3. Getting Started
3.1 Insert SIM
1. Switch off the mobile phone and remove the rear cover and
battery.
2. Insert the SIM card(s) correctly in the card slot(s) as shown below.
3. Finally, insert the battery and replace the rear cover of the mobile
phone.
3.2 Insert Memory Card
1. Switch off the phone and remove the rear cover and the battery.
2. Insert the memory card in the card slot as shown below.

The Memory Card gives you extra storage capacity for content
such as pictures, music and video clips.
Do not remove the memory card while reading or writing to the
card. Doing so may cause data corruption on the card or on the
phone.
Use only compatible memory cards approved by Micromax.
Incompatible cards may damage the slot or corrupt the data
stored in the card.
3. Insert back the battery and the rear cover of the mobile phone.
3.3 Charging the Battery
You can charge your battery via the charger or the USB cable supplied
with this phone.
1. Connect the charger to the charger jack on the phone.

Please charge the battery before you use the newly purchased
phone. We suggest you to charge the battery for at least 4 hours
continuously for the first time.
2. Connect the cha rger to a power socket or connect the USB jack
of the cable with the PC or laptop. The charging starts, with the
charging icon displayed in an animated state.
3. When the charging icon becomes static, it indicates that the
battery is full.
4. Disconnect the charger from the power socket and the phone
after charging.

4. How to use Your Phone
4.1 Switch On/OFF
Long Press the End/Power key to switch on and off your phone.
4.2 Lock/Unlock the phone
From the home screen press Left key and then immediately press *
to unlock the phone.

To lock, press Left key and then press *.
4.3 Make a Call
Dial a number and press the Call key to make a call.
You can also call a number from the phonebook or dialed or missed
call list in the same way.

4.4 Answer/Reject a call
To answer, press the call key.
To reject, press End/Power key as shown in the below figure.

4.5 Call Conference
While on a call, make another call. The first call is put on hold.
After this, press Options and then you will be given the option to
merge the two calls into a Call Conference.
Please contact your service provider in case Call Conference service
is not activated in your SIM.
4.6 Make an International Call
From the home screen, long press the * key till + displays on
screen.
Enter the desired international code and then complete the phone
number make the call.
4.7 Change the Volume
Press the Up and Down navigation key as shown be low to change the

call volume.
4.8 Send Messages
Menu> Messages
You can compose a new message or reply to existing messages in the
list. You can also send and receive multimedia messages.
4.9 Add contacts to Phonebook
Menu> Contacts> New
This feature enables you to add new contacts.
You can also save contacts through call logs, messages, dial pad.
4.10 Use Multimedia Features
Menu> Multimedia
You can use camera, Image viewer, Video recorder, Video player,
music player, Sound recorder and FM radio and so on.

4.11 FM Radio
Menu> Multimedia>FM Radio
You can listen to your favorite FM channels using the inbuilt FM
receiver of your phone.
You need to insert the Earphone to listen to the radio. You can insert
the earphone as shown below:
Use the navigation keys and Ok key to use various features in the
FM radio interface.
5. Notable Features
5.1 Bluetooth
Menu> Connectivity> Bluetooth
Turn on Bluetooth to exchange data with other Bluetooth enabled
devices.

5.2 Blacklist
Menu>Settings>Security Settings>Blacklist
This feature allows you to stop receiving calls from the blacklisted
numbers.
5.3 PIN Lock
Menu>Settings>Security Settings>PIN
Lets you activate the PIN lock so that your SIM card can be locked via
SIM Lock feature. The default PIN code is 0000.
5.4 Phone Locked
Menu> Settings > Security Settings >Phone Locked
This function can be used to lock the phone and prevent others from
using the mobile phone without permission (default password is
0000). After enabling the phone lock, you must enter the correct
password each time you power on the mobile phone, unless the
mobile phone cannot be used normally.
5.5 Privacy Protection
a. Go to Menu> Settings>Security Settings> Privacy
b. Enter the default password to set the privacy lock.
c. Select and enable the desired objects to protect and save the
choice.
Each time you access the protected feature such as messages, you will
be asked for the password.
Note: The default password to access this feature is 0000.

5.6 Music Player
Menu> Multimedia> Music Player
The phone comes with an inbuilt music player that plays all your
favorite songs stored in the phone memory or memory card.
Press the Left key to choose various music options
Play/Stop: by pressing OK Key.
Shift Music: by pressing left and right Navigation keys.
Adjust Volume: by pressing * and # keys.
5.7 Theft Tracker
Menu> Settings> Security Settings> Theft Tracker
You can track your phone in case of loss or thefts by activating the
Mobile Tracker mode and configuring an alternate number and
message to be received from the unauthorized user. The default
password to use this feature is 0000.
5.8 File Manager
Menu> File Manager
Allows you to view and manage files available in your phone or
memory card.
Warning: All existing files in the memory card will be deleted after
