Basic commands
%In Input selection, n=1..4. e.g. %I2 selects input 2.
CS Read current status, returns the currently
selected input.
%? Help. Returns a list of supported commands.
Programming commands
No extra store is required for write commands.
%Pn Write power up input, n=1..4. e.g. %P3 selects
input 3 on power up.
%Wn Read power up input, returns the power up
input.
%Smmn Write source input,
mm=01...12 corresponding to Meridian sources
CD...Game on the MSR+,
n=1...4 the input to be used when this source is
selected on the Comms.
%Fmm Read source input, reads the input used when
this source is selected on the Comms.

Safety warnings
• Do not expose the product to dripping or splashing.
• Do not place any object filled with liquid, such as a
vase, on the product.
• Do not place naked flame sources, such as lighted

To avoid interference, do not position the product:
• Near strong magnetic radiation, such as near a power
amplifier.
• Near to a television, or where connecting cables may
be subject to or cause interference.
To avoid overheating:
• Leave at least 10cm around the equipment to ensure
sufficient ventilation.
Do not position the product:
• In direct sunlight.
• Near heat sources, such as a radiator.
• Directly on top of heat producing equipment, such as
a power amplifier.
Radio interference
FCC Warning: This equipment generates and can

Mounting Instructions
The HDMAX 421 may be mounted with the mounting
plates provided. Remove the rubber feet to expose M3
threaded inserts and fit the mounting plates with the
bolts provided, using a #1 Pozidriv screwdriver.
