MERCURY
MERCURY
DESIGNED TO BE QUICK
ADVANTAGE
THEY’RE NOT SHY. THEY’RE JUST QUIET.
Strong, quiet and easy to transport, Mercury FourStroke Portables are anything but lightweight when it comes to performance. Available in 2.5 to 25 horsepower, these FourStrokes incorporate the lessons we’ve learned in more than 65 years of perfecting outboard technology for the marine environment.
In short, we took championship-winning power and performance and made it everything a four-stroke should be:
Clean and Quiet Reliable Fuel-Efficient No Mixing of Gas and Oil
Additionally, most manual-start FourStroke Portables feature a camshaft decompression system that makes them easier to start than competitive four-strokes.

PORTABLES
LIGHTWEIGHT. HEAVY ON FEATURES.
• Easy one-handed operation.
• Through-prop exhaust on most models buries engine noise underwater for a quieter, more enjoyable experience.
• Multiple trim positions (including shallow-water drives on select models) provide optimum performance.
• Standard water-separating fuel filter to minimize debris and water in the engine on select models.
• Lanyard stop switch for added safety.

PORTABLES
TAKE THE POWER WITH YOU.
AND ON YOURS.
Fast, reliable outboard power – you really can take it with you no matter where your boating adventures lead. With Mercury Portables you get the dependable power and performance you need without sacrificing convenience. With horsepower ranging from 2.5 to 25, Mercury Portables are made to fit in the back of your car as easily as they fit on the back of your boat.
All models offer quick, easy starts and a rubberinsulated transom mounting system to reduce vibration and driver fatigue. And many feature simple, one-handed operation with shift, throttle, steering, throttle friction, and stop controls all designed to fit in the palm of your hand.
After all, boating is supposed to be fun and easy. Tough, dependable Mercury Portables help you keep it that way.
REMEMBER: LIFE VESTS FLOAT. YOU DON’T.

BIG PERFORMANCE IN
A SMALLER OUTBOARD
Versatile, reliable and fuel-efficient Mercury Portables run laps around the competition. Literally. Available with horsepower ranging from 2.5 to 25, these high-performance powerhouses are designed to work harder than the average outboard.
Take our BigFoot Portables for example. With their oversized gear cases, larger props and greater gear reduction, BigFoot Portables are engineered to provide greater thrust, maneuverability and holding and stopping power. Their portable design makes them ideal for use on pontoons, light-duty commercial craft and inflatables, or as auxiliary power on sailing or fishing boats.
From the convenient tiller-handle controls to a beefed up transom assembly, the 9.9hp ProKicker is fisherman's dream. Built to handle the meanest whitecaps and get to the fish quicker, the Pro Kicker features a superfast power tilt, centering straps that keep the engine aligned while under main power and a four-blade, high thrust propeller for superior handling and ultra-slow trolling speeds.
Add in the fact that Portable FourStrokes can run off your main fuel source, and it’s no wonder more and more fisherman and pro anglers are making our FourStroke Portables their kickers of choice.

CLEANEST BY FAR
All Mercury FourStrokes (except 15 hp) exceed the EPA emissions standards for 2008 and have received a CARB threestar ultra-low emissions rating. They’re all clean and efficient but boast plenty of torque to keep it fun.
