Descriptions of icon

Ikons Description

When pick up the handset, this icon will turn
on to indicate that the unit is in use mode.

When press the speaker button, this icon
will turn on to indicate that the unit is in spe­akerphone mode.

After dialled out about 5 seconds, this icon
will turn on to timer, and will turn off after
hang up about 8 seconds.

During writing a message, press # button, it
will turn on, it mean that the letter is in
upper case mode.

When you receive a new SMS message or
voice mail, this icon will show on the LCD to
remind you to read.

If there are new calls in memory, this icon
will turn on. After all the new calls have
been reviewed, the icon will be turned off.

If the call comes repeatedly, this icon will
turn on.

To confirm an action
This button function as CALL BACK when browsing the incoming
calls. Please refer to Calling back a CID number in Caller iden-
tification list section for details.

This unit has up to 30 memory locations in the Phone book me­mory. For details, please see Phone book section in this manu­al.

This unit has up to 90 memory locations in the CID memory. For
details, please see Caller identification list section in this user ma­nual.

This unit has up to 30 memory locations in the outgoing memo­ry. For details, please see Outgoing calls section in this manual.

To delete an entry or a record in the memory

This button functions as last number redial when you make a call
(32 digits maximum). Numbers that are longer than 32 digits will
not be kept in the redial memory.

Safety precautions Installing the base unit

Safety precautions

To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock and injury, ple­ase follow these basic safety precautions before you use
this equipment.

1. Carefully read the instructions in this manual.

2. Read the warnings marked on the unit.

3. When cleaning, unplug the phone. Use a damp
cloth. use liquid or aerosol moist.

4. Do not use this equipment in surroundings

5. Do not place objects on the line cord that may cau­se damage.

6. Avoid spilling any liquids on the unit.

7. Unplug this telephone from the wall outlet and refer
servicing to qualified service personnel.

Preparing the telephone

The package contains the following:

One base unit
One Handset with coil cord
One line cord

4 AA size 1.5V batteries

One User manual

One adaptor

Installing the base unit

Notes on the installation
The unit is designed for operation in rooms with a tem­perature range from +5 to +45.

Inserting the batteries

The SMS phone requires four 1.5V AA size batteries to
active display.

1. Remove the battery cover from the back of your
SMS phone.

2. Insert four new 1.5V AA size batteries note
the +/- polarity marks into the compartment.

3. Replace the cover securely.

Installing the base unit

Connecting the base unit

1. Insert the small plug on the mains cable into DC jack, insert power supply unit into mains socket.

2. Insert one end of the telephone cable into line jack, insert another telephone jack into telephone socket.

• Only the power supply unit supplied use as indicated on the underside of the device.

• If you buy another cable, ensure that the telephone leads have 3-4 assignment.

Attention: new telephone cable. Only use the cablesupplied.

Presetting

Setting the date and time

In standby mode, the unit can show the date and time to help
you keep your appointments. You need to set the date and
time so that the date and time when messages or calls are
received can be displayed correctly.

Open the menu

Select the menu item and confirm

• When set the date and time, you need to enter, two digits at
a time e.g. the month August, in the month field you need to en­ter 8. If not, the entry number is invalid.

• The time is in 24h mode.

• The date and time will be automatically set when you receive
a first call to this unit. (FSK standard)

Presetting Making calls

Making calls

To make a call, simply pick up the handset and wait for
the dialling tone.
Then, dial the desired telephone number with the nu­meric keys.
To end a call, replace the handset onto the cradle of
the base unit, or press the hook switch.

Handsfree talking

Press the speaker button to put your phone off-ho­ok, enter the phone number to be called, afterwards,
the number will be dialled out accordingly. And OHD
works with phone numbers stored in phone book and
redial list.

Predialling call

Enter the phone number to be called, then press the
speaker button, then the number will be dialled out
accordingly.

Enter the area code number0~9
(up to 4 digits)

Press twice to confirm and enter the
LDS code setting.

• If you set the area code number, when dialling the number that
with the set area code number in phonebook or CID list, the num­ber can be dialled out without the area code number.

• If you set the LDS code number, when dialling the long distance
number(more than 7 digits) in phonebook or CID list, the number
can be dialled out with the LDS code number. In reviewing state,
the LDS code number can not be displayed.

• If the phone number is not correct, press the button to cancel the
precious entries and move backward.

Caller Identification list

This unit can store up to 90 incoming calls name and
number, date and time

• If the memory storage is full, when the next call comes in,
the oldest record will be overwritten for the New Call Record.

• When you have received New Call, the NEW LED will flash until
you review it.

• At the end of the call record list, LCD will show End Of List

• If there is no call, LCD will show No Calls.

display.

OUT OF AREA will display when
someone calls from an area where the
operator is not offering the caller iden­tification services or an area that is not
yet providing name and number deli­very to your area via the long distance
net work.

If you have voice mail service from
your telephone company and a recor­ded message is left, the display will
show MESSAGE WAITING .
Icon will then appear on the right of
the display. The icon will remain until
you have retrieved your voice mail.

Text message (SMS)

With this SMS phone you can send and receive text mes­sages (SMS messages). SMS messages can only be rece­ived by device which support this feature (mobil phones,
PCs, other telephones)

Prerequisite:
CID

Caller identification (CID) and station number transmission
must be enabled at your fixed network telephone connecti­on.

Contact your network provider enable is features for your
telephone connection.

Writing, storing and sending an SMS

Your device has four SMS boxes, they are independent
from each other.

Each box can store at least 20X160 characters messages
or up to 99 messages, they are not lost in the event of a po­wer off.

The unit will receive messages as long the memory storage
is not full. In late of full memory the unit shows Inbox Full
and how many messages are stored. You need to free up
space for new messages.

The unit can send short messages (up to 160 characters).

SMS sending are not automatically stored. If you want to
store an SMS you must do this before sending it.

Setting the box code

You can use different SMS boxes in private mode by
defining a pin by number for Box2, Box3 and Box4.
Box1 is for public use.

Setting a new code

Open the menu

Select the menu item and confirm

The LCD shows Enter Code, enter
the code number(0~9)

Press to confirm, LCD shows
Repeat Entry, enter the same code
number to reconfirm.

• If the second code number is different to the first one, the LCD

will show Code Error.

• Set the code of Box3 and Box4 same as the steps of Box2.

• If you already set the code, when you want to enter the Box,
you need to enter your code number firstly.

• If you removed the code number, you can enter the box without
it.

• Also you can set a new code number again with the same steps
of Setting a new code number.

Clearing a set code number

When you get a new message, you will hear a beep to­ne and the LCD will show icon and the NEW LED will
flash twice at a time to signal until you review it.

Ikone Bedeutung

Der Hörer ist gehoben (Telefon im Betrieb)

Diese Ikone wird angezeigt, wenn die Hörer­taste gedrückt wird (Telefon im Hörer-Betri­ebsart)

Wenn eine Rufnummer ca. 5 Sekunden lang
gewählt wurde, wird diese Ikone angezeigt.

Sicherheitsanweisungen

Befolgen Sie bitte die nachstehend angeführten Hinwei­se, um das Risiko des Brandes, elektrischen Unfalls und
Verletzung zu vermeiden .

1. Lesen und befolgen Sie die Anweisungen in diesem
Handbuch.

2. Beachten Sie die Warnschilder auf dem Gerät.

3. Vor Reinigung den Netzanschlussstecker ausziehen.
Keine flüssige oder Aerosolreiniger benutzen.

4. Das Gerät nicht in feuchter Umgebung benutzen.

5. Keine Gegenstände auf den Telefonkabel stellen, die
das Kabel beschädigen könnten.

6. Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Flüssigkeiten.

7. Reparaturen dürfen nur von Fachkräften durchge­führt werden. Vor der Reparatur das Telefon vom
Netz ausschalten.

Installation des Telefongerätes

Bemerkung
Das Telefon darf in Räumen mit Temperatur +5 °C bis
+45 °C eingesetzt werden.

Einlegen der Akkus

Der Speicher für Kurzmitteilungen braucht vier AA Akkus
1,5V für den LCD-Display.

1. Den Deckel des Akku-Faches auf der Rückseite des
Telephons abnehmen.

2. Vier neue AA Akkus 1,5V einlegen. Polarität beach­ten.

3. Den Deckel wieder einsetzen.

Installation des Telefongerätes

Anschluss des Telefongerätes

1. Den kleinen Stecker des Netzkabels in die Gleichstromsteckdose und das Netzteil in die Netzsteckdose stecken.

2. Ein Ende des Telefonkabels in die Netzanschlussdose und das andere Ende in den Telefonanschluss am Gerät stec­ken.

• Nur das mitgelieferte Netzteil verwenden, das auf der unteren Seite des Gerätes angegeben ist.

• Wenn Sie ein anderes Kabel kaufen, beachten Sie, dass es mit entsprechenden Steckern bestückt ist.

Vorsicht: Ein neues Telefonkabel. Nur das mitgelieferte Kabel benutzen.

Voreinstellung

Datum und Uhrzeit einstellen

Im Betriebsart "Bereitschaft" kann das Gerät Datum und
Uhrzeit anzeigen, damit Sie Ihre Verabredungen nicht ver­säumen. Das Datum und die Uhrzeit sind so einzustellen,
dass sie richtig angezeigt werden, wenn Sie Kurzmitteilun­gen oder Anrufe bekommen.

Nach Bestätigung dieses Befehles
erscheint die Meldung "Format­ting..." auf der Anzeige. Nach Been­digung der Operation kehrt das Ge­rät in die Bereitschaft zurück.

• Wenn Sie Datum und Uhrzeit einstellen, müssen Sie zwei Zeichen,
z.B. "08" für August eingeben, sonst ist die Eingabe ungültig.

• Die Uhrzeit ist in 24-Stunden-Mode einzugeben.

• Datum und Uhrzeit werden automatisch bei dem ersten ankom­menden Anruf eingegeben (FKS Standard).

Voreinstellung Anrufe

Anrufe

Zuerst den Hörer heben und den Wählton abwarten.
Dann mit den Ziffertasten die gewünschte Rufnummer
eingeben.
Nach dem Telefongespräch den Hörer auf die Auflage le­gen oder die Ausschalttaste drücken.

Handsfree-Telefongespräche

Die Lautsprechertaste drücken, um das Telefongerät in
den Lautsprechermode umzuschalten. Dann die gewün­schte Rufnummer eingeben. Das Gerät wählt die Ruf­nummern, die im Telefonbuch oder in der Anruferliste
gespeichert sind.

Vorwahlgespräche

Zuerst die gewünschte Rufnummer eingeben, dann die
Lautsprechertaste drücken. Die Rufnummer wird dann
gewählt.

Ortswahl und Landwahl (LDS) einstellen

Menu öffnen.

Auf der Anzeige steht Kreisnummer 1

Mit Tasten 0 – 9 (höchstens 4 Ziffern)

die Eingabe bestätigen und zur Ein­gabe der Landwahl 2 übergehen.
Auf der Anzeige steht LDS Code 0.

Mit Tasten 0 – 9 (höchstens 2 Ziffern)
die Landwahl eingeben.

Eingabe Bestätigen und das Menu
verlassen.

• Wenn die Ortswahl eingegeben wurde, braucht sie bei Wahl einer
Telefonnummer, die mit der Ortswahl im Telefonbuch oder im
Speicher der Anrufe gespeichert ist, nicht gewählt werden.

• Dasselbe gilt auch für Wahl der Telefonnummer mit der Landwa­hl. Bei Änderung wird die Landwahl nicht angezeigt.

• Wenn die Rufnummer nicht richtig eingegeben wurde, die unri­chtige Eingabe mit der DEL-Taste löschen, dann die Wahl fort­setzen.
