* Important: Before beginning any of the following, disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent an
accidental short circuit.
CONNECTIONS TO BE MADE ON THE 10 PIN HARNESS:
Connect the Yellow wire to the radio’s constant/1. memory wire along with the supplied 48” yellow wire to the battery. (bare end) Connect the ring terminal of the supplied 48” yellow 2. wire to the battery. Connect the Red wire to the aftermarket radio’s 12 3. volt accessory/switched wire. Connect the Orange/White wire to the aftermarket 4. radio’s Illumination wire. If there is no Illumination wire on the aftermarket radio, just tape the Orange wire to prevent the wire from shorting out. Connect the Black wire to the radio’s radio ground 5. wire Connect the Blue/Pink wire to the aftermarket 6. radio’s VSS wire. If there is no VSS wire on the aftermarket radio, just tape the Blue/Pink wire to prevent the wire from shorting out. Connect the Green/Purple wire to the aftermarket 7. radio’s Reverse wire. If there is no Reverse wire on the aftermarket radio, just tape the Green/Purple wire to prevent the wire from shorting out. Connect the Light Green wire to the aftermarket 8. radio’s parking brake wire. If there is no parking brake wire on the aftermarket radio, just tape the Light Green wire to prevent the wire from shorting
out.
CONNECTIONS TO BE MADE ON THE 16 PIN HARNESS:
Connect the Blue wire to the radio’s radio antenna 1. turn on wire. Connect the White wire to the radio’s left front (+) 2. speaker wire. Connect the White/Black wire to the radio’s left 3. front (-) speaker wire. Connect the Gray wire to the radio’s right front (+) 4. speaker wire. Connect the Gray/Black wire to the radio’s right 5. front (-) speaker wire. Connect the Green wire to the radio’s left rear (+) 6. speaker wire. Connect the Green/Black wire to the radio’s left 7. rear (-) speaker wire. Connect the Purple wire to the radio’s right rear (+) 8. speaker wire. Connect the Purple/Black wire to the radio’s right 9. rear (-) speaker wire.
INSTALLING THE BMRC-01
With all connections completed reconnect the 1.
negative battery terminal.
Plug the BMRC-01 into the vehicle and into the 2. radio.
Cycle the key by turning the ignition on then back 3. off, then on again.
TESTING THE BMRC-01
Turn the radio on and test for proper fading and 1. balance controls.
Shut all the doors then turn the key off. The radio 2. should stay on until the driver’s door is opened.
