1. Introduction
1.1. Features
The blood pressure monitor is a fully automatic, digital blood pressure measuring device for use on the upper arm with integrated MAM and PAD technology. This monitor enables very fast and reliable measurement of the systolic and diastolic blood pressure as well your pulse by use of the oscillometric method.
This device is easy to use and is proven in clinical studies to provide excellent accuracy. The large display makes it easy to visualize operational status and cuff pressure during a measurement.
Before using, please read through this instruction manual carefully and then keep it in a safe place. For further questions on the subject of blood pressure and its measurement, please contact your doctor.
Attention!
1.2. Important information about self-measurement
Self-measurement means Control, not diagnosis or treatment. Your values must always be discussed with your doctor. Never alter the dosages of any medication without direction from your doctor.
The pulse reading is not suitable for checking heart pacemakers!
In cases of cardiac irregularity (Arrhythmia), measurements made with this instrument should only be
evaluated after consultation with the doctor.
Electromagnetic interference
The device contains sensitive electronic components. Therefore, avoid strong electrical or electromagnetic fields in the direct vicinity of the device (e.g. mobile telephones, microwave ovens). These can lead to temporary impairment of the measuring accuracy.

2. Important Information on the Subject of Blood Pressure and its Measurement
2.1. How does high/low blood pressure arise?
Your blood pressure level is determined in the circulatory center of your brain. Your nervous system allows your body to adapt or alter blood pressure in response to different situations. Your body alters your pulse and the width of blood vessels through changes in muscles in the walls of blood vessels. Your blood pressure reading is highest when the heart pumps or ejects blood – this is called your Systolic Blood Pressure. Your blood pressure reading is lowest when the heart rests (in-between beats) – this is called your Diastolic Blood Pressure.
Note: Maintain blood pressure values within a «normal» range(s) in order to prevent particular diseases.
2.2. Which values are normal?
Blood pressure is too high if at rest, the diastolic pressure is above 90 mmHg and/or the systolic blood pressure is over 140 mmHg. If you obtain readings in this range, consult your doctor immediately. High blood pressure values over time damage blood vessels, vital organs such as the kidney and even your heart.
When blood pressure values are too low, i.e. systolic values under 100 mmHg and/or diastolic values under 60 mmHg, consult your doctor.
Even with normal blood pressure values, a regular self-check with your blood pressure monitor is recommended. In this way you can detect possible changes in your values early and react appropriately.
If you are undergoing medical treatment to control your blood pressure, please keep a record of the level of your blood pressure by carrying out regular self-measurements at specific times of the day. Show these values to your doctor. Never use the results of your measurements to independently alter drug
doses prescribed by your doctor.

• If your values are mostly «normal» under resting conditions but exceptionally high under conditions of physical or psychological stress, it is possible that you are suffering from so-called «labile hypertension». In any case, please discuss the values with your doctor.
• Correctly measured diastolic blood pressure values above 120 mmHg require immediate medical
treatment.

2.3. What can be done, if regular increased/low values are obtained?
a) Please consult your doctor. b) Increased blood pressure values (various forms of hypertension) over time are associated with
considerable risks to health. Blood vessels in your body are endangered due to constriction caused by deposits in the vessel walls (Arteriosclerosis). This can result in a deficient supply of blood to important organs (heart, brain, muscles). Additionally, the heart will become structurally damaged.
c) There are many different causes of high blood pressure. We differentiate between the common primary
(essential) hypertension, and secondary hypertension. Secondary hypertension can cause organ malfunctions. Please consult your doctor for information about the possible origins of your own increased blood pressure values.
d) There are lifestyle changes you can make to prevent and reduce high blood pressure. These measures
must be part of a healthy lifestyle and include:
A) Eating habits
• Strive for a normal weight as prescribed by your doctor. Reduce overweight!
• Avoid excessive consumption of common salt. (Many «packaged foods» contain high levels of salt).
• Avoid fatty foods. (Packaged foods are frequently high in fats).
B) Previous illnesses
Consistently follow any medical instructions for treating previous illness such as:
• Diabetes (Diabetes mellitus or sugar diabetes)
• Fat metabolism disorder
• Gout
C) Habits
• Eliminate smoking
• Drink only moderate amounts of alcohol
• Restrict your caffeine consumption (Coffee, tea, chocolate, etc.)
D) Physical conditioning
• After a preliminary medical examination, exercise regularly.
• Choose sports which require endurance and avoid those which require strength.
• Avoid reaching the limit of your performance.
• With previous illnesses and/or an age of over 40 years, please consult your doctor before beginning your exercise activities. Your physician will help you develop an exercise routine that is appropriate for you.
2.4. MAM technology (Microlife Average Mode)
• «MAM technology» is a new type of concept for optimum reliability in self-measurement of blood pressure.
• An advanced measurement accuracy is achieved by the automatic analysis of three successive measurements.
• The new system provides reliable values for the doctor and can be used as the basis for reliable diagnostics and medication therapy for high blood pressure.

2.5. PAD - Pulse Arrhythmia Detection
Appearance of the Arrhythmia indicator
The appearance of this symbol signifies that a certain pulse irregularity was detected during the measurement. The result can vary from your normal blood pressure. As a rule this is not a cause for concern; however, if the symbol appears more frequently (e.g. several times per week on measurements performed daily) or if it suddenly appears more often than usual, we recommend you inform your doctor. Please show your doctor the following explanation:
Information for the doctor on frequent appearance of the Arrhythmia indicator
This device is an oscillometric blood pressure measuring device that also analyses the pulse frequency during measurement. The accuracy of this device has been clinically validated.
If pulse irregularities occur during measurement, the arrhythmia symbol is displayed after the measurement. If the symbol appears more frequently (e.g. several times per week on measurements performed daily) or if it suddenly appears more often than usual, we recommend the patient to seek medical advice.
The device does not replace a cardiac examination, but serves to detect pulse irregularities at an early stage.

4. Using your Blood Pressure Monitor
4.1. Inserting the batteries
Insert batteries immediately after unpacking the device. The battery compartment is located on the back of the device (see illustration).
a) Remove cover as illustrated
b) Insert the batteries (4 x size AA 1,5V), thereby
observing the indicated polarity.
c) If the battery warning appears in the display, the
batteries are empty and must be replaced.
Attention!
• After the battery warning appears, the device is blocked until the batteries have been replaced.
• Please use «AA» Long-Life or Alkaline 1.5 V Batteries. The use of 1.2 V Accumulators is not recommended.
• If the blood pressure monitor is left unused for long periods, please remove the batteries from the device.
4.2. Using an mains adapter (special accessory)
This blood pressure monitor can be operated with the Microlife mains adapter (output 6 V DC / 600 mA, DIN plug).
a) Plug the plug into the socket at the back of the
instrument.
b) Plug the mains adapter into a 230 V or 110 V power
socket. Test that power is available by pressing the O/I button.
Note:
• No power is taken from the batteries while the mains adapter is connected to the instrument.
• If the mains voltage is interrupted during the measurement (e.g. by accidental removal of the mains adapter from the mains socket), the instrument must be reset by removing the plug from its socket and re-inserting the connections.
• Please consult a specialist dealer if you have questions relating to the mains adaptor.
4.3. Cuff connection
Insert the cuff tube into the opening provided on the left side of the instrument, as shown in the diagram.
4.4. Setting the time and date
This blood pressure monitor automatically records the time and date of each measurement. This is very important information as blood pressure normally varies over the course of a day.
1. After new batteries have been inserted the year is blinking in the display. You can adjust the year by pressing the «M» button. Press the Time button to confirm and switch to month setting.
2. The correct month can be entered by the «M» button. Press the Time button to confirm and switch to day setting.
3. Please follow the instructions above to set the day, hour and minutes.
4. Once the minutes have been set and the Time button is pressed, the date and time will be displayed on the screen.
5. If you want to change the date and time again, please hold the Time button down for about 3 seconds until the year number starts to flash. Now you can enter the new values as described above.
5. Carrying out a Measurement
5.1. Before the measurement
• Avoid eating, smoking as well as all forms of exertion directly before the measurement. All these factors influence the measurement result. Try to find time to relax by sitting in an armchair in a quiet atmosphere for about 5 minutes before measurement.
• Remove any garment that fits closely to your upper arm.
• Always measure on the same arm (normally left).
• Take measurements regularly at the same time of day, since blood pressure changes during the course of the day.

5.2. Common sources of error
Note: Comparable blood pressure measurements always require the same conditions!
These are normally always quiet conditions.
• All efforts by the patient to support their arm can increase blood pressure. Make sure you are in a comfortable, relaxed position and do not activate any of the muscles in the measurement arm during the measurement. Use a cushion for support if necessary.
• If the arm artery lies considerably lower (higher) than the heart, an false reading will be obtained. Each 15 cm difference in height results in a measurement error of 10 mmHg!
• Cuffs that are too narrow or too short result in false measurement values. Selecting the correct cuff is of extraordinary importance. The cuff size is dependent upon the circumference of the arm (measured in the center). The permissible range is printed on the cuff. If this is not suitable for your use, please contact your dealer.
Note: Only use clinically approved Microlife Cuffs!
• A loose cuff or a sideways protruding air pocket causes false measurement values.
5.3. Fitting the cuff
a) Push the cuff over the left upper arm so that the tube points in the
direction of the lower arm.
b) Lay the cuff on the arm as illustrated. Make certain that the lower edge of
the cuff lies approximately 2 to 3 cm above the elbow and that the rubber tube leaves the cuff on the inner side of the arm.
c) Tighten the free end of the cuff and close the cuff with the closer.
d) The cuff should be snug on your upper arm, but not too tight. Any clothing
which restricts the arm (e.g. pullover) must be taken off.
e) Lay your arm on a table (palm upwards) so that the cuff is at the same
height as the heart. Make sure that the tube is not kinked.
Note:
If it is not possible to fit the cuff to the left arm, it can also be placed on the right. However all measurements should be made using the same arm.
5.4. Measurement mode selection
Clinical studies demonstrate taking multiple blood pressure readings and calculating an «average» is more likely to determine your true blood pressure. This blood pressure monitor allows you to switch to the special Microlife Average Mode – MAM – that automatically takes multiple readings!
MAM Mode:
a) If you would like to take a MAM measurement, please slide the
switch to the right toward no. 3.
b) MAM mode takes generally 3 measurements in succession and
calculates the result.
c) The « » symbol in the display indicates that the device is
set to the MAM mode.

b) Single mode only has 1 measurement.
5.5. Measuring procedure
After the cuff has been appropriately positioned, the measurement can begin:
a) Press the O/I button. The pump begins to inflate the cuff. The rising
pressure in the cuff is shown in the display.
b) After reaching the inflation pressure, the pump stops and the pressure
gradually falls. The cuff pressures are displayed. In case that the inflation pressure is not sufficient, the monitor automatically re-inflates to a higher level.
c) When the instrument detects a pulse, the heart symbol in the display starts
to flash and a beep is heard for every heartbeat.
d) A longer beep is sounded when the measurement has been completed. The
systolic, and diastolic blood pressures and pulse rate now appear in the display.
e) The measurement results are displayed, until you switch the device off. If no
button is pressed for 5 minutes, the device switches automatically off, to save the batteries.
f) When the device is set to MAM mode, generally 3 separate measurements
will take place in succession and calculates your detected blood pressure value. There will be 15 seconds resting time in-between each measurement. A count down indicates the remaining time and a beep will sound 5 seconds before the 2nd and 3rd readings will begin. In case that the single data of each cycle differ too much from each other, a fourth measurement is performed before the result will be displayed. In rare cases the blood pressure is such unstable that even after four measurements the data vary too much. In this case «ERR 6» is shown and no result can be given. If one of measurement causes an error message it is repeated.
5.6. Discontinuing a measurement
If it is necessary to interrupt a blood pressure measurement for any reason (e.g. the patient feels unwell), the 0/I button can be pressed at any time. The device immediately lowers the cuff pressure automatically.
5.7. Memory – recall of measurements
This device automatically stores the last 99 measurements. By pressing the «M» button, the number of stored measurements is displayed (e.g. 30 set). By pressing again, the last measurement, e.g. MR30 as well as previous 29 measurements (MR29, MR28, …MR1) can be displayed one after the other. Data obtained in MAM mode are indicated by a « » symbol.

5.8.Memory– cancellation of all measurements
Attention!
Before you delete all readings stored in the memory, make sure you will not need refer to the readings at a later date. In order to delete all stored readings, depress the «M» button for at least 7 seconds, the display will show the symbol «CL» and 3 short beep sounds will be heard to indicate deletion of stored readings.
Note:
If your last stored measurement was taken in the MAM mode, you will see the « » symbol approximately 3 seconds during the deletion
procedure. (The display will show this symbol during deletion of all stored measurements, if the last measurement is taken in the MAM mode).
6. PC-Link Functions
This device can be used in connection with a persoanl computer (PC) running the Microlife Blood Pressure Analyser (BPA) software. The memory data can be transferred to the PC by connecting the monitor via cable with the PC.
6.1. Installation and Data Transmission
a) Insert CD into CD ROM drive of your PC. The installation will
start automatically. If not, please click on «SETUP.EXE»
b) Connect the monitor via cable with the PC – no need
to switch the device on. Three horizontal bars will appear on the display and last for 3 seconds.
c) The bars will then flash to indicate that the connection between
computer and device is successfully made. As long as the cable is plugged, the bars will keep flashing and buttons are disabled.
During the connection, the device is completly controlled by the computer. Please refer to the «help» file for software instructions.

7. Error Messages/Malfunctions
If an error occurs during a measurement, the measurement is discontinued and a corresponding error code is displayed. (Example: Error no. 1)
* Please consult your doctor, if this or any other problem occurs repeatedly. Other possible malfunctions and possible solutions – If problems occur when using the device, the
following points should be checked and if necessary, the corresponding measures are to be taken:

Error No. Possible cause(s)
ERR 1 The systolic pressure was determined but afterwards the cuff pressure fell below 20 mmHg.
The tube may have become unplugged after the systolic blood pressure was measured. Further possible cause: No pulse has been detected.
ERR 2 Unnatural pressure impulses influence the measurement result. Reason: The arm was moved
during the measurement (Artefact).
ERR 3 Inflation of the cuff takes too long. The cuff is not correctly seated or the hose connection is not sealed. ERR 5 The measured readings indicated an unacceptable difference between systolic and diastolic
pressures. Take another reading following directions carefully. Contact you doctor if you
continue to get unusual readings. ERR 6 Single data differ too much during MAM mode even after 4 cycles. No average result can be displayed. HI The pressure in the cuff is too high (over 300 mmHg) OR the pulse is too high (over 200 beats
per minute). Relax for 5 minutes and repeat the measurement.* LO The pulse is too low (less than 40 beats per minute). Repeat the measurement.*
Malfunction Remedy
The display remains empty when the instrument is switched on although the batteries are in place.
1. Check whether the batteries are installed with the correct polarity and correct if necessary.
2. If the display is unusual, remove the batteries and then exchange them for new.
The pressure does not rise although the pump is running.
• Check the connection of the cuff tube and connect properly if necessary.
The device frequently fails to measure the blood pressure values, or the values measured are too low (too high).
1. Fit the cuff correctly on the arm.
2. Before starting the measurement make sure that the cuff is not fitted too tightly and that there is no rolled-up sleeve exerting pressure on the arm above the measuring position. Take off articles of clothing if necessary.
3. Measure the blood pressure again in complete peace and quiet.
Every measurement results in different values although the device functions normally and the values displayed.
• Please read the following information and the points listed under «Common sources of error». Repeat the measurement.
The blood pressure values measured differ from those measured by the doctor.
• Record the daily development of the values and consult your doctor about them.

Further information
The level of blood pressure is subject to fluctuations even in healthy people. It is important to compare measurements taken under the same conditions and at the same time of day. (Quiet conditions)!
If you have any questions regarding the use of this blood pressure monitor, please ask your dealer or pharmacist for the Microlife Service representative in your country. The Microlife Service Team will be happy to help you. Never attempt to repair the instrument yourself! Any unauthorized opening of the instrument invalidates all guarantee claims!
8. Care and Maintenance, Recalibration
a) Do not expose the device to either extreme temperatures,
humidity, dust or direct sunlight.
b) The cuff contains a sensitive air-tight bubble. Handle the
cuff carefully and avoid all types of straining through twisting or buckling.
c) Clean the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use gasoline,
thinners or similar solvents. Carefully remove spots on the cuff with a damp cloth and soapsuds. Do not wash the
cuff in a washing machine or dishwasher!
d) Handle the tube carefully. Avoid stress from pulling,
pinching and sharp edges.
e) Do not drop the instrument or treat it roughly in any way.
Avoid strong vibrations.
f) Never open the device! This can negatively impact the
calibration! (accuracy)
Periodical re-calibration
Sensitive measuring devices must be checked for accuracy from time to time. We recommend a periodical inspection of your device by an authorized microlife dealer every 2 years. Your factory authorized Microlife dealer would be pleased to provide more information regarding calibration.

9. Guarantee
This instrument is covered by a 3 year guarantee from the date of purchase. The guarantee is valid only on presentation of the guarantee card completed by the dealer confirming date of purchase or the receipt. Batteries, cuff and wearing parts are not included. Opening or altering the instrument invalidates the guarantee. The guarantee does not cover damage caused by improper handling, discharged batteries, accidents or non-compliance with the operating instructions.

1. Introduction
1.1. Caractéristiques
Le tensiomètre est un appareil digital de mesure de tension artérielle entièrement automatique, à technologie MAM et PAD intégrée, qui s'utilise sur le haut du bras.Ce tensiomètre vous permet de mesurer de façon fiable et rapide la pression artérielle systolique et diastolique ainsi que le pouls grâce à la méthode oscillométrique.
Cet appareil est d'utilisation facile, et des études cliniques ont prouvé son excellente précision. Son grand écran permet de visualiser simplement le stade opérationnel et la tension dans le brassard pendant la mesure.
Veuillez lire attentivement ce mode d'emploi avant utilisation puis rangez-le dans un endroit sûr. Pour toute question concernant la tension artérielle et sa mesure, consultez votre médecin.

1.2. Information importante pour prendre soi-même sa tension artérielle
N'oubliez pas: en prenant sa tension soi-même on ne fait qu'un contrôle, ce n'est ni un diagnostic ni un traitement. Lorsque les valeurs sont anormales, il faut toujours en parler à un médecin. Ne modifiez sous aucun prétexte par vous-même les doses de médicament prescrites par votre médecin.
L'affichage du pouls ne permet pas de contrôler la fréquence des stimulateurs cardiaques!
En cas de troubles du rythme cardiaque (arythmie), vous ne devriez utiliser cet appareil qu'après avoir
consulté le médecin.
Interférences électromagnétiques
L'appareil contient des éléments électroniques sensibles. I faut donc éviter les forts champs électriques ou électromagnétiques à proximité immédiate de l'appareil (par ex. téléphones portables, four à micro-ondes). Cela peut diminuer temporairement la précision de mesure.

2. Informations importantes concernant la tension artérielle et sa mesure
2.1. Quelle est l'origine d'une tension haute/basse?
Le niveau de tension est déterminé dans une partie du cerveau appelée centre cardio-vasculaire et il est adapté à chaque situation par le biais de réactions passant par le système nerveux. Pour réguler la tension sont modifiés la force de battement du coeur et sa fréquence (pouls) ainsi que le diamètre des vaisseaux sanguins. La tension artérielle est à son maximum lorsque le coeur pompe ou éjecte du sang - c'est la tension systolique. La tension artérielle est à son minimum lors de la phase de relâchement du coeur (entre deux battements) – c'est la tension diastolique. Nota: Les valeurs de la tension doivent se situer dans des registres «normaux» pour prévenir certaines maladies.
2.2. Quelles sont les valeurs normales?
La tension est trop élevée lorsque, au repos, la tension diastolique dépasse 90 mmHg et/ou la tension systolique excède 140 mmHg. En cas d'obtention de valeurs dans cette plage, veuillez consulter immédiatement votre médecin. A long terme, un niveau de tension aussi élevé est un risque pour votre santé parce qu'il s'accompagne de lésions d'organes vitaux, comme les reins et le coeur.
En cas de valeurs trop basses - tension systolique inférieure à 100 mmHg et/ou tension diastolique inférieure à 60 mmHg, veuillez aussi consulter votre médecin.
Même si votre tension est normale, il est recommandé que vous fassiez vous-même des contrôles réguliers avec votre tensiomètre. Vous pouvez ainsi détecter suffisamment tôt d'éventuels changements de vos valeurs et réagir en conséquence.
Si vous deviez vous trouver en traitement médical pour réguler votre tension, veuillez tenir à jour le niveau de votre tension en prenant régulièrement des mesures à heures fixes. Présentez ces valeurs à votre médecin. Ne modifiez jamais par vous-même les doses de médicament prescrites par votre
médecin en vous basant sur vos résultats.

Renseignements complémentaires
• Si votre tension est tout à fait normale au repos mais exceptionnellement élevée en cas d'efforts physiques ou de stress, il se peut que vous souffriez de ce que l'on appelle une «hypertension labile». Si c'est ce que vous supposez, veuillez consulter votre médecin.
• Une tension diastolique mesurée correctement qui dépasse 120 mmHg nécessite un traitement
médical immédiat.

2.3. Que faire lorsque les valeurs déterminées sont régulièrement trop élevées/trop basses?
a) Veuillez consulter votre médecin. b) Une tension élevée (différentes formes d'hypertension) représente à long ou à moyen terme des risques
importants pour la santé. Ceci concerne les vaisseaux sanguins artériels de votre corps qu'un rétrécis­sement dû à la formation de dépôts sur les parois vasculaires (artériosclérose) met en danger. Cela peut avoir pour conséquence une insuffisance de l'apport de sang aux organes importants (coeur, cerveau, muscles). D'autre part, cela endommage la structure du coeur.
c) L'apparition d'une tension élevée peut avoir des origines multiples. On distingue l'hypertension primaire
commune (essentielle) et l'hypertension secondaire. L'hypertension secondaire peut provoquer des dysfonctionnements organiques. Pour connaître les causes possibles de votre propre hypertension, veuillez consulter votre médecin.
d) Vous pouvez prendre certaines mesures non seulement pour réduire l'hypertension établie par votre médecin
mais aussi de manière préventive. Ce sont des mesures qui concernent votre mode de vie en général:
A) Habitudes alimentaires
• Efforcez-vous d'atteindre un poids normal pour votre âge, tel que prescrit par votre médecin. Réduisez l'excès de poids!
• Evitez la consommation excessive de sel ordinaire (de nombreux «plats préparés» contiennent une dose de sel élevée).
• Evitez les plats trop gras. (les plats préparés ont fréquemment un taux de lipides élevé).
B) Maladies existantes
Suivez consciencieusement tout traitement médical pour les maladies dont vous souffrez déjà telles que:
• diabète (Diabetes mellitus)
• problèmes de métabolisme lipidique
• arthrite.
C) Stimulants
• Renoncez totalement à fumer.
• Ne buvez de l'alcool que modérément.
• Restreignez votre consommation de café, thé, chocolat, etc.
D) Exercice physique
• Faites régulièrement du sport après un contrôle médical préalable.
• Choisissez des sports qui exigent de l'endurance et évitez ceux qui exigent de la force.
• Ne cherchez pas à aller jusqu'au bout de vos limites physiques.
• Si vous souffrez déjà de maladies et/ou si vous avez plus de 40 ans, veuillez consulter votre médecin avant de commencer toute activité sportive. Il vous conseillera sur le type de sport et la fréquence qui vous conviennent.
2.4. Technologie MAM (Microlife Average Mode - Mode Moyenne Microlife)
• La «technologie MAM» est un concept d'un nouveau type assurant une fiabilité optimale dans l'automesure de la tension artérielle.
• Une excellente précision de mesure est obtenue par analyse automatique de trois relevés successifs.
• Ce nouveau système fournit au médecin des valeurs fiables et peut être utilisé comme base de diagnostic et de médication thérapeutique en cas de pression artérielle élevée.

• Les résultats individuels ne s'affichent pas.
• Suite à l'analyse de données, il peut y avoir une 4e mesure.
2.5. PAD (Pulse Arrhythmia Detection) - détection d'arythmie

L'affiche de ce symbole signifie que certaines irrégularités de pouls ont été constatées lors de la mesure. Le résultat peut alors ne pas correspondre à votre tension habituelle. En règle générale, il n'y a aucune raison de s'inquiéter à ce sujet: si toutefois ce symbole s'affiche plus souvent (par ex. plusieurs fois par semaine lorsqu'on effectue des mesures quotidiennes) ou apparaît subitement plus souvent que ce n'était le cas auparavant, nous vous recommandons d'en informer votre médecin. Montrez-lui alors l'explication ci-après:

L'appareil Microlife est un tensiomètre oscillométrique qui, en option supplémentaire, analyse le pouls de la mesure. L'appareil a été validé cliniquement pour sa précision.
Si des irrégularités du pouls sont constatées lors de la mesure, le symbole d'arythmie s'affiche après cette dernière. Lorsque le symbole apparaît plus fréquemment (par ex. plusieurs fois par semaine en cas de mesures quotidiennes) ou subitement plus souvent qu'auparavant, nous recomman­dons au patient, pour plus de sécurité, de se soumettre à un examen médical plus précis.
L'appareil ne remplace pas un examen cardiologique, mais il contribue au dépistage précoce d'irrégularités de la fréquence cardiaque.
