A C‑Class lets you select from an extraordinary palette of colors, materials and styles for your cabin appointments. But it does not make you choose between immediate gratification and enduring comfort. The standard 10‑way power front seats help you find your perfect seating position. The 3‑position driver‑seat memory makes it easy to find it again. Even your lumbar support power‑adjusts four ways. The available heated and ventilated front seats — as well as the new option of a heated steering wheel — offer rapid yet lasting comfort as the seasons change. And while you can’t see the materials beneath the stylish surfaces, they’re chosen to make you feel at ease in other important ways. Steam‑expanded foams — a process pioneered by Mercedes‑Benz — eliminate harsh chemicals, while products from flax, coconut and olives sustainably support numerous cabin elements.
WITH ADVANCED TURBOS AND DIRECT INJECTION, THE SIX ENGINES OF THE C-CLASS GENERATE MORE POWER FROM LESS FUEL, WITH FEWER EMISSIONS. IN CERTAIN SITUATIONS, EACH OF THEM ALSO HAS THE POWER TO USE NO GASOLINE AT ALL.

GASOLINE TURBOS AND BITURBOS
The Direct Injection gasoline engines of the C ‑ Class span from a turbo ‑ 4 that delivers brisk acceleration and up to 34 highway mpg,3 to an AMG‑ enhanced 362‑hp biturbo V‑6, to handcrafted biturbo AMG V‑ 8s with 469 or 503 hp. All feature multispark ignition that can rapidly fire each spark plug several times in a millisecond, to get the most power from every drop of gasoline. And when idling in traffic or at a stoplight, their ECO Start/Stop system can automatically pause the engine — using no fuel and creating no emissions. When you’re ready to go, the engine restarts instantly.
NEW TURBOCHARGED CLEAN DIESEL
Mercedes‑Benz pioneered BlueTEC® technology to reinvent the diesel engine. Smooth, quiet, and with certified ultralow emissions in all 50 states, the new C 300d1 generates more torque from a turbo‑ 4 than many gasoline V‑ 8s: 369 lb ‑ft at just 1,600 rpm. Its strong, seamless acceleration comes with the bonuses of exceptional fuel economy and driving range.3
FIRST PLUG-IN HYBRID C-CLASS
The new C 350e1 is more than just a new era in eco‑friendly luxury and performance. Its 4‑mode HYBRID drive is among the most intelligent, efficient gas‑electric powertrains on the road, optimizing the use of its gasoline turbo‑ 4 and electric motor to traffic, terrain and even route‑map data while using the navigation system. Around town, you can drive short distances on electricity alone, creating no local emissions.4 On longer trips, it can keep its advanced lithium‑ion battery charged while you’re on the open road — saving it up to allow all‑electric city driving later on. Gas and electric power can also team up to boost acceleration. And while the gasoline engine and regenerative braking system help replenish the battery as you drive, it’s a Plug‑In HYBRID — so you can also recharge it at home or at most any public charging station.
