Meridian 501/V and 562/V RS232 Interface.
The RS232 interface for the 501/V and 562/V can be operated from any terminal which operates at 2400
baud with 1 start bit, 1 stop bit and no parity. Commands take the form of 2 ASCII characters, in some cases
followed by a signed argument (‘nn’ below). All characters are echoed by the preamplifier. A carriage
return character will execute the command, and backspace is also implemented. When a command is
executed, the preamp will return 8 characters.
