1. General information applicable to the complete system
2. Pressure bearing fabrications and parts
Safety Information: 3098 Specific Gravity Meter
1.1. These safety instructions are to be used in conjunction with the 3098 product manual. Suitably trained
personnel shall carry out the installation both mechanical and electrical in accordance with the
applicable local and national regulations and codes of practice for each discipline.
1.2. Safe working practices for the media and process concerned are followed during the installation and
maintenance of the equipment.
1.3. If the equipment is likely to come into contact with aggressive substances, it is the responsibility of the
user to take suitable precautions that prevent it from being adversely affected, thus ensuring that the
type of protection both mechanical and electrical are not compromised.
1.4. The equipment both mechanical and electrical must not be used as a support for other equipment or
personnel.
1.5. Both mechanical and electrical content of the system, must be protected from impact.
2.1. This product is designed and manufactured to comply with modules H of the Pressure Equipment
Directive 97/23/EC. It carries a CE mark and has a Declaration of Conformity to show compliance with
the Directive.
2.2. This product is designed for use with gases within Group 1.
2.3. This product is NOT designed for use with unstable gases.
2.4. It is the responsibility of the installer/user of this equipment to ensure: -
• That the materials of construction are suitable for the application. See 3098 operating manual.
• All piping connections conform to the local and national regulations and codes of practice.
• The pressure and temperature limits for this equipment are not exceeded, if necessary by the use
of suitable safety accessories. See 3098 operating manual.
• All pressure retaining joints are leak tight and pressure tested.
• Regular inspection for corrosion and wear are carried out, both internal and external.
• The user should not repair this equipment but general maintenance can be applied as described
within the 3098 operating manual.
3. Electronic equipment
3.1. Wiring diagrams as shown within the instrument manual detail the wiring connections. Note that all
wiring must conform to the local and national regulations and codes of practice.
3.2. It is the responsibility of the installer/user of this equipment to ensure: -
• The product and associated wiring is protected from fire.
3.3. The user should not repair this equipment but general maintenance can be applied as described within
the 3098 operating manual.

1. Informations concernant le système complet
1.1. Ces consignes de sécurité doivent être appliquées en conjnction avec la notice “3098”. Du personnel
convenablement qualifié effectuera l'installation mécanique et électrique en respectant les normes
locales et nationales de chaque métier.
1.2. Du respect des consignes de sécurité et du code de travail lors de l'installation et de la maintenance en
tenant compte des conditions de service.
1.3. Si l'instrument risque d'être en contact avec des substances agressives, l'utilisateur est responsable
des précautions nécessaires pour empêcher toute détérioration ainsi s'assurant de l'intégrité de la
protection mécanique et électrique.
1.4. Ni la partie mécanique, ni la partie électrique de l'instrument, ne doivent être utilisés pour supporter un
autre équipement ou du personnel.
1.5. Les parties électroniques et mécaniques doivent être protégées des chocs.
2. Composants soumis à la pression
2.1. Ce produit est conçu et fabriqué en conformité avec le module H de la Directive des Equipements Sous
Pression 97/23/EC. L'article est marqué CE et une Déclaration de Conformité atteste son respect de la
Directive.
2.2. Ce produit est conçu pour une utilisation avec des gaz du Groupe 1.
2.3. Ce produit n'est pas conçu pour une utilisation avec des gaz instables.
2.4. L'installateur/exploitant est responsable: -
• De la compatibilité des matériaux de construction avec les conditions de service. Voir notice
“3098”
• De la conformité des raccords de tuyauterie par rapport aux normes locales et nationales
• Du respect des limites de température et de pression de l'instrument et éventuellement la mise en
place de dispositifs limiteurs. Voir notice “3098”
• Du serrage et du contrôle de l'étanchéité des joints
• Du contrôle régulier concernant l'usure et la corrosion aussi bien interne qu'externe
• L'utilisateur ne doit pas réparer cet équipement mais la maintenance générale doit être effectuée
selon la notice “3098”.
3. Equipements électroniques
3.1. Les schémas de raccordement sont indiqués dans le manuel d'instructions. Le câblage doit respecter
les normes locales et nationales.
3.2. L'installateur/exploitant est responsable: -
• De la protection de l'instrument et son câblage contre l'incendie.
3.3. L'utilisateur ne doit pas réparer cet équipement mais la maintenance générale doit être effectuée selon
la notice “3098”.

1. Allgemeine Informationen, anwendbarfür das komplette System
1.1. Diese Sicherheitshinweise sind in Verbindung mit der “3098” Bedienungsanleitung zu benutzen. Die
mechanische sowie die elektrische Installation sollte von geeignet geschultem Personal gemäß den
örtlichen und nationalen Richtlinien und Praxisvorschriften durchgeführt werden.
1.2. Während der Installation und der Wartung der Geräte sichere Arbeitsbedingungen entsprechend dem
Medium und dem Prozess herrschen.
1.3. Wenn das Gerät mit aggresiven Substanzen in Berührung kommen kann, obliegt es der Verantwortung
des Benutzers, geeignete Vorsichtsmaßnahmen zu treffen, die das Gerät vor schädlichen Einflüssen
schützt, sowohl mechanischer und auch elektrischer Schutz dürfen nicht eingeschränkt sein.
1.4. Das Gerät, weder im elektrischen und mechanischen Teil, darf nicht als unterstützendes Hilfsmittel für
andere Geräte oder Personen benutzt werden.
1.5. Die mechanischen und elektrischen Teile des Systems müssen vor Stößen geschützt werden.
2. Herstellung und Teile
2.1. Dieses Produkt ist vorgesehen und gefertigt für den Einsatz der Module H aus der Druckgeräterichtlinie
97/23/EC. Zur Verdeutlichung dass sie der Vorschrift entsprichen tragen sie ein CE-Zeichen und
besitzen eine Konformitätserklärung.
2.2. Dieses Produkt ist vorgesehen für den Gebrauch mit Gasen der Gruppe 1.
2.3. Dieses Produkt ist NICHT vorgesehen für den Gebrauch mit unstabilen Gasen.
2.4. Es liegt in der Verantwortung des Monteurs/Benutzers dafür zu sorgen, dass: -
• Die Konstruktionsmaterialien sind für die Anwendung geeignet. Siehe “3098”
Bedienungsanleitung.
• Alle Rohrleitungsverbindungen den örtlichen und nationalen Vorschriften und Arbeitsrichtlinien
entsprechen.
• Die Druck- und Temperaturgrenzen für dieses Produkt nicht überschritten werden, wenn nötig
unterEinsatz geeigneter zusätzlicher Sicherheitseinrichtungen. Siehe “3098” Bedienungsanleitung.
• Alle druckbeaufschlagten Verbindungen dichtheits- und druckgeprüft sind.
• Reguläre innere und äußere Inspektionen auf Korrosion und Verschleiß durchgeführt werden.
• Das Gerät sollte nicht vom Benutzer repariert werden, allgemeine Wartungsarbeiten dürfen jedoch
gemäß der “3098” Bedienungsanleitung durchgeführt werden.
3. Elektronische Ausrüstung
3.1. Die Schaltpläne in der Bedienungsanleitung zeigen detailliert die Leiungsanschlüsse. Beachten Sie dass
alle Verbindungen den örtlichen und nationalen Vorschriften sowie den Arbeitsrichtlinien entsprechen.
3.2. Es liegt in der Verantwortung des Monteurs/Benutzers dafür zu sorgen, dass: -
• Das Gerät sowie zugehörige Verkabelung ist vor Feuer zu schützen.
3.3. Das Gerät sollte nicht vom Benutzer repariert werden, allgemeine Wartungsarbeiten dürfen jedoch
gemäß der “3098” Bedienungsanleitung durchgeführt werden.

1. Allmän information gällande det kompletta systemet
1.1. Dessa säkerhetsanvisningar skall användas tillsammans med “3098” produktbeskrivning. Mekanisk
och elektrisk installation skall utföras av lämpligt utbildad personal i enlighet med lokala och nationella
föreskrifter och anvisningar för områdena ifråga.
1.2. Installations- och underhållsarbete av utrustningen bedrivs med iakttagande av gällande
säkerhetsföreskrifter, speciellt med tanke på förekommande medier och aktuell process.
1.3. Om det finns risk att utrustningen kommer i kontakt med aggresiva ämnen, har användaren ansvaret för
att lämpliga åtgärder vidtages för att förhindra att utrustningen skadas så att både den mekaniska och
elektriska funktionen behålles intakta.
1.4. Varken den mekaniska eller elektriska delen av utrustningen får användas som stöd för annan
utrustning eller personal.
1.5. Både den mekaniska och elektriska delen av systemet måste skyddas från stötar.
2. Tryckbärande konstruktioner och delar
2.1. Denna produkt är konstruerad och tillverkad för att överensstämma med modul H i Tryckkärlsdirektivet
97/23/EC. Den har ett CE-märke och en tillverkardeklaration medföljer, som visar att produkten
överensstämmer med direktivet.
2.2. Denna produkt är konstruerad för användning med gaser i grupp 1.
2.3. Denna produkt är INTE konstruerad för användning med instabila gaser.
2.4. Det är installatörens/användarens skyldighet att tillse att: -
• Använda konstruktionsmaterial är lämpliga för tillämpningen ifråga. Se “3098” bruksanvisning
• Alla röranslutningar följer lokala och nationella föreskrifter och anvisningar
• Gällande tryck-och temperaturgränser för utrustningen ej över- eller underskrids, om nödvändigt
genom användning av lämpliga säkerhetstillbehör. Se “3098” bruksanvisning
• Alla tryckbärande kopplingar och skarvar ej läcker och att de trycktestats
• Regelbunden inspektion av korrosion och slitage utföres, både intern och extern
• Användaren bör inte reparera utrustningen, men kan sköta allmänt underhåll enligt anvisningarna i
“3098” bruksanvisning.
3. Elektronisk utrustning
3.1. I instrumentets bruksanvisning finns inkopplingsscheman för apparaten angivna. Lägg märke till att
elanslutningen måste följa lokala och nationella föreskrifter och anvisningar.
3.2. Det är installatörens/användarens skyldighet att tillse att: -
• Produkten och tillhörande anslutningar skyddas från eld.
3.3. Användaren bör inte reparera utrustningen, men kan sköta allmänt underhåll enligt anvisningarna i
“3098” bruksanvisning.

1. Información general aplicable al sistema completo
1.1 Estas instrucciones de seguridad deben usarse conjuntamente con el manual de “3098”. Personal
adecuadamente entrenado deberá llevar a cabo la instalación ya sea mecánica ó eléctrica, de
acuerdo con cada disciplina.
1.2 Se realizan prácticas para trabajar de forma segura con el medio y el proceso de referencia
durante la instalación y el mantenimiento del equipo.
1.3 Si el equipo está en contacto con sustancias agresivas, es responsabilidad del usuario tomar las
precauciones oportunas para evitar que sean dañadas las partes mecánicas y eléctricas.
1.4 Los equipos mecánicos y eléctricos no deben usarse como soporte de otros equipos ó del
personal.
1.5 Las partes mecánicas y eléctricas del sistema deben protegerse contra impactos.
2. Comportamiento con la presión de los equipos y de los recambios
2.1 Este producto ha sido diseñado y fabricado de acuerdo con los módulos H de la Directiva de
aparatos a presión 97/23/CE. Tiene la contraseña CE y el certificado de declaración de
conformidad con la Directiva.
2.2 Este equipo ha sido diseñado para trabajar con gases del Grupo 1.
2.3 Este equipo NO ha sido diseñado para gases inestables.
2.4 Es responsabilidad del instalador/usuario asegurar: -
• Los materiales de fabricación son los adecuados para esta aplicación. Ver manual
instrucciones “3098”.
• Todas las conexiones de las tuberías deben cumplir con las normas nacionales y regulaciones
locales.
• Los límites de temperatura y presión para este equipo no se han superado y si es necesario se
emplearán los dispositivos de seguridad adecuados. Ver manual instrucciones “3098”.
• Todas las juntas de retención de presión han sido probadas contra fugas y con presión.
• Inspecciones regullares se llevan a cabo para controlar los efectos de la corrosión y el uso,
tanto internamente como externamente.
2.5 El usuario no debería reparar este equipo, pero pueden aplicarse las normas generales de
mantenimiento descritas en el manual de funccionamiento del “3098”.
3. Equipo electrónico
3.1 El esquema de conexionado es el que se detalla en el manual de instrucciones. Debe tenerse en
cuenta que todas las conexiones deben cumplir todos los requerimientos y normas nacionales y
locales.
3.2 Es responsabilidad del instalador/usuario asegurar: -
• Este equipo y el cableado adicional están protegidos contra el fuego.
3.3 El usuario no debería reparar este equipo, pero pueden aplicarse las normas generales de
mantenimiento descritas en el manual de funccionamiento del “3098”.

1.1. Deze veiligheidsaanwijzingen moeten gebruikt worden in samenhang met de “3098”
producthandleiding. De installatie, zowel mechanisch als elektrisch, moet uitgevoerd worden door
correct geschoold personeel in overeenstemming met de van toepassing zijnde plaatselijke en
nationale voorschriften en praktijken voor elke discipline.
1.2. Tijdens de installatie en het onderhoud van de uitrusting moeten de veiligheidsvoorschriften voor de
media en de processen nageleefd worden.
1.3. Indien het waarschijnlijk is dat de uitrusting in contact komt met agressieve stoffen dan is het de
verantwoordelijkheid van de gebruiker om de noodzakelijke voorzorgsmaatregelen te nemen om
schadelijke effecten te vermijden, aldus verzekerend dat het type van bescherming, zowel mechanisch
als elektrisch, niet in gevaar gebracht wordt.
1.4. De uitrusting, zowel mechanisch als elektrisch, mag niet gebruikt worden als steun voor andere
uitrustingen of personeel.
1.5. Zowel de mechanische als de elektrische inhoud van het systeem moet tegen impacten beschermd
worden.
2.1. Dit product is ontworpen en vervaardigd om te voldoen aan de modules H van de Richtlijn voor
Drukuitrustingen 97/23/EC. Zij hebben een CE teken en een Conformiteitverklaring om aan te tonen
dat de producten aan de inhoud van de Richtlijn voldoen.
2.2. Dit product is ontworpen om gebruikt te worden met gassen in de Groep 1.
2.3. Dit product is NIET ontworpen geworden om met onstabiele gassen gebruikt te worden.
2.4. Het is de verantwoordelijkheid van de installateur/gebruiker van deze uitrusting om te verzekeren dat: -
• De constructiemaatregelen zijn geschikt voor de toepassing. Zie de 308 bedieningshandleiding.
• Alle buisaansluitingen aan de plaatselijke en nationale voorschriften en praktijken voldoen.
• De druk- en temperatuurgrenzen voor deze uitrusting worden niet overschrijden, indien nodig door
gebruik te maken van passend veiligheidstoebehoor. Zie de 308 bedieningshandleiding.
• Alle drukdichtingen lekvrij en drukgetest zijn.
• Regelmatig op corrosie en slijtage controleren, zowel intern als extern.
• De gebruiker mag deze uitrusting niet herstellen. Het algemene onderhoud kan echter toegepast
worden, zoals beschreven in de “3098” bedieningshandleiding.
3. Elektronische uitrusting
3.1. Bedradingschema's zoals getoond in de handleiding van het instrument geven een gedetailleerd
overzicht van de draadaansluitingen. Gelieve er rekening mee te houden dat de volledige bedrading
overeen moet stemmen met de plaatselijke en nationale voorschriften en praktijken.
3.2. Het is de verantwoordelijkheid van de installateur/gebruiker van deze uitrusting om te verzekeren dat: -
• Het product en de bijhorende bedrading zijn tegen brand beschermd.
3.3. De gebruiker mag deze uitrusting niet herstellen. Het algemene onderhoud kan echter toegepast
worden, zoals beschreven in de “3098” bedieningshandleiding.

2 Parti e materiali di costruzione dei supporti a pressione.
2.1 Questo prodotto è stato progettato e costruito in accordo ai moduli H della Direttiva per le
Apparecchiature Sottoposte a Pressione 97/23/EC. E' provvisto di marchio CE e ha una
Dichiarazione di Conformità alla Direttiva.
2.2 Questo prodotto è stato progettato per essere usato con gas del Gruppo 1.
2.3 Questo prodotto NON è stato progettato per l'uso con gas instabili.
2.4 E' responsabilità dell'installatore/utilizzatore dell'apparechiatura assicurare che: -

3 Apparechiatura elettronica.
3.1 Eseguire le connessioni elettriche come indicato dagli schemi di collegamento contenuti nel
manuale d'istruzione dello strumento. Tutti i cablaggi dovranno essere eseguiti in conformità alla
normativa locale in vigore.
3.2 E' responsabilità dell'installatore/utilizzatore dell'apparechiatura assicurare che: -
• Il prodotto ed i suoi collegamenti elettrici sono protetti dagli incendi.
3.3 L'utilizzatore non può riparare questa apparecchiatura ma può eseguire le operazioni di
manutenzione generale come descritto nel manuale d'uso “3098”.
