Press to turn the unit on, or to turn the screen on
or off.
Press and hold to access the Power Off menu.

Turning the Tablet on or off

2. Touch ok the screen to turn off the tablet.

When the tablet is on , you can turn off the
scre en to conserv e battery pow er. Simply press
the Po wer key once to t urn the screen
off. Press the Power key again to turn the
scre en back on.

To turn th e tablet on:
Press and hold the Po wer key until the LCD
scre en turns on. Wait until the Home screen
appears; the tabl et is now ready f or use.

To turn th e tablet off:

1.Pr ess and hold th e Power key unt il the
Device Options me nu appears.

To conserve battery p ower, the scre en
can be set to turn off automatically whe n
the ta blet is not in us e (between
15 seconds and 30 min utes).
This Screen timeo ut option can b e found
in the Display menu .

About Applications

To open an applicatio n, touch the ap plication
icon on the home scre en or in the Laun cher
where you can tap the i con right up on t he
home screen to get in ..

available on the tablet.

When the screen tur ns off, you will have t o
unlock the screen
when you turn it back o n.
To unlock the screen, d rag the lock ic on across
the sc reen toward s the lock icon .

Installing Applications

You can also down load an install additional
applications fr om the device ’s app lications
marketplace, th e web browser, o r other
sources.

The ta blet must be se t to allow installation of
applications fr om non-Mark et sources. The
Unknown sources o ption can be se t in the
Application set tings menu.

Connect to a Wi-Fi network

The Notificatio n bar display s icons that indicate
your tablet’s Wi-Fi status.

Notification th at an open Wi-Fi network is
in range.

Connected to a Wi-F i network (wa ves
indicate connec tion streng th).

When Wi-Fi is on, the t ablet will look for and
display a list of ava ilable Wi-F i networks.

[no icon] There are no Wi-Fi networks in
range, or the Wi-Fi r adio is off.

1. Turn on the Wi-Fi radio if it is no t already
on. To turn on Wi-Fi:

a.Go t o the Home scre en: Press the Home
key.
b.Op en the Settin gs menu: tap the icon right
up on the home screen t o get into the
launcher, then tou ch Settings i con.
c.Op en the Wirele ss & networks menu: Slide
the icon to ON status .

If a net work that you h ave connected to
previously is fou nd, the table t will
connect to it.If yo u don’t see your
network in the list , you can force the
tablet to re-scan . To scan for networks,
tap th e Menu key, and then touch Scan.

Connect to a Wi-Fi network

To learn about how to add a Wi-Fi network
when it is not in range or when the router
is set to obscure the network name (SSID);
or to configure advanced Wi-Fi options,
please refer to the manual.

When you have successfully connected to a
Wi-Fi network, the Notifications bar at the the low
of the screen will show a Wi-Fi signal indicator.

2. Select an available Wi-Fi network to connect
to:

In the same Wi-Fi settings menu above,touch a
network in the list.

If the network is open,the tablet will prompt you to
confirm connection to the network. Touch Connect
to confirm.

If the network is secured (as indicated by a Lock
icon),the tablet will prompt you to enter a
password or other credentials.Touch the Wireless
password box to show the on-screen keyboard
and then use it to enter the password. Touch
Connect to confirm.

Connecting to a Computer

3.Mount the storage.

Touch button Turn on USB storage to mount the
tablet’s built-in storage. When it is mounted, you
can copy files to or from your tablet.

Connect the tablet to a computer to transfer files.

1.Connect your tablet to the computer.

With the included USB cable: Plug the small end
of the cable into the USB 2.0 high speed
connector of the tablet. Plug the large end of the
cable into an available USB 2.0 high speed port
on the computer.

2.When your tablet is connected,slide up the
USB icon right down on the screen and then
touch icon USB connected.
