GENERAL INFORMATION

- Front Doors: Full width doors, can be hinged on the left or right of the rack
frame. Ensure door is bonded to enclosure frame.

- Rear Doors: Split rear doors that are the full width of the enclosure. Ensure
each door is bonded to the enclosure frame.

- Side Panels: Two lockable panels on each side of the enclosure frame. All

panels are bonded to the rack frame.

- Top Options: Enclosure tops are in multiple sections to allow for different

configurations. Each section must be bonded to the rack frame.

- Casters: Casters are provided to maneuver the enclosure (which may be
partially loaded, see specifications) to the desired location. Once located, rack
levelers MUST be used to stabilize the rack. Adjust the leveling feet to level

and stabilize the cabinet before fully loading equipment in the enclosure.

GROUNDING AND BONDING

IMPORTANT NOTE: Installation of protective earthing conductors must be made in
accordance with the National Electric Code, ANSI/NFPA 70.

1. Locate the protective earth terminals on the bottom of the frame (either front or
rear) of the enclosure. These terminals are marked with the protective earth

symbol -

2. Secure protective earth conductors per Article 250 of the National Electric Code.

3. Enclosure accessory parts, which may be bonded to the frame, contain or will be
provided with bonding points and appropriate bonding conductors/terminals.

4. When removing any bonded accessory for servicing the enclosure, make sure to
disconnect the bonding terminal from the accessory. NOTE: The bonding
terminal MUST be reconnected to the accessory when the part is replaced after
servicing.

CAUTION: The following parts are not effectively bonded to the protective

earth terminal: Rackrails, lace bars, Lever Lock™, shelving, baffles, blank panels,
and cable management equipment. If any part needs to be bonded to the
protective earth terminal it shall be done in accordance with Article

250 of the

National Electrical Code.
