Memtek Products warranties this product against defects in materi­als or workmanship for one year from the date of purchase. This w a rranty applies to the original purc h a s e r, proof of original re t a i l p u rchase is re q u i red. This warranty specifically excludes damage caused by misuse, abuse, improper storage, or use in a commerc i a l application. No warranty of merchantability or fitness for a part i c­ular purpose is made. In the event of a claim against this warr a n t y, Memtek Products’ obligation, and the claimant’s sole re m e d y, shall be replacement of the product. This warranty specifically excludes responsibility for re c o rded data in any form .

FORMATTING YOUR FLASH MEMORY CARD
Most cards are pre-formatted. If formatting is necessary, it is recommended to use your digital camera or Flash devices to format the card. To format your Flash Memory Card in the USB SD/MMC Card Reader, please use the following steps:
1 . Double click on “MY COMPUTER” i c o n .
2 . Place your mouse over “Me m o re x®USB SD/MMC Dual
R e a d e r” icon and R I G H Tc l i c k .
3 . Choose “F O R M AT ”and the following box will appear.
4 . F rom the dialogue box, select “Qu i c k(e r a s e) ” and then
p ress “S TA RT ” . After formatting, the card will be ready to use.

INSTALLATION
1. Tu rn on your computer, and wait for the Wi n d o w s®e n v i ronment to appear on your scre e n .
2. Close any application you may have running before installing the M e m o re x®USB SD/MMC Card Reader software driver.
3. Important! Please install driver software prior to plugging-in the USB connector.
4. I n s e rt CD into CD-ROM Drive.
5. The setup program should automatically start. If it does not, please run the setup program by following Step #6.
6. Click S t a rt on the task bar, then select "R u n" command. Type D:\setup.exe (or CD-ROM drive letter:\setup.exe) and then click "O K" .
7. Follow instructions during setup pro g r a m .
8. When finished, remove CD from CD-ROM drive, and re s t a rt your PC.
9. Plug in the USB connector from the Card Reader into the USB p o rt of your PC.
10. Windows will automatically detect the Memore x®USB SD/MMC C a rd Reader and finish loading the driver for it.
1 . S t a rt Windows OS. 2 . Double click on “MY COMPUTER”.
3. You will now see a “Memorex®SD/MMC Dual Reader” icon, that appears as a Removable Flash hard disk. Depending on the configura­tion of your computer, the drive letter assigned to your card reader will vary.
4 . Double click on the “Memore x®” icon. 5 . You may now copy files from your Card Reader
to your hard disk as you would from a floppy disk or any other removable media by “dragging & dropping” files.
Notes:
When a Flash Memory Card is i n s e rted into the Card Reader, it is configured as if it were a re m o v­able hard disk drive. You use the same methods to read and write files as you would for your disk d r i v e .
C A U T I O N :
As with any removable storage media, removing the Flash Memory C a rd while data is being w r i t t e n / t r a n s f e rred may erase the e n t i re content of the card. Always wait for the data write operation to complete before removing the Flash Memory Card .
