Safety Precautions
This monitor is manufactured and tested on the ground principle that a user’s safety comes first. However, improper use or installation may not only damage the monitor but endanger the user as well. As a safety precaution, go over the following WARN­INGS carefully before installation, and keep this guide handy.

the label at the rear end of the monitor. If you are unsure of the power supply in your residence, consult your local dealer or power company.
l Do not try to repair the monitor yourself as it contains no user-serviceable parts.

Getting Start

Unpacking and Checking the Package Contents
Before unpacking your LCD Monitor, prepare a suitable workspace for your LCD Moni­tor and computer. You need a stable, level and clean surface near a wall outlet. After unpacking your LCD Monitor, make sure that the accessories shown in the packing list are included in the package. If anything is missing or damaged, please contact your dealer or nearest regional office.

Connect with PC Video card Plug into the AC power adapter. Connect with your audio device. Connect with speakers built-in monitor base. Exit the OSD(On Screen Display). Press to bring up the On Screen Display and select main menu items. Press to bring up the On Screen Display and select sub menu items. Adjust setting bars of Contrast, Brightness, etc. to decrease setting values. a) Adjusts settings bars as Contrast, brightness, etc. to increase setting values. b) Starts Auto Adjustment in AUTO SETUP screen. Connecting Your Monitor to the PC
Connecting AC Power
Please refer to the following instructions for connecting AC power to the LCD Monitor.
l Remove the back cover from your monitor (pull from the bottom of cover
outward to open it).
l Plug the female end of the 1.8m power cord into the AC adapter then plug the
DC connector of the adapter to your monitor’s DC jack (the DC jack is lo­cated at the rear side of your monitor)
l Connect the male end of the power cord into a wall socket.
NOTE
For added protection, you are recommended to use a Surge Protection device plugged between the AC adapter and the electrical wall outlet to prevent the effects of sudden current variations from reaching the LCD monitor. The sudden peaks of electricity may damage the monitor.

Connecting Video
l Turn off your PC and the LCD Monitor before connecting your LCD monitor
to the PC.
l Use the built-in 1.8M-signal cables to connect your LCD Monitor with PC. l Connect the other end of the signal cable to the PC’s VGA port. l Make sure the signal cable head is securely connected to the PC’s VGA port.
Then tighten the connecting screws to ensure a secure connection.
l Turn on your computer. l Turn on your LCD Monitor.
Adjusting the Viewing Angle
Your LCD Monitor was designed to allow you to adjust it to an optimal viewing angle. You can adjust the monitor upward to 20 degrees and downward to –5 degrees.
This monitor was also designed to adjust 120 degree horizontally via swievel function.

Operating the Monitor
The LCD monitor has been preset at the factory with the Timing to create the optimal picture. You are also able to adjust the picture as you like by following operation. Before you operate your monitor, please take a look at the definition of each function key.
How to Use the OSD (On Screen Display) OSD functions enable you to easily adjust the display to reach the quality you like. The OSD menus include the main menu and sub-menus.

Adjusting screen display
There are two ways to adjust the monitor’s screen, i.e. auto adjustment and manual adjustment.
Auto adjustment
a) Power ON the LCD monitor and computer. b) Select the “AUTO SETUP” of OSD screens. c) Press “+” button while displaying “AUTO SETUP” screen. d) The auto adjustment is started. “AUTO SETUP” will be displayed during auto
adjustment. It takes about 10 seconds to finish adjustment.
Manual adjustment
a) Power ON the LCD monitor and computer. b) Adjust according to the above-mentioned “Operating Procedure” and “Menu Table” to adjust the screen to a favorable screen display.
OSD Adjustment Lock
a)Press the “„” and “-“ buttons at the same time and the “CONTROL LOCK” screen is displayed.
b) Press “+” button, and the “CONTROL LOCK’ status displays while the OSD screen disappears. If OSD screen displays again, the “LOCKED” will be displayed in the upper-right corner of the screen.
c) To release the “CONTROL LOCK’ status, press the “„” and “-“ buttons at the same time and display the “CONTROL LOCK” screen. Then, press the “-” button to release the “CONTROL LOCK’ status. It will become “CONTROL LOCK’ status while the OSD screen disappears. If the OSD screen displays again, the “LOCKED” in the upper-right corner of screen will disappear.

Power Management
The LCD Monitor complies with the VESA DPMS (version 1.0p) power management proposal. The VESA DPMS proposal provides four phases of power-saving modes by detecting the horizontal or vertical sync signal.

Troubleshooting Procedures
If the LCD monitor fails to function correctly, please follow the following steps for possible troubleshooting.
1. Perform the adjustments according to Operating the Monitor..
2. Refer to the following items if you cannot find a proper item listed in the Operating the Monitor or if the problem remains.
3. If the problem you have experienced is not described below or you cannot correct the problem, stop using the monitor and contact your dealer or nearest service center for further assistance.
CHECK IF
The power cord is firmly plugged in the socket. The power switch is turned on. The AC socket is OK. Please check another piece of equipment. If the blank screen saver is active, touch the keyboard or mouse. Increase the CONTRAST and/or BRIGHTNESS. The computer is ON. The signal cable is properly connected. The signal timing of the computer is within the spec. of the monitor. If the monitor is in power management mode, touch the keyboard or the mouse. The computer is ON. The signal cable is properly connected. The signal timing of the computer is within the spec. The video output level of the computer is within the spec.

4. While the “ATTENTION” message is displayed on the screen: It can be classified into two categories, i.e, Power Management is set to OFF and Power Management is set to ON.
