Theenginecoolanttemperatureisindicatedbythenumber andcolourofsegmentsilluminated(gure1).
Whenthecoolanttemperatureislow,therst(lowest) segmentisilluminatedblue.Whentheengineisoperating atitsnormaltemperature,thersttofthwhitesegments areilluminatedwhite.Whensixthredsegmentis illuminated,thehightemperaturewarningindicator locatedintheinstrumentpackilluminatesandthemessage
HighEngineT empwillappearinthemessagecentre.
Whenthecoolanttemperaturerisesabovethe7th segmenttemperaturethreshold,thehighcoolant temperaturewarninglampwillashsimultaneouslywith themessageHighEngineT empappearingagaininthe messagecentre.
Highenginecoolanttemperaturecouldresultsevere damage.Stopthevehicleandswitchofftheengineassoon assafetypermitsandseekMGAuthorisedRepaireratthe earliestopportunity .
Iftheenginecoolanttemperaturesensormalfunctions,all segmentswillextinguishandthehightemperaturewarning

FuelGauge

Thequantityoffuelinthetankisindicatedbythenumberof segmentsilluminated(gure4).Therearesevensegments intotal.Whenonesegmentremainsilluminated,thelow fuelwarningindicatorontherighthandsideilluminates, withthemessageLowFuelappearinginthemessage centreandanaudiblewarningheard.Ifthefuelcontinues
tofalltoacriticalstate,thefuellampwillashalongwith the1stsegment.TheLowFuelmessagewillappearin themessagecentreandanaudiblewarningwillsoundagain.
