Caution:

Metra recommends disconnecting the negative battery terminal before beginning

any installation. All accessories, switches, and especially air bag indicator lights must be
plugged in before reconnecting the battery or cycling the ignition.

Note: Refer also to the instructions included with the aftermarket radio.

that have the JBL or JBL Synthesis amplified sound system.)

Note: Read “Important Warning” on backside before attempting any installation.

From the 10-pin harness:

• Connect the Blue/White wire to the amp turn on wire of the aftermarket radio.

• Connect the White RCA to the left front RCA output of the aftermarket radio.

• Connect the Gray RCA to the right front RCA output of the aftermarket radio.

• Connect the Green RCA to the left rear RCA output of the aftermarket radio.

• Connect the Purple RCA to the right rear RCA output of the aftermarket radio.

Connections to be made

From the 12-pin harness:

• Connect the Yellow wire to the constant 12 volt/battery wire of the aftermarket radio.

• Connect the Red wire to the accessory/switched wire of the aftermarket radio.

• Connect the Black wire to the ground wire of the aftermarket radio.

1. With all the connections completed, plug the 10-pin and 12-pin harnesses into the
TYTO-01.

2. Plug the 20-pin Toyota harness into the vehicle side harness.

3. Plug the aftermarket harness into the aftermarket radio.

4. Cycle the key by turning the ignition on, then back off, then on again to test the radio.

Installing the TYTO-01

1. With the ignition on turn the radio on to verify the radio works.

2. Listen to the music at a moderate level; if the music is too low or too distorted see the

Audio Level Control section.

When using the TYTO-01 with radios that have a really high pre-out voltage or a really low
pre-out voltage, some adjustments may be needed.

If adjustment is needed follow these steps:

1. Find the potentiometer at the 12-pin harness end of the TYTO-01 interface.

2. With the radio at a moderate volume, use a small screwdriver and turn the potentiometer

clockwise to raise the input signal or counterclockwise to lower the input signal.

Conexiones que deben hacerse en el arnés de 10 pins

• Conecte el cable Azul/Blanco con el cable de encendido del amplificador del radio
de mercado secundario.

• Conecte el RCA Blanco con la salida de RCA frontal izquierda del radio de
mercado secundario.

• Conecte el RCA Gris con la salida de RCA frontal derecha del radio de mercado
secundario.

• Conecte el RCA Verde con la salida de RCA izquierda de atrás del radio de
mercado secundario.

• Conecte el RCA Púrpura con la salida de RCA derecha de atrás del radio de
mercado secundario.

Conexiones que se deben hacer

Conexiones que deben hacerse en el arnés de 12 pins

• Conecte el cable Amarillo con el cable de 12 voltios/batería constante
del radio de mercado secundario.

• Conecte el cable Rojo con el cable accesorio/interruptor del radio de
mercado secundario.

• Conecte el cable Negro con el cable de conexión a tierra del radio de
mercado secundario.

1. Cuando termine todas las conexiones, conecte los arneses de 10 pins y 12 pins con el
TYTO-01.

2. Conecte el arnés de 20 pins de Toyota con el arnés lateral del vehículo.

3. Conecte el arnés de mercado secundario con el radio de mercado secundario.

4. Cicle la llave prendiendo la ignición, después apagándola, y prendiéndola otra vez para

probar el radio.

Instalación del TYTO-01

1. Con la ignición prendida, prenda el radio para verificar si funciona.

2. Escuche música a un nivel moderado; si la música se oye con volumen muy bajo o

distorsionada, vea la sección de Control de nivel de audio.

TYTO-01

Cuando use el TYTO-01 con radios que tienen un voltaje de salida realmente alto o
realmente bajo, se pueden requerir algunos ajustes.

Para hacerlo siga estos pasos:

1. Encuentre el potenciómetro en el extremo del arnés de 12 pins de la interfaz TYTO-01.

2. Con el radio en un volumen moderado, use un destornillador pequeño y gire el

potenciómetro hacia la derecha para aumentar la señal de entrada o hacia la izquierda
para bajar la señal de entrada.
