Caution

• This appliance is for domestic use only. Use as described in this instruction booklet. Misuse or improper handling may cause problems in the appliance and cause injury to the user.
• Ensure that the voltage indicated on the nameplate matches the mains voltage before plugging in the appliance.
• Do not use or store the appliance outdoors.
• Always remove the plug from the power socket when the appliance is not in use. Do not leave the appliance unattended when switched on.
• Before cleaning or storing your appliance, always unplug the appliance from the power supply and let it cool down.

• This device does not have a power switch. The device starts operating as soon as it is plugged in. Unplug the device to turn it off.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
• Always watch the unit while it is being used! (Very dry bread can start to burn when being toasted!)
• The metal parts get up! DANGER OF BURNS!

OPERATION
1. Only connect the unit to a properly installed and earthed power socket (220-240V~50Hz).
2. To set the toasting level turn the selector clockwise from the lightest level -1- to the darkest -7. If you are not sure, start with a lower level.
3. Insert one slice of bread per toasting slot and lower the slot with the lever until it snaps into place.
4. The unit starts to toast and switches off automatically at the end. The slide pops up automatically.
5. Allow the unit to cool down before you put it away.
FROZEN: To defrost and to complete the toasting
of deep-frozen bread.
REHEAT: To warm bread already toasted. CANCEL: For the anticipated stopping of the
toasting procedure.
CLEANING
• Pull the mains plug out of the mains socket before you clean the unit and allow the unit to cool down.
• Only use a slightly damp cloth to clean the outside of the unit.
• Do not use abrasive or aggressive cleaners.
• Pull the crumb tray out, remove any bits of bread and put the tray back in.
STORAGE
• Make sure the appliance is unplugged and allow it to cool down before storing it.
• Clean the device before storing it (see Maintenance section).
• The power cord should be wrapped around the bottom of the base for storing.
• Store the appliance in a cool and dry place.
• The device can be stored in a vertical position.
AUTOMATIC CENTERING GUIDES
Lowering the toasting lever closes the centering
guides, and holds the bread or toaster food centrally in the toasting slots.
Note: The toasting lever(s) will not lock down unless
the toaster is plugged into a 220-240V AC electrical outlet.
