The Microlife Forehead Thermometer is a hig h quality
product incorporating the latest technolog y and tested in
accordance with international standards. With its unique
and clinically tested technology, the Microlife Forehead
Thermometer can provide a stable reading com parable
with an oral temperature. The i nstrument performs a selftest every time it is switched on to always guara ntee the
specified accuracy of measurements.
The Microlife Forehead Thermometer allow s a simple and
quick measurement of the body temperature. P lease keep
in mind that – like any skin temperature – the temperature
at the forehead area might be l ower than the core body
temperature. Body temperature varies depending on the
part of the body where it is measured. The variation can be
between 0.2 - 1 °C.
Temperatures measured with diff erent thermometers
cannot be compared with one anothe r. So, when taking
your own temperature, advise your doctor which thermometer was used and in which part of the body.
A basic physiological effect called vasoconstriction can
occur in the early stages of fever, resulting in a cool skin

patient's finding or unusually low, repeat the measurement
every 15 minutes or double check the result by anoth er core
body temperature measurement, e.g. use an IR-eardrum
thermometer or a rectal pen-type thermometer.

This instrument is NOT waterproof so do not
immerse in liquids.
3. How this Thermometer measures Temper-
ature
This thermometer measures infr ared energy radiated from
the skin above the eyebrow area and the surrounding
tissue. This energy is collected through the le ns and
converted to a temperature value.
Temperature readings obtained by sca nning above the
eyebrow area will provide the greatest accuracy.
4. Control Displays and Symbols
