Disconnect the negative battery ter-

minal to prevent an accidental short circuit.
Remove (2) 9/32” hex head screws
2
from the lower dash trim panel below steering column.
Remove (2) 9/32” hex head screws
3
from bottom edge of instrument clus­ter trim panel.
Remove (1) Phillips head screw from
4
above the instrument cluster.
5
Unclip and remove instrument cluster trim panel.
Remove (2) 9/32” hex head screws
6
securing radio. Unplug and remove radio.
Continue to kit assembly.

Disconnect the negative battery ter-

minal to prevent an accidental short circuit.
Unclip and remove the radio trim
2
panel. (Figure A)
Remove (2) 9/32” hex head screws
3
securing radio. Unplug and remove radio. (Figure A)
Cut and remove the rear support from
4
the back of radio cavity. (Figure B)
Continue to kit assembly.

Disconnect the negative battery ter-

minal to prevent an accidental short circuit.
Remove (5) 9/32” hex head screws
2
from the ashtray cavity.
Remove (4) 9/32” hex head screws
3
from bottom edge of dash trim panel.
Unclip fuse box cover and remove
4
(1) 9/32” hex head screw from fuse box cavity.
Unclip and remove instrument cluster

trim panel.
Remove (1) 9/32” hex head screw
8
from the left edge of dash trim panel.
Unclip and remove dash trim panel.

Remove (2) 9/32” hex head screws

securing radio. Unplug and remove radio.
Cut and remove the rear support from

the back of radio cavity. (Figure A)
Remove (2) 9/32” hex head screws

from above instrument cluster.
Engage parking brake and place
6
gear selector in “D1”.
Continue to kit assembly.

Disconnect the negative battery ter-

minal to prevent an accidental short circuit.
Remove (3) 9/32” hex head screws
2
from along top edge inside of glove box.
Remove (2) 9/32” hex head screws
3
from behind glove box. (Access these screws thru cutout in rear of glove box at top left corner.)
Remove (1) Phillips head screw from
4
defroster vent and remove the vent.
Remove (1) Phillips head screw from
5
inside defroster.
Unclip and remove the trim panel at
6
each of dash and remove (1) Phillips head screw from behind panel.
Remove dash pad.
7
Remove (3) Phillips head screws from
8
top edge of instrument cluster/radio trim panel. Unclip and remove dash trim panel.
Remove (2) 9/32” hex head screws
9
securing radio. Unplug and remove radio.
Cut and remove the rear support from
10
the back of radio cavity. (Figure A)
Continue to kit assembly.

Disconnect the negative battery ter-

minal to prevent an accidental short circuit.
Using a panel removal tool pry out
2
on the “Ride Control” switch, unplug and remove switch.
Unclip and remove switch trim
3
panel.
Remove (2) 10 MM hex head bolts
4
from behind panel.
Open center console door and
5
remove (4) screws from hinge to remove door.
Open ashtray and remove (1) screw
6
securing ashtray.
Remove ashtray and remove (1)
7
screw from ashtray cavity.
Unclip and remove small grill to the
8
left of the ignition switch.
Remove one (1) screw from behind
9
grill. Unclip and remove dash trim panel.
Remove (2) 9/32” hex head screws
10
securing radio. Unplug and remove radio.
Continue to kit assembly.

Disconnect the negative battery ter-

minal to prevent an accidental short circuit.
Unclip and remove dash trim panel.

(It may be necessary to loosen the lower dash trim panel below steer­ing column.)
Remove (2) 9/32” hex head screws
3
securing radio. Unplug and remove radio.
Cut and remove the rear support from
4
the back of radio cavity. (Figure A)
Continue to kit assembly.

minal to prevent an accidental short circuit.
Unclip and remove the radio trim

panel.
Remove (2) 9/32” hex head screws
3
securing radio. Unplug and remove radio.
Continue to kit assembly.

Disconnect the negative battery ter-
minal to prevent an accidental short circuit.
Remove ashtray and remove (1)

Phillips head screw from ashtray cavity.
Remove (1) Phillips head screw from

cigarette lighter cavity.
Unclip and remove the radio trim
4
panel.
Remove (2) 9/32” hex head screws
5
securing radio. Unplug and remove radio.
Cut and remove the rear support from
6
the back of radio cavity. (Figure A)
Continue to kit assembly.

DIN MOUNT RADIO PROVISION
*Note: Refer also to the instructions included with the aftermarket radio.

Cut and remove the shaft supports
1
from the radio housing.
Slide the DIN cage into the Radio
2
Housing and secure by bending the metal locking tabs outward. NOTE: The spacer included with this kit can be used between the radio and the DIN cage fror vehicles with shallow radio cavities if necessary.
Slide the aftermarket radio into the
3
cage until it snaps into place.
Continue to final assembly.

Slide the aftermarket radio into the

radio housing from the back and secure using shaft nuts supplied with the radio.
Continue to final assembly.

proper mating adapter and making connections as shown. (Isolate and individ­ually tape off the ends of any unused wir

Reassemble radio and dash assemblies in reverse order of disassembly.

FINAL WIRING CONNECTIONS
Make wiring connections using the EIA color code chart shown below and the instructions included with the head unit. Metra recommends making connections as shown below; Strip, Splice, Solder, Tape. Isolate and
individually tape off ends of any unused wires to prevent electrical short circuit.
