Control 15 Bios update
To fix bios checksum error and CD import issues on units shipped prior to 31stDecember 2010
To
update the bios on a Control 15 you will need to obtain a bios update hard drive from Meridian.
Tools Required
Bios update Hard Drive T10 Torx Driver
Removing the Hard Disk Drive
Lay unit on its back to gain access to hard drive bay on base of unit. This should be done without any connections made to the unit.
To gain access to hard drive remove screws (2 x Torx T10) as shown in picture below. Drive will come out from unit with a little force on the top lip.

Remove drive connectors so drive can be removed, This drive needs to be retained to be put back into the unit once the update has been done.

Connect supplied bios update drive to unit and put unit back on its base.
This is best done by using the part of the Control 15 Packaging material as shown on the left. This will avoid damaging the hard drive and connections.

Once drive is fitted as in previous picture, switch unit on in normal way.
This will start “MS DOS” and the unit will automatically run an update script, as pictured.
Once the unit has displayed “Program ended normally.” and returned to the “C:\” prompt, the device can be shut down and the original hard drive fitted.
Program finished with no errors

Once updated, the original hard drive should be refitted. Then test that the unit will boot to Sooloos software as normal.
During boot, the “M” Logo will appear and you should be able to see a small white dot in the left hand corner of the display as pictured.
