• 70-7301 - Hyundai Kia harness 1999-2008

• 70-2003 - GM harness 1998-2008

Antenna Adapter:

• 40-GM 10 - GM antenna adapter

• Flat blade screwdriver • Phillips screwdriver

Dash Disassembly 95-7309

Hyundai Elantra 1996-2000

1. Unclip and remove the dimmer
switch panel then remove (1) Phillips
screw exposed behind. (Figure A)

2. Unclip and remove shifter trim panel.
(Figure B)

3. Remove (1) Phillips screw at bottom of
radio trim panel. (Figure C)

4. Unclip and remove the temperature
control cable under the drivers side
dash from the white plastic bracket.

5. Remove (4) Phillips screws
securing radio.

1. Unclip and remove the panel
surrounding the shift lever. (Figure A)

2. Unclip and remove the radio trim panel.
(Figure B)

3. Remove (2) Phillips screws securing
the radio.

1. Unclip and remove trim panel around
the shifter. (Figure A)

2. Remove (1) Phillips screw at bottom of
radio trim panel.

3. Unclip and remove radio trim panel.

4. Remove (4) Phillips screws securing the

radio.

Hyundai Sonata 1999-2001

1. Unclip and remove the trim panel in
front of the shift lever and remove (2)
Phillips screws exposed underneath.
(Figure A)

2. Unclip and remove the shift lever trim
panel. (Figure A)

3. Remove (2) Phillips screws at bottom
of radio trim panel.

4. Unclip and remove radio trim panel.
(Figure B)

5. Remove (4) Phillips screws securing
the radio.

Hyundai Santa Fe 2001-2006

1. Remove the ashtray and the (2) Phillips
screws exposed in the cavity. (Figure A)

2. Unclip and remove trim panel with
climate controls. (Figure B)

3. Remove (2) Phillips screws facing up at
bottom of radio trim panel. (Figure C)

4. Unclip and remove the radio trim panel.
(Figure D)

5. Remove (4) Phillips screws securing
the radio.

Kit Assembly 95-7309

Double DIN head unit provision

1. Slide the appropriate bracket into the
trim plate aligning the holes in the trim
plate to the clips on the bracket.
(Figure A)

2. Slide the DDIN radio unit into the trim
plate bracket assembly and secure the
unit to the kit using the screws supplied
with the head unit. (Figure B)

3. Locate the factory wiring harness in the
dash. Metra recommends using the
proper mating adapter from Metra or
AXXESS. Re-connect the negative
battery terminal and test the unit for

proper operation.

4. Reassemble dash in reverse order
of disassembly.

Note:

• For the Hyundai Sonata 1991-2001,
Hyundai Tiburon 1997-2002, and the
Hyundai Santa Fe 2001-2006 vehicles
you will need to attach the provided
thick spacers to the double DIN
brackets. (Figure A)

(Figure B)

• For the Hyundai Elantra 1996-2000
vehicles you will need to attach the
provided thin spacers to the DDIN
brackets. (Figure B)

• Spacers will need to be removed from
shipping bar.

Kit Assembly 95-7309

Stacked ISO DIN head unit provision

1. Slide the appropriate bracket into the
trim plate aligning the holes in the trim
plate to the clips on the bracket.

2. Slide the stacked ISO DIN units into the
trim plate bracket assembly and secure
the unit to the kit using the screws
supplied with the head unit. (Figure B)

3. Locate the factory wiring harness in the
dash. Metra recommends using the
proper mating adapter from Metra or
AXXESS. Re-connect the negative
battery terminal and test the unit for

proper operation.

4. Reassemble dash in reverse order
of disassembly.

• For the Hyundai Sonata 1991-2001,
Hyundai Tiburon 1997-2002, and the
Hyundai Santa Fe 2001-2006 vehicles
you will need to attach the provided
thick spacers to the double DIN
brackets. (Figure A)

(Figure B)

• For the Hyundai Elantra 1996-2000
vehicles you will need to attach the
provided thin spacers to the DDIN
brackets. (Figure B)

• Spacers will need to be removed from
shipping bar.

Desmontaje del tablero 95-7309

Hyundai Elantra 1996-2000

1. Desenganche y quite el panel del
interruptor atenuador y quite (1) tornillo
Phillips que queda a la vista. (Figura A)

2. Suelte y retire el panel de moldura de la
palanca de velocidades. (Figura B)

3. Quite (1) tornillo Phillips de la parte de
abajo del panel de la moldura del radio.
(Figura C)

4. Desenganche y quite el cable de
control de temperatura debajo del
tablero del lado del conductor del
soporte blanco plástico.

5. Quite los (4) tornillos Phillips que
sostienen el radio.

Hyundai Tiburon 1997-2001

1. Desenganche y quite el panel que rodea
la palanca de velocidades. (Figura A)

2. Desenganche y quite el panel de la
moldura del radio. (Figura B)

3. Retire los (2) tornillos Phillips que
sostienen el radio.

Hyundai Sonata 1995-1998

1. Desenganche y quite el panel de la
moldura alrededor de la palanca de
velocidades. (Figura A)

2. Quite (1) tornillo Phillips de la parte de
abajo del panel de la moldura del radio.

3. Desenganche y quite el panel de la
moldura del radio. (Figura B)

4. Retire los (4) tornillos Phillips que
sostienen el radio.

Hyundai Sonata 1999-2001

1. Desenganche y quite el panel de la
moldura del frente de la palanca de
velocidades y quite los (2) tornillos
Phillips que quedan a la vista abajo.
(Figura A)

2. Desenganche y quite el panel de la
moldura de la palanca de velocidades.
(Figura A)

3. Quite los (2) tornillos Phillips de la
parte de abajo del panel de la moldura
del radio.

4. Desenganche y quite el panel de la
moldura del radio. (Figura B)

5. Retire los (4) tornillos Phillips que
sostienen el radio.

Hyundai Santa Fe 2001-2006

1. Quite el cenicero y los (2) tornillos
Phillips que quedan a la vista en la
cavidad. (Figura A)

2. Desenganche y quite el panel de
moldura junto con los controles del
clima. (Figura B)

3. Quite los (2) tornillos Phillips que
quedan hacia arriba de la parte de
abajo del panel de la moldura del
radio. (Figura C)

4. Desenganche y quite el panel de la
moldura del radio. (Figura D)

5. Retire los (4) tornillos Phillips que
sostienen el radio.

Ensamble del kit 95-7309

Provisión de unidad central

doble DIN

1. Deslice el soporte correspondiente en
la placa de la moldura, alineando los
orificios de la placa con los ganchos del
soporte. (Figura A)

2. Deslice la unidad del radio DDIN en el
ensamble del soporte de la placa de la
moldura y sujete la unidad al kit con los
tornillos suministrados con la unidad
central. (Figura B)

3. Ubique el arnés del cableado de fábrica
en el tablero. Metra recomienda usar el
adaptador de acoplamiento adecuado
de Metra o AXXESS. Vuelva a conectar
el terminal negativo de la batería y
pruebe la unidad para verificar que
funcione correctamente.

4. Vuelva a montar el tablero en forma
inversa al desmontaje.

Nota:

• Para vehículos Hyundai Sonata 1991­2001, Hyundai Tiburon 1997-2002 y
Hyundai Santa Fe 2001-2006 una los
espaciadores gruesos a los soportes
DDIN. (Figura A)

(Figura B)

• Para vehículos Hyundai Elantra 1996­2000, una los espaciadores delgados
a los soportes DDIN. (Figura B)

• Quite los espaciadores de la barra de
envío antes de usarlos.

Ensamble del kit 95-7309

Provisión de unidad central

ISO DIN vertical

1. Deslice el soporte correspondiente en
la placa de la moldura, alineando los
orificios de la placa con los ganchos del
soporte. (Figura A)

2. Deslice las unidades ISO DIN verticales
en el ensamble del soporte de la placa
de la moldura y sujete la unidad al kit
con los tornillos suministrados con la
unidad central. (Figura B)

3. Ubique el arnés del cableado de fábrica
en el tablero. Metra recomienda usar el
adaptador de acoplamiento adecuado
de Metra o AXXESS. Vuelva a conectar
el terminal negativo de la batería y
pruebe la unidad para verificar que
funcione correctamente.

4. Vuelva a montar el tablero en forma
inversa al desmontaje.
