6 Miscellaneous
This universal pneumatic-operated plier 130 is an all-purpose stapler for all stapling jobs such as carton blanks, telescope-type boxes, slide lids, carton trays, carrying handles etc. By-pass legs ensure a high level of strength. The legs lie flat and the tips are bent back into the cardboard. This means safety for people and contents!
Depending upon the carton quality, the following staples MG® 130 (crown size 13 mm) with different leg lengths can be inserted:
MG 130/10 with 10 mm leg length MG 130/12 with 12 mm leg length
MG 130/16 with 16 mm leg length
7 Loading the magazine
1. Take grip of staple pusher, press slightly inside, make small rotation to the left and pull
staple pusher out backwards from the magazine.
2. Put staple strips onto the staple carrier now visible and slide them into the magazine.
3. Insert staple pusher again. Make sure the smooth surface at locking grip is on top.
Press grip completely inside and lock by a small rotation to the right.

ATTENTION Risk of injury!
8 Trouble shooting
At any malfunction stop working with the stapling plier. Do not try to clear jams by force. Consult
operating manual and repair cautiously.
Clean the stapler regularly and lubricate the friction points now and then. Unauthorized modifications or improper repairs are not allowed for safety and product liability
considerations. In case fault cannot be cleared please take contact with the manufacturer for repair.
Only Original staples MG130 as laid down in the specification may be used to avoid
malfunction.
Never point an operating stapling device at yourself or others. Beware of hands and fingers being caught in the danger zones between magazine staple
delivery point and sword.
Staples and staple remainders can easily be ejected by activating the valve lever. In most cases this will already clear the jams. Should this action not be successful, do not force, but please take one of the following procedures:
1. In any case take out the staple pusher (133) first.
2. Pull down front plate (132) at staple outlet. In case the staple
pusher has not been taken out before by mistake, the two laminated springs as long as they are still turned in – will prevent the staples from jumping out.
3. Swing out laminated springs to the left resp. to the right.
4. Now clean the open staple channel from jamming staples by sliding the staple pusher all the way through the channel.
5. Swing back laminated springs into their initial position and slip
on front plate.
6. If this does not help, loosen set screw M 4x5 (150) and reduce compressed air while pressing down valve lever (140) until swing lever (113) is just as much moving. Remove hexagon screws M 6 x 31,5 (125) and pull out the magazine to front.
7. After clearing insert the magazine from ahead into the stapling plier as described in section 6, but in reverse order. Prior to this pull up the swing lever (129) by means of a wire hook which has been curved accordingly in order to facilitate inserting the magazine.
All moving parts should be oiled slightly now and then. Only load the stapling plier when it is empty. Pneumatic stapling pliers 130 P are also available with a reversed trigger (140) so that stapling is possible with the throat pointing downwards = model PU as well as with an extended magazine = model PX (loading capacity: 250 staples).

Troubleshooting:
1.
Air pressure too low.
During the stapling 4 - 6 bar overpressure, Check hoses and valves and ensure that the tool has a sufficient air supply.
2.
Air cleanliness inadequate
Connect a maintenance unit upstream consisting of a pressure regulator and water separator.
3.
Staple is jammed in the tool and is not preformed.
Air pressure too low (see item 5). Stapling head too quick.
In the event of a malfunction, which is more extensive than just some jammed staples, please contact us. The tool will be examined by our specialists and the malfunction will be remedied.
14 Maintenance and care
In order to maintain the operational readiness and function of the stapler, it must be regularly checked and cleaned by the operator or by qualified personnel.
All friction points/movable parts should be lightly oiled from time to time. Proper care helps to keep the stapler / stapler in good working order over time. The stapler / stapler
should be thoroughly cleaned at least once a week.
• Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or solvents (damage seals),or even emery paper used for
cleaning.
• Cleaning with compressed air is also to be avoided as there are dirt particles
get into the sealing areas and damage them.
• Do not use footwash for cleaning.
Soiling must be removed directly from the operator after machining operations. Dirt on the workpieces can be blown off.
Only ORIGINAL spare parts may be used. (see “spare parts list”) In case no ORIGINAL spare parts are used each warranty claim, or any liability is excluded!
15 Malfunction detection
No stapling occurred or the staple wasn't fully bent, or it remains in the stapler:
Remove all the staples from the stapling head and clean the device from deposits in soiling. Reconnect the air supply. Now you can use the stapling device to the full extent again.
