INSTALLATION
A)
Disconnect the vehicles antenna from the radio and connect the
modulators antenna connections (C and D) to the vehicles antenna and radio respectively. (In some vehicles antenna adapters are needed, if this is the case see your nearest Metra retailer for the correct adapters).
B)
For power connections (A), first find a suitable location to mount the On/Off switch. Connect the red wire to a 12 volt switched wire, and connect the black wire to the vehicles chassis ground.
C)
Connect the RCA audio jacks from the source that you want to go through the radio to the RCA audio in put (B) jacks on the modulator.
D)
Select the FM frequency (E) on the side of the modulator that you want to use, either 88.5 MHz or 88.9 MHz.
OPERATION
A)
Turn the modulator On
B)
TuC)rn the radio On and tune it to the frequency you selected on the
modulator Once finished using the modulator, turn off for normal radio operation.
TROUBLESHOOTING No sound
Make sure power switch is on
Make sure the source unit is on
Make sure the radio is on the frequency selected on the modulator
Make sure the power wire is connected to a 12v switched wire
You can hear other stations bleed through what you are listening to
Make sure the radio is on the frequency selected on the modulator
Try switching the frequency on the modulator.
