test for transmission and reception
Before installing the Transmitter in its permanent location, test that the Transmitter is communicating properly with the Base Station.
Wait for a few minutes and check that the temperature reading is being displayed on the Base Station and the Transmitter in the right location, and.
7. Select location and mount Transmitter
(i) Select the temperature location(s) that you want to moni-
tor.Make sure that the Temperature Sensor can reach its intended location, and avoid placing the Transmitter next to metal objects that may affect transmission range (e.g. garage door, aluminum siding, etc.).
(ii) Your Transmitter can be mounted in three orientations
with the included wall bracket and screws (included).
At temperatures of -10°F or below, the Transmitter’s LCD display may not show the temperature but temperature measurement and transmission will continue to -40°F.

General Operations
Viewing temperature locations
The Temperature Locations area of the Base Station display shows a list of all transmitters that are sending temperature readings to the Base Station. The upper display area shows the Active Temperature Location.Pressing the Scroll Key left or right will change the active location.
Your WeatherWatch™ Thermometer indicates that transmission is occurring and if the batteries are low.
Transmission Indication - Transmission between the Transmitter and the Base Station is indicated in 2 ways: (i) the Radio Transmission Indicator located on the Transmitter display shows an icon; and (ii) the temperature of the monitored location is displayed on the Base Station display.
Should the transmission cease, the display will become blank for that monitored location.
Low Battery Indication - Notification that your Transmitter batteries are low will occur via 1 or both of the following ways:(i) the Low Battery Indicator icon becomes visible on the Transmitter display; and/or (ii) temperature for a particular location is no longer displayed on the Base Station display. Instead, that area is blank.
Daily High and Low Temperatures
The Base Station keeps track of the lowest and highest temperatures that it receives over the day for each location.

Problem Solving
Situation:
My Base Station does not show remote temperatures.
Solution:
(i)Reset the Base Station’s computer controlled electronics
by removing and re-installing the batteries.
(ii)Check that the batteries are properly installed in the
Transmitter(s) and the Radio Transmission Indicator is visible on the Transmitter display.
Situation:
The LCD display on my Transmitter is blank.
Solution:
(i)Check that fresh batteries have been properly installed in
the Transmitter.
(ii)The LCD display can withstand cold temperatures, but if
the temperature drops below 10°F,the Transmitter’s LCD display may not show the temperature.Do not be alarmed! Measurement and temperature transmission will continue and the temperature readings will become visible again when the temperature rises above 10°F.

Situation:
How do I add more Transmitters to my WeatherWatch™ Thermometer system?
Solution:
(i)Your WeatherWatch™ Base Station can Base Station tem-
perature readings from up to 3 separate WeatherWatch™ Transmitters. To set-up each additional Transmitter, please follow the instructions included with each Transmitter.
(ii) Make sure that each additional Transmitter
that each Transmitter is assigned its own individual location number (1,2,or 3).
For example:if you have 2 Transmitters, designate the first Transmitter as Location 1 and the secondTransmitter as Location 2
