次のガイドラインをお読みください。ここに記載されて
いる注意事項をお守りいただくことで、危険な状態が生
じる可能性や違法行為を未然に防ぐことができます。ま

安全を確認して電源をお入れください
安全上のご注意
携帯電話の使用が禁止されている場合や、電波干渉、ま
たは危険な状態を引き起こす可能性がある場合は、電話
機の電源を入れないでください。
交通安全を最優先に
ご使用になる地域のすべての法令に従ってください。運
転中は携帯電話を手に持たないでください。運転中は安
全第一を心がけてください。
電波干渉
携帯電話は電波干渉に敏感で、電波干渉を受けると動作
に影響が及ぶ場合があります。
制限区域では電源をお切りください
規則に従い、航空機内や、医療機器、燃料、化学薬品ま
たは爆破現場の近くでは機器の電源をお切りください。
正規サービス
資格のあるサービススタッフ以外は、装置の取り付けや
修理を行わないでください。
アクセサリと電池
指定のアクセサリや電池を使用してください。また、本機に
対応していない機器を接続しないでください。
水をかけないでください
本機は防水仕様ではありません。水気のあるところで使
用しないでください。

本機について
本機は GSM850/900/1800/1900、WCDMA800/850 お
よび WCDMA2100 ネットワーク (FOMA ネットワーク ) 上での
利用が認められています。これらのネットワークについての詳細
は、ご契約されている携帯電話事業者にご確認ください。
本機を、すべての法律に従って正しくご使用ください。また、
他人のプライバシーや正当な権利を尊重し、適切なご使用を
心がけてください。
著作権の保護のため、一部の画像や音楽、およびその他のコ
ンテンツのコピー、変更、委譲はできないことがあります。
本機は、複数の接続方法をサポートしています。コンピュー
タ同様、本機は、ウィルスおよびその他の有害コンテンツに
さらされる場合があります。メッセージ、接続要求、ブラウ
ジング、およびダウンロードの処理に関しては注意が必要で
す。これらの行為は、信頼できる提供元からのサービスの場
合のみ実行してください。
警告 :
アラーム以外の本機のあらゆる機能を使うためには、電

ネットワークサービス
本機を利用するにあたって、携帯電話事業者のサービスが必
要となります。本機の機能のほとんどがネットワーク側の機
能に依存しています。これらのネットワークサービスは、す
べてのネットワークで利用できるとは限りません。また、
ネットワークサービスをご利用になる前に、ご契約されてい
る携帯電話事業者のサービスに加入するなどの手続きが必要
になる場合があります。
ご契約されている携帯電話事業者から、サービスをご利用する
際の追加の指示や、課金についての説明が必要になる場合があ
ります。一部のネットワークでは、ネットワークサービスの利
用に制限がある場合があります。ネットワークによっては、各
言語特有の文字やサービスをすべてサポートできない場合が
あります。
ご契約されている携帯電話事業者が、本機の一部の機能を停
止、または無効にしている場合があります。その場合は、それ
らの機能は本機のメニューに表示されません。また本機は、メ
ニュー名、メニューの順序、およびアイコンの変更など、特別
な設定が行われている可能性があります。詳細につきまして
は、ご契約されている携帯電話事業者にお問い合わせくださ
い。
本機は、TCP/IP プロトコルを基盤とした WAP2.0 プロト
コル (HTTP と SSL) に対応しています。本機のブラウザを
経由したコンテンツダウンロードなどの機能には、このよう
な技術に対応したネットワークが必要になります。
アクセサリ
警告 : 本機を使用する際には、Nokia が認定した電池、充
電器およびアクセサリのみを使用してください。これ以外
の機器を使用すると、本機に対する認定あるいは保証の対
象外となるだけでなく、事故などが起こる場合があります。
認定アクセサリの在庫状況については、製品のお買い上げ店
までお問い合わせください。アクセサリの電源コードを外す
際には、コードではなくプラグを持って抜いてください。
ソフトウェアの更新
Nokia では、改善されたパフォーマンスを提供できるソフト
ウェア更新ファイルをリリースする場合があります。
ご使用のネットワークで無線でのソフトウェア更新が可能な
場合、本機から更新ファイルを要求できる場合もあります。
ソフトウェア更新ファイルのダウンロードでは、携帯電話事
業者のネットワークを通じて大量のデータが伝送される場合
があります。データの伝送料金に関する詳細は、ご契約され
ている携帯電話事業者にご確認ください。
更新を開始する前に、本機の電池が十分に充電されているこ
とを確認するか、充電器に接続してください。
警告 : ソフトウェアの更新をインストールする場合、インス
トールが完了し、再起動するまでは、本機を使用できませ
ん ( 緊急通報もできません )。更新のインストールを行う前
に、必ずデータをバックアップしてください。
安全上のご注意

FM ラジオ
FM ラジオは、無線機器のアンテナ以外のアンテナに依存し
ます。FM ラジオが正しく機能するには、互換性のあるヘッ
ドセットまたはアクセサリを取り付ける必要があります。
警告 : 音楽を聴く際には、適度な音量を守ってください。
大音量で音楽を聴き続けると、聴覚に障害をきたす可能性
があります。ラウドスピーカーを使用する際には、本機を
耳に近づけないでください。

Bluetooth
本機は、BluetoothSpecification2.0 に準拠しており、次
の Bluetooth プロファイルをサポートしています：
BluetoothAudioStreaming,Audio/VideoRemote
ControlProfile,Dial-upNetworkingProfile,File
TransferProfile,GenericAccessProfile,General
Audio/VideoDistributionProfile,GeneralObject
ExchangeProfile,HandsfreeProfile,HeadsetProfile,
ObjectPushProfile,SerialPortProfile。Bluetooth 技術
をサポートする他の機器間の相互運用性を保証するため、
Nokia が認定したこのモデル用のアクセサリを使用してくだ
さい。このモデルとの互換性については、Bluetooth 機器の
各メーカーにご確認ください。
Bluetooth 技術を使用する機能では、電池の消費量が増え、電池
の消耗が早くなります。
重要メッセージ：
• 悪質なソフトウェアからの被害を避けるには、非公開モー
ドで電話を操作したほうが安全です。
•
信頼できないソースからのBluetooth接続は受け入れないで
ください。
•
または、Bluetooth 機能をオフにしてください。これによ
り、電話のその他の機能が影響を受けることはありません。
電池と充電器について
Li-ion
本機は、充電可能な電池を電源としています。本機で使用できる
電池はNM02 です。本機で使用できる充電器はAC-3、AC-4、
AC-5、DC-4、および CA-44 です。電池は数百回充電と放電を
繰り返すことができますが、次第に消耗します。使用時間 ( 通話
時間と待受時間 ) が通常より極端に短くなった場合は、電池を取
り替えてください。Nokia 認定の電池以外は使用しないでくださ
い。また、Nokia 認定の充電器以外を用いて電池の充電をしない
でください。認定されていない電池または充電器を使用すると、
発火、爆発、液もれなどの危険が生じる可能性があります。
電池を初めて使用する場合、または電池が長期間使用されていな
かった場合は、充電を開始するのに、充電器を取り付けた後、
いったん取り外してから再度取り付けなければならない場合があ
ります。電池が完全に放電されている場合は、充電中を示すイン
ジケータが画面に表示されるまで、または通話ができるようにな
るまで、数分かかる場合があります。
電池を取り外す際には、必ず本機の電源を切り、充電器を外した
状態で行ってください。
充電器を使用していないときは、電気プラグからプラグを抜き、
本機からも取り外してください。過充電は、電池の寿命を短くす
る場合がありますので、充電が完了した電池を充電器に接続した
まま放置しないでください。完全に充電された電池は使用しなく
ても徐々に放電します。
電池は常に 15 ℃〜 25 ℃ (59°F 〜 77°F) の温度範囲で保管
するようにしてください。この範囲を超えた温度環境では、電池
の性能が低下し、電池の消耗が早くなります。高温または低温状
態の電池を使用すると、本機が一時的に機能しなくなる場合があ
ります。0 ℃以下では、電池の性能が著しく制限されます。
電池をショートさせないでください。金属物 ( コイン、クリップ、
またはペン ) が電池の金属部分のプラス端子およびマイナス端子 (
電池の金属部分 ) に直接接続した場合、偶発的に電池がショート
することがあります。このような事故は、ポケットまたは財布に
予備のバッテリーを携帯している場合などに起こる可能性があり
ます。端子をショートさせると、電池または接続物が損傷するこ
とがあります。
爆発する可能性があるため、火の中へは絶対に電池を投げ込まな
いでください。電池が損傷した場合も、爆発の恐れがあります。
電池は、国内の規定に従って廃棄してください。可能な場合はリ
サイクルしてください。家庭の一般廃棄物として処分しないでく
ださい。
携帯電話や電池を、分解、切断、開口、圧壊、屈曲、変形、穿
刺、または粉砕しないでください。電池の液体が漏れた場合、そ
の液体が肌や目に触れないようにしてください。電池の液が肌ま
たは目に触れた場合、直ちに水で洗い流すか、医師の診察を受け
てください。
電池の改造や再製造はしないでください。また、電池内部に異物
を挿入したり、水などの液体に漬けないようにしてください。
電池を不適切に使用すると、発火、爆発などの危険が生じる可能
性があります。本機または電池を硬い地面などに落とし、電池が
損傷したと思われる場合、使用を続ける前にサービスセンターで
検査を依頼してください。
本来の目的以外にこの電池を使用しないで
ください。損傷した充電器または電池は絶
対に使用しないでください。電池は小さな
お子様の手の届かない場所に保管してくだ
さい。
重要：
電池の通信待機可能時間はあくまでも推定値であり、信
号強度、ネットワークの状態、使用する機能、電池の寿命と状
態、電池がさらされている温度、デジタルモードでの使用、お
よびその他の多くの要因によって変化します。本機を通話で使
用する合計時間が、スタンバイ時間に影響します。同様に、本
機の電源が入った状態で、待受画面になっている合計時間が、
本機で通話できる時間に影響します。

電池と充電器について

お手入れとメンテナンス
本機の製造には、優れたデザインと技術が採用されていま
す。お取り扱いには十分ご注意ください。保証の対象範囲を
お守りいただけるよう、次の記載事項をお読みください。
･ 湿気のある場所に置かないでください。雨水、湿気、および液体
はミネラルを含み、電気回路を腐食させます。本機が濡れた場合、
電池を取り外し、本機を完全に乾かしてから取り付けてください。
･ ほこりが多く、清潔でない場所で使用または保管しないでくださ
い。電話機の可動部と電子部品が損傷することがあります。
･ 高温の場所で保管しないでください。高温状態では、電子機器の
寿命を短くするだけでなく、電池が損傷したり、特定のプラス
チック部品が変形したり、溶けたりする原因となります。
･ 低温の場所で保管しないでください。電話機を通常の温度まで暖め
ると、本体の内部に結露が発生し、電気回路基板に損傷をきたすこ

とがあります。
･ 本書で指示された以外の方法で本機を分解しないでください。
･ 本機を落としたり、たたいたり、振ったりしないでください。手
荒に取り扱うと、内部の回路基板と精密機械部分に損傷をきたす
ことがあります。
･ 本機のお手入れをする場合、刺激の強い化学薬品、洗浄液、また
は強力洗剤を使用しないでください。
･ 本機を塗装しないでください。塗装すると装置の可動部を詰まら
せ、適切に動作しなくなることがあります。
･ レンズ ( カメラレンズ、近接センサー、ライトセンサーレンズ等 )
のお手入れには、柔らかくて清潔な、乾いた布をお使いください。
･ 付属の、または Nokia が認定した交換アンテナのみを使用してく
ださい。無許可のアンテナの使用、改造、付属品の取り付けは、
電話機の損傷の原因となり、無線装置についての法規制に違反す
る場合があります
･ 充電器は屋内で使用してください。
･ 電話帳やカレンダーノートなどの保存しておきたいデータは必ず
バックアップを取ってください。
･ 最適な動作状態を保つために本機をリセットする場合は、本機の電
源を切ってから電池を取り外してください。
これらの注意事項は、電話機の本体、電池、充電器、または
その他のアクセサリすべてに適用されます。正常に動作しな
い機器がある場合は、最寄りの有資格サービス施設にサービ
スを依頼してください。
製品、資料、またはパッケージ上に記載されている、
交差した線が引いてある車輪付きのごみ箱マークは、
すべての電気および電子機器、電池、蓄電池を、寿命
が尽きたときに分別回収すべきことを示しています。
この義務は、欧州連合および分別回収システムが導入
されているその他の地域で適用されます。これらの製
品を自治体の無分別廃棄物として廃棄しないでください。製
品を回収することによって、廃棄物投棄を抑制し、原料資源
の再利用を促進することができます。詳細については、製品
の販売店、お住まいの地域の廃棄物管理局、国の生産者責任
組織、または最寄りの Nokia 販売代理店までお問い合わせく
ださい。製品のエコ宣言、または使用しなくなった製品の返

安全についての追加情報
小さなお子様
本機やアクセサリには、小さな部品が使用されています。小さな
お子様の手の届くところに置かないでください。
操作環境
本機は、人体から最低 2.2cm離した位置で使用された場合
と、通常の耳元での操作位置で使用された場合に電波防護指
針のガイドラインに適合します。本機をキャリーケース、ベ
ルトクリップ、またはホルダーとともに身に付ける場合は、
金属製物質と一緒に身に付けず、本機が身体から最低
2.2cm離れたところに位置するようにしてください。本機
でデータファイルやメッセージを送信する場合、高品質の
ネットワーク接続が必要です。場合によっては、高品質の
ネットワーク接続が利用可能になるまで、データファイルや
メッセージの送信が遅れることがあります。送信が完了する
まで、本機が身体から2.2cm離れていることを確認してく
ださい。
本機は磁気部品を使用しており、金属物が本機に引き寄せら
れる場合があります。本機の近くにクレジットカードや、そ
の他の磁気記憶媒体を置かないでください。記憶された情報
が消去されてしまうことがあります。
医療機器
携帯電話を含む無線送信機の動作は、十分に保護されていな
い医療機器の機能を妨害する可能性があります。医療機器が
外部の電波から十分に遮蔽されているかを判断する際、また
はご不明な点がありましたら、医師または医療機器メーカー
にご相談ください。医療施設などで本機の電源を切るよう規
則が掲示してある場合は、その指示に従ってください。病院
または医療施設では、外部の電波に対して感度の高い電気医
療機器を使用している場合があります。
埋め込み医療機器
医療機器製造業者は、医療機器との干渉を回避するため、携
帯電話をペースメーカーや除細動器などの埋め込み医療機器
から 15.3cm 以上離すことを勧めています。このような医
療機器を使用している方は、以下の点を心がける必要があり
ます。
･ 本機の電源が入っている場合、その携帯電話を医療機器から常に
15.3cm 以上離してください。
･ 本機を胸ポケットに入れて持ち運ばないでください。
･ 医療機器との干渉を最小限にするため、医療機器を装着している
側の反対の耳で本機をご使用ください。
･ 医療機器との干渉が疑われる場合は、直ちに本機の電源を切って
ください。
･ 埋め込み医療機器製造業者が提示する指示を読み、その指示に
従ってください。
埋め込み医療機器とともに本機を使用することに関して不明
な点がある場合、医療機関にお問い合わせください。
補聴器
デジタル無線機が一部の補聴器の動作を干渉する場合があり
ます。万が一、そのような干渉があった場合は、ご契約され
ている携帯電話事業者までご相談ください。
警告 : 補聴器との互換性を維持するには、
Bluetooth 接続をオフにする必要があります。

乗り物
電波は、適切に取り付けられていない、または十分に遮蔽さ
れていない自動車の電子装置( 電子燃料噴射システム、電子
アンチロックブレーキ装置、電子速度制御装置、およびエア
バック装置など )に影響を与える場合があります。詳しい情
報につきましては、自動車および追加装備した装置のメー
カー、または代理店にご確認ください。
資格を有するスタッフ以外は、本機の修理、または自動車へ
の本機の取り付けをしないでください。誤った取り付けや修
理は危険を伴うことがあるだけでなく、本機に適用されるす
べての保証が無効になる場合があります。車内の無線機が適
切に取り付けられ、正常に動作していることを定期的に確認
してください。可燃性の液体、ガス、または爆発性物質を、
本機、その部品、またはアクセサリと一緒に車内で保管した
り、持ち運ばないでください。エアバックを装備した自動車
安全についての追加情報
では、エアバックが強い力で膨らみます。エアバックの上の
部分、またはエアバックが膨らむ範囲に、固定無線機と移動
無線機の両方を含めて、物を置かないでください。車内の無
線機が適切に取り付けられていない場合、エアバックが膨ら
んだときに重傷を負うことがあります。
飛行中に本機を使用することは禁止されています。航空機に
搭乗する前に本機の電源を切ってください。航空機内で携帯
電話を使用すると、航空機の操作に危険をもたらし、無線通
信が混信する原因にもなります。また機内での携帯電話の使
用は違法となる場合もあります。
爆発の起きる可能性のある環境
爆発の起きる可能性のある環境では、本機の電源を切り、す
べての標識や指示に従ってください。爆発の起きる可能性の
ある環境とは、通常自動車のエンジンを停止するよう指示さ
れている場所を含みます。そのような環境での火花は、怪我
または死亡に至る爆発または火災を引き起こす可能性があり
ます。ガソリンスタンドのガソリンポンプの近くといった給
油地点では、本機の電源を切ってください。給油箇所、燃料
貯蔵、燃料販売所、化学工場、または爆破作業がおこなわれ
ている場所では無線機の使用に関する規則に従ってください。
爆発の起きる可能性のある環境は、たいていの場合は明確に
表示されていますが、常にそうであるとは限りません。その
ような場所の例としては、船のデッキの下、化学物質の搬送
または保管施設、大気中に結晶粒、ほこり、または金属粉末
といった化学物質または微粒子が含まれる場所があります。
液化石油ガス（プロパンまたはブタン等）を使用する自動車
の近くでの本機使用の安全性については自動車製造メーカー
にお問い合わせください。

緊急通報
重要 :本機は無線信号、無線ネットワーク、有線ネットワーク
およびお客様によってプログラムされた機能を使用しているため、すべ
ての条件において接続を保証するものではありません。したがって、救
急車を呼ぶ場合などの非常に重要な連絡には、無線機だけに頼らないよ
うにしてください。
緊急電話番号に電話をかけるには
1 本機の電源が入っていない場合は、電源を入れます。電波
が十分に届いていることを確認してください。機種に応じ
て、以下の操作が必要になることがあります。
･
FOMA カードを挿入する(FOMAカードを使用する機種の場合 )
･ 特定の通話制限を設定している場合は解除する
･ オフラインまたはフライトモードになっている場合はアクティ
ブモードに切り替える
2 必要な回数だけ終了キー ( ) を押して画面をクリア
し、電話がかけられる状態にします。
3 現在いる地域の緊急電話番号を入力します。地域によっ
て緊急電話番号は異なります。
4 開始キー ( ) を押して電話をかけます。

Network Services
To use the phone you must have service from a wireless
service provider. Many of the features require special network
features. These features are not available on all networks;
other networks may require that you make specific
arrangements with your service provider before you can use
the network services. Your service provider can give you
instructions and explain what charges will apply. Some
networks may have limitations that affect how you can use
network services. For instance, some networks may not
support all language-dependent characters and services.
Your service provider may have requested that certain

browsing and content downloading via browser, require

Features using Bluetooth technology increase the demand on
battery power and reduce the battery life.

• Operating the device in hidden mode is a safer way to
avoid malicious software.

Battery and charger information
Li-ion
Your device is powered by a rechargeable battery. The battery intended for
use with this device is NM02. This device is intended for use when supplied
with power from the following chargers: AC-3, AC-4, AC-5, and DC-4
charger or CA-44 charger adapter. The battery can be charged and discharged hundreds of times, but it will eventually wear out. When the talk
and standby times are noticeably shorter than normal, replace the battery.
Use only Nokia approved batteries, and recharge your battery only with
Nokia approved chargers designated for this device. Use of an unapproved
battery or charger may present a risk of fire, explosition, leakage, or other
hazard.
If a battery is being used for the first time or if the battery has not been
used for a prolonged period, it may be necessary to connect the charger,
then disconnect and reconnect it to begin charging the battery. If the battery is completely discharged, it may take several minutes before the
charging indicator appears on the display or before any calls can be made.
Always switch the device off and disconnect the charger before removing
the battery.
Battery and charger information
Unplug the charger from the electrical plug and the device when not in
use. Do not leave a fully charged battery connected to a charger, since
overcharging may shorten its lifetime. If left unused, a fully charged battery will lose its charge over time.
Always try to keep the battery between 15°C and 25°C (59°F and 77°F).
Extreme temperatures reduce the capacity and lifetime of the battery. A
device with a hot or cold battery may not work temporarily. Battery
performance is particularly limited in temperatures well below freezing.
Do not short-circuit the battery. Accidental short-circuiting can occur
when a metallic object such as a coin, clip, or pen causes direct connection
of the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals of the battery . (These look like
metal strips on the battery.) This might happen, for example, when you

carry a spare battery in your pocket or purse. Short-circuiting the terminals
may damage the battery or the connecting object.
Do not dispose of batteries in a fire as they may explode. Batteries may also
explode if damaged. Dispose of batteries according to local regulations.
Please recycle when possible. Do not dispose as household waste.
Do not dismantle, cut, open, crush, bend, deform, puncture, or shred cells
or batteries. In the event of a battery leak, do not allow the liquid to come
in contact with the skin or eyes. In the event of such a leak, flush your skin
or eyes immediately with water, or seek medical help.
Do not modify, remanufacture, attempt to insert foreign objects into the
battery, or immerse or expose it to water or other liquids.
Improper battery use may result in a fire, explosion, or other hazard. If the
device or battery is dropped, especially on a hard surface, and you believe
the battery has been damaged, take it to a service centre for inspection before continuing to use it.
Use the battery only for its intended purpose. Never use any
charger or battery that is damaged. Keep your battery out
of the reach of small children.
Important: Battery talk and standby times are estimates only and
depend on signal strength, network conditions, features used, battery
age and condition, temperatures to which battery is exposed, use in
digital mode, and many other factors. The amount of time a device is
used for calls will affect its standby time. Likewise, the amount of time
that the device is turned on and in the standby mode will affect its talk
time.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Your device is a product of superior design and craftsmanship
and should be treated with care. The following suggestions
will help you protect your warranty coverage.
• Keep the device dry. Precipitation, humidity and all types of liquids
or moisture can contain minerals that will corrode electronic
circuits. If your device does get wet, remove the battery and allow
the device to dry completely before replacing it.
• Do not use or store the device in dusty, dirty areas. Its moving parts
and electronic components can be damaged.
• Do not store the device in hot areas. High temperatures can shorten
the life of electronic devices, damage batteries, and warp or melt
certain plastics.
• Do not store the device in cold areas. When the device returns to
its normal temperature, moisture can form inside the device and
damage electronic circuit boards.
• Do not attempt to open the device other than as instructed in this
guide.
• Do not drop, knock, or shake the device. Rough handling can break
internal circuit boards and fine mechanics.
• Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents
to clean the device.
• Do not paint the device. Paint can clog the moving parts and
prevent proper operation.
• Use a soft, clean, dry cloth to clean any lenses, such as camera,
proximity sensor, and light sensor lenses.
• Use only the supplied or an approved replacement antenna.
Unauthorised antennas, modifications, or attachments could
damage the device and may violate regulations governing radio
devices.
• Use chargers indoors.
• Always create a backup of data you want to keep, such as contacts
and calendar notes.
• To reset the device from time to time for optimum performance,
power off the device and remove the battery.
These suggestions apply equally to your device, battery, charger, or
any enhancement. If any device is not working properly, take it to the
nearest authorized service facility for service.
Disposal

Small children
Your device and its enhancements may contain small parts.
Keep them out of the reach of small children.
Operating environment
This device meets RF exposure guidelines when used either in
the normal use position against the ear or when positioned at
least 2.2 centimeters (7/8 inch) away from the body. When a
carry case, belt clip, or holder is used for body-worn
operation, it should not contain metal and should position the
device the above-stated distance from your body. To
transmit data files or messages, this device requires a quality
connection to the network. In some cases, transmission of
data files or messages may be delayed until such a connection
is available. Ensure the above separation distance instructions

are followed until the transmission is completed. Parts of the
device are magnetic. Metallic materials may be attracted to
the device. Do not place credit cards or other magnetic
storage media near the device, because information stored on
them may be erased.
Medical devices
Operation of any radio transmitting equipment, including
wireless phones, may interfere with the functionality of
inadequately protected medical devices. Consult a physician

or the manufacturer of the medical device to determine if they
are adequately shielded from external RF energy or if you have
any questions. Switch off your device in health care facilities
when any regulations posted in these areas instruct you to do

Implanted Medical Devices
Manufacturers of medical devices recommend that a
minimum separation of 15.3 centimeters (6 inches) should be
maintained between a wireless device and an implanted
medical device, such as a pacemaker or implanted cardioverter
defibrillator, to avoid potential interference with the medical
device. Persons who have such devices should:
• Always keep the wireless device more than 15.3 centimeters (6 inches) from the medical device when the wireless
device is turned on.
• Not carry the wireless device in a breast pocket.
• Hold the wireless device to the ear opposite the medical
device to minimize the potential for interference.
• Turn the wireless device off immediately if there is any reason to suspect that interference is taking place.
• Read and follow the directions from the manufacturer of
their implanted medical device.
If you have any questions about using your wireless device
with an implanted medical device, consult your health care
provider.
Hearing aids
Some digital wireless devices may interfere with some hearing
aids. If interference occurs, consult your service provider.
Warning:
For hearing aid compatibility, you must turn
off the Bluetooth connectivity.

explosive atmosphere, and obey all signs and instructions.
Potentially explosive atmospheres include areas where you
would normally be advised to turn off your vehicle engine.
Sparks in such areas could cause an explosion or fire resulting

refuelling points such as near gas pumps at service stations.
Observe restrictions on the use of radio equipment in fuel
depots, storage, and distribution areas; chemical plants; or

liquefied petroleum gas (such as propane or butane) to

Emergency calls
Important: This device operates using radio signals, wireless
networks, landline networks, and user-programmed functions. The
device will attempt to make emergency calls over the cellular
networks. Connections in all conditions cannot be guaranteed. You
should never rely solely on any wireless device for essential
communications like medical emergencies.
To make an emergency call:
1 If the device is not on, switch it on. Check for adequate
signal strength. Depending on your device, you may also
need to complete the following:
･ Insert a valid FOMA card if your device uses one.
･ Remove certain call restrictions you have activated in your de-
vice.
･ Change your profile from offline or flight profile mode to an ac-
tive profile.
2 Press key as many times as needed to clear the

3 Enter the official emergency number for your present
location. Emergency numbers vary by location.
4 Press the key.
When making an emergency call, give all the necessary
information as accurately as possible. Your wireless device
may be the only means of communication at the scene of an
accident. Do not end the call until given permission to do so.
