MFJ-121 Dual Time Atomic Clock I n s t r u c t i o n M a n u a l

The MFJ -121 works by receiving the time radio signal generated by the US Atomic Clock located in Colorado. Any place that can receive the signal can use the MFJ -121. Any place that cannot receive the signal will have to set the time manually. The Atomic Clock in Colorado is operated by the US Department of Commerce's National Institute Standards and Technology. To enhance good reception of the signal, avoid placing your MFJ - 121 near television sets, metal surfaces, computers, or any other electrical device that may interfere with the reception of the radio signal.

F C C S t a t e m e n t

The MFJ - 121 might cause TV or radio interference when operating properly. To determine whether the MFJ -121 is causing interference, take out the batteries to turn it off. If the interference goes away, the MFJ -121 is causing the interference. Try to eliminate the interference by reorienting the MFJ-121 and/or increasing the separation between your equipment and the MFJ - 121. If you cannot eliminate the interference, the FCC requires that you stop using the clock.

Display and Mounting

The upper LCD display show the time and radio signal mark. The lower LCD display can be set to another time zone. The unit can be placed on a desktop by pulling out the stand at the back or mounted on a wall (mounting hardware not included).

Daylight Savings Time

During Daylight Savings Time the symbol " * D.S.T" will be shown above the seconds on both LCD displays. If you live in an area that does not observe Daylight Savings Time or want to display GMT, you must set the Time Zone -1 HR from the current setting to compensate.
