MFJ-1910
33 Feet Telescoping Fiberglass Mast
Instruction Sheet
Thank you for purchasing the MFJ-1910 33 Feet Telescoping
Fiberglass Mast. Please read these instructions carefully before
use.
Caution!
Improper extending and collapsing of the MFJ-1910 mast
can cause the sections to bind. DO NOT collapse the top section
(thinnest section) first. If the top section is collapsed first, it can
get lodged between the larger sections. This will cause the
sections to bind and you will not be able to fully collapse the
mast. You may not be able to fully extend the mast the next
time you use it. To avoid this, follow the directions below.
When extending the mast, be sure the thin, top section with
the metal loop is extended first. After extending the top section,
twist the section at the joint slightly for a tighter fit. Then proceed
to the next section. Follow this procedure until the last section is
tightly in place.
When collapsing the mast, begin with the bottom section.
Twist the sections at the joint to loosen and gently lower into the
bottom section. Then proceed to the next section. The last section
lowered into the base should be the thin, top section with the metal
loop.
If sections of the MFJ-1910 mast become wedged together
unscrew the cap on the bottom of the mast. All sections should be
removed from the bottom until the sections wedged together can be
seen. Remove the top section from the sections stuck together.
Replace the sections (largest diameter first). Screw the bottom cap
back on after replacing the last section.
