BarkBuster Anti-Bark Collar
User’s Manual
Introduction:
The all new MGG BARKBUSTER Anti-Bark Collar stops barking by progressively increasing sound and static impulses which are controlled by a microprocessor distinguishing your dog’s bark from other environmental noises and automatically delivering sound and a static impulses after each bark.
Principles of Operation:
At the first bark the MGG BARKBUSTER Anti-Bark Collar applies a short warning tone. If a second bark occurs within thirty seconds, a more intense tone is sounded. From the third bark, a more intense tone is sounded along with a short, mild static impulse.
The pattern is repeated through 7 correction levels. The first two levels are only with progressive warning tones. If your dog continues to bark through the rest of the five levels, more intense sounds and static impulses are applied after each bark until your pet stops for thirty seconds, and then the Anti-Bark Collar will automatically reset to the first “tone only” level of correction. To protect your dog, if the continuous stimulus reaches the 7 levels, then the collar will stop working for 1 minute.
The use of the warning tone followed by increasingly intense tones and static impulses sets up a pattern that your dog will learn is caused by its own barking. It takes time to break bad habits. Some dogs catch on immediately and others may take a couple of days
When your dog forgets and barks again, the warning tone reminds your pet immediately without applying a static impulse stimulus. At each step your dog gets to choose whether it is worth the increasing static impulse to bark again. We have found this technique of progressively increasing sound and static impulses is not only kinder to your dog but it is more EFFECTIVE in breaking the barking habits than conventional shocking bark control collars.
The MGG BARKBUSTER can be adjusted to control its sensitivity to a bark, according to the size of dog barking.
Operating Instructions:
The MGG BARKBUSTER is almost completely automatic. Just install a 6 volt alkaline battery (available from MGG at 10 for $15), adjust the strap to the size of your dog’s neck and the MGG

BARKBUSTER automatically begins doing its job. You should be able to get just one finger between your dog’s neck and the collar
There are two BUTTONS used to adjust the sensitivity to the bark and every time it is altered up or down there is a “Beep” tone and the sensitivity is gradually enhanced or weakened. The more sensitive it is set, the easier the collar will be triggered.
There are a total of 7 levels of sensitivity. It is set automatically to about midway at level 4 when you install the battery.
Installing/Replacing the Battery:
Take off the battery cover and make sure you install the battery correctly. Install the new battery
between the “clip” and “spring” contacts. Note: the “spring” contact is for the negative end and the “clip” contact is for the positive red end.
Putting the BarkBuster on your dog
Place the collar around your dog’s neck and adjust the collar length using the slide buckle. The unit
should fit snugly underneath your dog’s neck. You should just be able to get one finger between the
collar and the neck. Please make sure that the probes are in contact with your dog’s skin. Unless actually touching the skin, the static impulses will not be felt by your dog and the collar will be ineffective. For extra furry dogs you may have to trim the fur to achieve a satisfactory skin contact.
Notes of Caution
Do not allow your dog to chew the collar and try to minimise any scratching or clawing at the casing. This device is made up from plastic and electronic components which are not digestible. Please
consult your vet if your dog swallows any part of this product. This collar is not suitable for use with any restraining device. If you are using a leash, please use it
with an appropriate type of collar. Although the BarkMaster’s microprocessor is designed to differentiate your dog’s bark from stray
environmental noises, it is conceivably possible for the occasional spurious noise/vibration to activate it.
This is normal but it should not happen so often as to be confusing to your dog. If it is falsely triggered by excessive scratching, head shaking or rolling on the ground, your dog may be suffering from fleas or ear mites. If this behaviour is evident, please have your dog checked by a vet for parasites.
