Before using this appliance please read and fully understand the safety directions in this
manual. Ensure that you know how to operate the appliance. All electrical equipment presents

Operation Guide
Power Connection
Connect to a suitable 220-240V ~50Hz power supply only. This appliance is designed to
operate safely across both New Zealand and Australian power supplies. This appliance must be
earthed.
First Time Use
When first used the heat elements may not heat satisfactorily until they have settled. This is
normal as the elements may take 2-3 uses before operating at a maximum heat level. It is
suggested that you operate the appliance 2 times without bread to allow the elements to settle
correctly.
Basic Toasting
Ensure the toaster is correctly located and connected to a suitable power supply. Ensure the
bread carriage lever is in the raised position.
Set the heating dial to a mid setting (3-4) of your choice.
Place the bread into the bread carriage slots and lower the lever. Toasting will commence.
When toasting has completed the bread lever will release and toasting will stop.
Cancel Function
Press to cancel toasting at any stage
Reheat Function
Cold toast may be reheated. Always remove any spreads that may remain on the cold toast.
Place the bread in bread carriage, select desired heat setting and lower the bread carriage lever.
Press the REHEAT button. Toasting will operate for a shortened time.
Defrost Function
Bread can be toasted straight from the freezer.
Place the frozen bread into the bread carriage as normal, select desired heat setting and lower
the bread carriage lever. Press the DEFROST button. Toasting will operate for an extended
period.
Toasting Tips
Thin sliced bread will toast quicker than toast sized bread. Thin sliced bread or torn bread
should not be used as it may bend under cooking process and jam the toaster in an ON
position creating a fire risk. Always use toast sized bread and were possible toast two pieces at
the same time.

Cleaning
Always disconnect the appliance from the power supply when cleaning.
Do not use harsh abrasives, solvents or scouring material as they may damage the plastics.
Warning! Do not immerse this appliance in any liquid.
Remove the crumb tray and discard any crumb build up.
Gently shake the appliance over the bench to remove any loose crumbs within the body of the
appliance. DO NOT Shake the appliance violently. Do not place foreign objects such as knifes
into the bread toasting area as this may damage the heating elements.
Replace the crumb tray.
Clean the outer case with a damp clean cloth, dry with a dry towel.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of knowledge, unless they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning safe use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Young children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Safely
dispose of any plastic bags or other packaging that may present a hazard to young children of
suffocation or choke hazard.
Warning! Unattended Appliances
Do not leave any toaster unattended when in use. Bread may burn and poses a serious risk of
fire. Do not place any toaster under or near any combustible material such as walls, cupboards
or curtains or near children. Always unplug any appliance when not in use.

Do not let the supply cord hang over the edge of any table or bench as young children may pull
on the cord creating a risk of electric shock, burns, scalding, personal injury or damage.
This appliance must not be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote control
system.
Always place the appliance on a heat resistant surface. The temperature of accessible surfaces
may be high when the appliance is operating.
Always allow a gap around the appliance and do not cover the appliance.
Warning! Moisture
Do not immerse this appliance in any liquid. Do not operate with wet hands or near any vessel
filled with water. Do not splash the appliance with water
Power Cord
Do not abuse or damage the supply cord. If for any reason the cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid
hazard. A replaceable cord must be replaced with an authorised replacement from an
authorized service agent.
Use - This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as

Service
Refer all servicing to qualified personal. This appliance has no user servicing parts or
requirements. Return the appliance to the retailer if it is damaged in any way or not operating
properly.
