IMPORTANT:
- After each use, the Battery Pack may be hot. Allow it to cool for at least 20 minutes before recharging.
- If the Battery Pack shows signs of leakage or erosion, do not recharge; replace it immediately.
- Do not disassemble the Battery Pack.
- If Battery Pack or Charging Unit becomes wet, dry thoroughly before recharging.
- Do not use any other rechargeable battery except for the standard 9.6V NiCd Battery Pack that was intended solely for
use with the product.
- Do not use any other charger on the rechargeable battery of airplane.
- The Battery Charger used with the toy is to be regularly examined for damage to the plug, enclosure and other parts. In
the event of such damage, the battery charger must not be used until the damage has been repaired.
STEP 2: INSTALLATION OF THE LAND VEHICLE'S BATTERY
1. Slide the power switch on the Charging Unit to the "VEHICLE OFF" position (see Fig.2).
2. Slide open the battery door of the Charging Unit and plug in the 9.6V Rechargeable Battery Pack (see Fig.3).
Slide to close the battery door to the charging unit.
3. The Charging Unit not only provides power to run the land vehicle but also charges the aircraft for flight.
4. Open the charging hatch on the top left side of the vehicle and turn the vehicle upside down.
5. Slide the Locking Lever (located at the bottom of the vehicle) to the open position. (see Fig. 5)
6. Insert the Charging Connector from the bottom of the vehicle through the charging hatch on top of the
vehicle (see Fig.4).
7. Store the Charging Unit inside the vehicle's body.
8. Slide the Charging Unit to lock and secure it in place by turning the Locking Lever towards the battery. (see
Fig.5)
9. Turn the vehicle over, fold the loose wire and store it back inside the Charging Hatch (see Fig.6).
TROUBLE SHOOTING
If your Land Air R/C™ responds slowly or fails to operate:
- Make sure the batteries in both the handset controller and Land Air R/C™ are installed properly.
- Make sure your battery pack/aircraft is fully charged.
- Make sure the Vehicle and Aircraft are turned on with the handset controller switched to the corresponding
mode.
- Make sure you have installed the antenna on the handset and extended it to full length before use.
If your Land Air R/C™ fails to fly/take off:
- Strong winds may be preventing flight. As a general rule, the aircraft is not powerful enough to fly or take off
properly under strong winds.
- The wind direction may be affecting flight; try changing direction for lift off.
- The perfect orientation for launching is a STRAIGHT PATH DIRECTLY AGAINST A STEADY BREEZE.The
ribbon attached to the tip of antenna can help to indicate the wind direction.
- For vehicle launching, make sure the vehicle maintains top turbo speed before switching from "LAND" to
"AIR"mode.
- Make sure the aircraft is secured to the vehicle properly via the vehicle cradle before vehicle launch.
- For hand launching, hold the aircraft at the bottom clamp area (the middle of the fuselage area), press the
"TURBO" button to turn on the propellers, and then throw the aircraft in a horizontal path.
- Be sure to fully discharge the aircraft's battery before recharging.
TIPS & HELPFUL HINTS
-Do not operate during strong wind blowing, raining or thunderstorms.
-When your vehicle starts to lose power, it may experience loss of function or performance ability. If this
happens, simply recharge your Battery Pack again and/or replace the Handset battery.
-After aircraft is fully charged, make sure to return the switches on both the Vehicle and Aircraft back to
"ON" position.
-Your Land-Air R/C™ is operated by radio waves. It is possible the unit may not perform properly due to
interference from nearby electronic devices such as a cordless phone, hair dryer, radio, walkie-talkie or other
radio-controlled toys.
-Always launch your aircraft from a clear runway, free of obstruction, people, animals or cars.
-Keep fingers, hair, and loose clothing away from from the tires, propellers, wheel hubs and motors while the
vehicle is turned on.
-For best performance, make sure the battery contacts are free of dirt and other interference. To clean,
simply brush the contacts with a dry cloth.
-Avoid sand and snow when operating your vehicle.
-Always select a safe place to play. Never drive your vehicle on populated streets or water areas.
-Remember to turn off your handset and vehicle(s) when not using. Failure to do so will result in battery
drainage.
