Theairconditionerwillcontrolroomtemperature automaticallyroundthetemperaturepointsetbyyou. IftheAUTOmodeisuncomfortable,youcanselect desiredconditionsmanually.

WhenyoupushSLEEPbuttononremotecontroller duringcooling,heating(cooling&heatingmodelsonly), orAUTOoperation,theairconditionerwill automaticallyincrease(cooling)ordecrease(heating)
perhourforthefirst2hours,thenhold steadyforthenext5hours,afterthatitwillswitchoff. Thischaracteristicmaintainsbothenerysavingand comfortinnightoperation.
DRYINGoperation
Thetemperatureisregulatedwhiledehumidifyingby repeatingturningonandoffofthecoolingoperationor fanonly.ThefanspeedisLOW.
Optimaloperation
Toachieveoptimalperformance,pleasenotethe following: Adjusttheairflowdirectioncorrectlysothatitisnot directedonpeople. Adjustthetemperaturetoachievethehighestcomfort level.Donotadjusttheunittoexcessivetemperature levels. ClosedoorsandwindowsonCOOLorHEATmodes, orperformancemaybereduced. UseTIMERONbuttonontheremotecontrollerto selectatimeyouwanttostartyourairconditioner. Donotputanyobjectnearairinletorairoutlet,asthe efficiencyoftheairconditionermaybereducedand theairconditionermaystoprunning. Cleantheairfilterperiodically,otherwisecoolingor heatingperformancemaybereduced. Donotoperateunitwithhorizontallouvreinclosed position.

Anti-coldair(Coolingandheatingmodelsonly)
TheunitisdesignednottoblowcoldaironHEATmode,whentheindoorheatexchangerisin
oneofthefollowingthreesituationsandthesettemperaturehasnotbeenreached.
A)Whenheatinghasjuststarting.
B)Defrosting. C)Lowtemperatureheating.
Theindoororoutdoorfanstoprunningwhendefrosting(Coolingandheatingmodelsonly).
Defrosting(Coolingandheatingmodelsonly)
Frostmaybegeneratedontheoutdoorunitduringheatcyclewhenoutdoortemperatureislow andhumidityishighresultinginlowerheatingefficiencyoftheairconditioner. Duringthisconditionairconditionerwillstopheatingoperationandstartdefrostingautomatically.
Thetimetodefrostmayvaryfrom4to10minutesaccordingtotheoutdoortemperatureand
theamountoffrostbuildupontheoutdoorunit.

Awhitemistcomingoutfromtheindoorunit
Awhitemistmaygenerateduetoalargetemperaturedifferencebetweenairinletandairoutlet
onCOOLmodeinanindoorenvironmentthathasahighrelativehumidity.
Awhitemistmaygenerateduetomoisturegeneratedfromdefrostingprocesswhentheair
conditionerrestartsinHEATmodeoperationafterdefrosting.
3.
Lownoiseoftheairconditioner
Youmayhearalowhissingsoundwhenthecompressorisrunningorhasjuststoppedrunning. Thissoundisthesoundoftherefrigerantflowingorcomingtoastop. Youcanalsohearalow"squeak"soundwhenthecompressorisrunningorhasjuststopped
running.Thisiscausedbyheatexpansionandcoldcontractionoftheplasticpartsintheunit whenthetemperatureischanging.
Anoisemaybeheardduetolouverrestoringtoitsoriginalpositionwhenpowerisfirstturnedon.
4.
Dustisblownoutfromtheindoorunit.
Thisisanormalconditionwhentheairconditionerhasnotbeenusedforalongtimeorduringfirst useoftheunit.
5.
Apeculiarsmellcomesoutfromtheindoorunit.
Thisiscausedbytheindoorunitgivingoffsmellspermeatedfrombuildingmaterial,fromfurniture, orsmoke.
Donottouchthemetalpartsoftheunitwhen removingthefilter.Injuriescanoccurwhen handlingsharpmetaledges. Donotusewatertocleaninsidetheairconditioner. Exposuretowatercandestroytheinsulation, leadingtopossibleelectricshock. Whencleaningtheunit,firstmakesurethatthe powerandcircuitbreakerareturnedoff.

TheairconditionerturnstoFANonlymodefromCOOLorHEAT(Forcoolingand
heatingmodelsonly)mode.
Whenindoortemperaturereachesthetemperaturesettingonairconditioner,thecompressorwill stopautomatically,andtheairconditionerturnstoFANonlymode.Thecompressorwillstartagain whentheindoortemperaturerisesonCOOLmodeorfallsonHEATmode(Forcoolingandheating modelsonly)tothesetpoint.

7.Drippingwatermaygenerateonthesurfaceoftheindoorunitwhencoolinginahigh relativelyhumidity(relativehumidityhigherthan80%).Adjustthehorizontallouverto themaximumairoutletpositionandselectHIGHfanspeed.

Heatingmode(Forcoolingandheatingmodelsonly)
Theairconditionerdrawsinheatfromtheoutdoorunitandreleasesitviatheindoorunit duringheatingoperation.Whentheoutdoortemperaturefalls,heatdrawninbytheair conditionerdecreasesaccordingly.Atthesametime,heatloadingoftheairconditioner increasesduetolargerdifferencebetweenindoorandoutdoortemperature.Ifa comfortabletemperaturecan'tbeachievedbytheairconditioner,wesuggestyouusea supplementaryheatingdevice.
9.
Auto-restartfunction
Powerfailureduringoperationwillstoptheunitcompletely. FortheunitwithoutAuto-restartfeature,whenthepowerrestores,theOPERATIONindicator ontheindoorunitstartsflashing.Torestarttheoperation,pushtheON/OFFbuttononthe
remotecontroller.FortheunitwithAuto-restartfeature,whenthepowerrestores,theunit restartsautomaticallywithalltheprevioussettingspreservedbythememoryfunction. Forsomemodels,themachineisspecialdesignedwithAuto-restartfunctionfortheopenangle ofthehorizontallouver.PowerfailureduringoperationorpressingtheON/OFFbuttononthe remotecontrollerwillstoptheunitcompletely.WhenthepowerrestoresorpressingtheON/OFF buttonontheremotecontrolleragain,theunitrestartsautomaticallywithalltheprevioussettings includingtheopenangleofthehorizontallouverbythememoryfunction.Sowestronglysuggest thattheopenangleofthehorizontallouvershouldnotbesettoosmall,incasethecondensed waterformsanddropsfromthehorizontallouver.PresstheAUTO/COOLbuttonunderthe frontpanelandtheopenangleofthehorizontallouverwillberestoredtothestandardangle whenthecondensedwaterformsonthehorizontallouver.
10.Lightningoracarwirelesstelephoneoperatingnearbymaycausetheunittomalfunction.
Disconnecttheunitwithpowerandthenre-connecttheunitwithpoweragain.Pushthe ON/OFFbuttonontheremotecontrollertorestartoperation.
TroubleshootingTips
Stoptheairconditionerimmediatelyifoneofthefollowingfaultsoccur.Disconnectthe powerandcontactthenearestcustomerservicecenter.
OPERATION/RUNindicatororotherindicatorscontinueflashingand thisflashcan'tbefixedbydisconnectingthepower,andthenconnectitinagain.
