1.) Open the battery door located at the back of each figure with a Philips screwdriver.
2.) Install one 9-volt alkaline battery into each unit. Be sure to follow the battery indications as shown
on the inside of the battery compartment door.
NOTE: It is recommended you that you replace the "Try Me" battery in the Spider-Man®
figure with a fresh alkaline battery before using.
3.) Replace the battery compartment door.
• TO HEAR YOUR FIGURE SPEAK: Switch the IR/OFF/WT button on the left-hand-side
of both figures to the OFF position and press the button just below the figures' stomachs to
hear them recite phrases from the Spider-Man® film! (see Fig.1 and 2)

• TO HEAR YOUR WALKIE TALKIES COMMUNICATE WITH EACH OTHER:
Switch the IR/OFF/WT button on the left-hand side of both figures to the IR position. Place the
figures within a distance of approximately 10 feet and press the button below the stomach of
Spider-Man® or the Green Goblin
from the Spider-Man® film!
NOTE: Be sure that both figures are turned on, in the IR position and facing each other
in order to hear them talk! After approximately 3 minutes, your interactive figures will
automatically shut off. Simply, slide the IR/OFF/WT switch to OFF and then back to IR
to begin again.
• TO USE WALKIE TALKIES: Switch the IR/OFF/WT switch to WT position on both figures.
Your walkie talkies are now ready to operate. Press the PUSH TO TALK button for sending a
voice message. When doing so, hold the figure approximately 3" from your mouth so that
it is facing you. Release the PUSH TO TALK button to receive messages from the other party.
NOTE: The walkie talkie microphones are located in the figures' left thigh.

SAFETY BATTERY USAGE
• Do not use rechargeable batteries.
• Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
• Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity.
• The supply terminals are not to be short circuited.
• Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the unit.
• When not in use, remove batteries to prevent possible leakage.
• Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
• Different types of batteries or new and used batteries are not to be mixed.
• Do not dispose of batteries on fire; they may leak or explode.
Helpful Hints & Safety Tips
• Your walkie talkies have been adjusted prior to shipment from the factory. Be sure not to touch the
internal components other than replacing the batteries.
• When the sound becomes weak, change the battery.
• Maximum walkie talkie operating range is approximately 150 feet.
• After use, always turn the IR/OFF/WT switch to the OFF position.
• Keep your walkie talkies in a dry and clean place.
• Remove the batteries when walkie talkies are not in use.
• All walkie talkies are subject to electronic interference. If you experience problems with this unit, stay
away from or turn off nearby cordless phones, baby monitors, intercoms or any other "broadcast"
devices.
OPERATING PERFORMANCE MAY BE AFFECTED BY SURROUNDING STRUCTURES AND
EQUIPMENT.
THE USER SHALL NOT CHANGE OR MODIFY THIS EQUIPMENT; OTHERWISE IT COULD VOID
