I Note: The time taken for the contents of the disc to be displayed varies according to the memory size and number of pictures actually on the disc. If nothing is displayed after a few minutes, it is likely that certain files are too large. In this case, reduce the

Picture CD Basic Operation

• Press the POWER button to turn on the unit; the On/Standby indicator will turn green. If using CD, press the OPEN/CLOSE button to open the disc tray; “OPEN” will

• appear on the screen. Insert a picture disc with the label side facing up on the disc

ray. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button to close the disc tray. “LOADING” will appear

t on the TV screen.

• After loading a picture CD, the pictures will automatically show as a slideshow on the screen. (If playback does not start automatically, press the PLAY/PAUSE (®p)

utton to start playback.) Press the Skip (n) or (o) button to select the next or

b previous picture. After the slideshow is done, it will go to thumbnail view. You can

ress the STOP (X) button to stop the slideshow before it is finished; then the

p thumbnail view will appear. In thumbnail view, you can press the Navigation

(√,®,π,†) button to select the desired picture or press the Skip (n) or (o) button to go to the next/previous page. Select the desired picture and then press the OK

utton to view it.

To select a photo: press the Number buttons corresponding to the picture that you would like to view (i.e. the 12th picture, press "+10", "2").

To pause the photo slideshow: press the PLAY/PAUSE (®p) button.

o resume playback: press the PLAY/PAUSE (®p) button.

T To stop playback of the picture CD: press the STOP (X) button.

o rotate a picture during playback: you can rotate the picture on-screen using the

Navigation (√,®,π,†) buttons during slideshow playback. To rotate on the thumbnail view, select ROTATE, select a picture then press the OK button. Press the

PLAY/PAUSE (®p) button to rotate the picture clockwise 90 degree. Then select

ESET to reset the picture or RETURN.

SETTING THE MENUS

TO ACCESS THE MAIN MENUS:

The setup menu lets you customize the DVD player by allowing you to select various language preferences, turn screen saver on and off and more.

Use the Navigation (√,®,π,†) buttons to navigate through the menus/screens and press the OK button to select the highlighted option. After changing an option, press the OK button. LANGUAGE SETUP OSD: Select the desired language (English, French,

or Spanish) for the On-Screen display to display text. Note that the DVD must have the language included in order to display it.

MENU: Select the language the MENU will be in (English, French, German, Italian, Spanish or others). The DVD’s DISC MENU must be made in the selected langua g e , othe r w i s e th e defau l t language of the DVD will be shown.

AUDIO: Select the language the DVD will be played back in (English, French, German, Italian, Spanish or others). The DVD must be recorded in the selected language, otherwise the default language of the DVD will be played.

SUBTITLE: Select the language the Subtitle (OSD) will be in (English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Others or Off). The DVD must be recorded in the selected language, otherwise the default language of the DVD will be shown.

SCREEN SETUP TV TYPE: Your can choose a display that affects how

a disc’s content appears on your TV screen. 4:3 PS: reproduces a 4:3 picture with some distortion. 4:3 LB Letterbox: gives best reproduction of pictures recorded in this format (i.e., with horizontal bands at the top and bottom of the screen) 16:9 Widescreen: reproduces 16:9 format films in full, on a 16:9 screen.

SCREEN SAVER: When this option is set to ON, the screen saver will come on when the unit stops or the image is paused for approximately ten minutes. When this option is OFF, the screen saver will not come on

TV SYSTEM (AV Out only): Select PAL when outputting to a PAL TV. Select NTSC when using a NTSC TV. In the USA, the standard is NTSC. Select AUTO to auto select.

P/N Button: This option can also be changed by pressing the P/N button repeatedly.

VIDEO OUTPUT: Select the desired option (CVBS-Video, CVBS+YUV or YUV P-SCAN)

when a TV is connected to the Component Video Out jacks.

Video Button : This function can be changed by pressing VIDEO button repeatedly.

BRIGHTNESS: Set the desired brightness output (Normal, Bright or Soft).

CONTRAST: Set the desired contrast from -4 to +4.

AUDIO SETUP DIGITAL OUT:

FF: Select to disable the Digital output.

O SPDIF/RAW or PCM: Switches the digital audio section of

the decoder/output between bitstream (Raw) and uncompressed stereo digital out (PCM).

The bitstream (Raw) must be selected to enable surround sound (Dolby digital) to be sent to an external decoder via the audio digital output. If only a stereo speaker system is to be used then it is only necessary to set this option to PCM, then only two channels of information are decoded and sent to the stereo audio outputs (and the coaxial/optical digital audio output).

DOWNMIX:

This unit has the ability to send programming with any number of discrete audio channels up to 5.1 to any viewer- regardless of how many speakers they might have. Reproducing

.1 channels of audio through a lesser number of speakers requires a process called

5 downmixing. Simply put, downmixing combines the Left, Right, Center, Left surround, and

ight surround channels in a somewhat logical manner to drive stereo or mono speakers.

O/RO: Select to hear the sound in Stereo downmix mode.

L LT/RT: Select to hear the sound in theatrical downmix mode.

CUSTOM SETUP STYLE: Select the desired background of the OSD.

ANGLE MARK: Select ON to turn the angle marks ON and

OFF to turn them off. Anglemarks are not available on all DVDs.

DEFAULT: Select this option to reset all the preferences to their original factory settings. This is useful to reset the NTSC System.

NOTES ON HANDLING:

• When shipping the DVD player, always use the original shipping carton and packing materials. For maximum protection, repack the unit as it was originally packed at the factory.

• Do not use volatile liquids, such as insect spray, near the DVD player. Do not leave rubber or plastic products in contact with the DVD player for a long time. They will leave marks on the finish.

• The top and rear panels of the DVD player may become warm after a long period of use. This is normal and not a malfunction.

• When the DVD player is not in use, be sure to remove the disc and turn off the power.

• If you do not use the DVD player for a long period, the unit may not function properly in the future. Turn on and use the DVD player occasionally.

NOTES ON CLEANING: Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.

• For stubborn dirt, soak the cloth in a weak

detergent solution, wring well and wipe. Use a dry cloth to wipe it dry. Do not use any type of solvent, such as thinner and benzene, as they may damage the surface of the DVD player.

• If you use a chemical-saturated cloth to clean

the unit, follow that product’s instructions.

Warning: Cleaning and adjustment of lenses and/or other components of playback mechanism should be performed by a qualified service technician.

NOTE ON LOCATING THE DVD PLAYER:

When you place this DVD player near a TV, radio or VCR, the playback picture may become poor and the sound may be distorted. In this case, move the DVD player away from the TV, radio or VCR.

NOTES ON MOISTURE CONDENSATION: Moisture condensation damages the DVD player. Please read the following carefully.

• Moisture condensation occurs, for example, when you pour a cold drink into a glass on a warm day. Drops of water form on the outside of the glass. In the same way, moisture may condense on the optical pick-up lens inside this unit, one of the most crucial internal parts of the DVD player.

Moisture condensation occurs during the following cases:

• When you bring the DVD player directly from a cold place to a warm place.

• When you use the DVD player in a room where you just turned on the heater, or a place where the cold wind from the air conditioner directly hits the unit.

• In summer, when you use the DVD player in a hot and humid place just after you moved the unit from an air conditioned room.

• When you use the DVD player in a humid place.

Do not use the DVD player when moisture condensation may occur.

• If you use the DVD player in such a situation, it may damage discs and internal parts. Remove the disc, connect the power cord of the DVD player to the wall outlet, turn on the DVD player and leave it “ON” for two or three hours. After two or three hours, the DVD player will have warmed up and evaporated any moisture. Keep the DVD player connected to the wall outlet and moisture condensation will seldom occur.

TO OBTAIN A CLEAR PICTURE:

The DVD player is a high technology, precision device. If the optical pick-up lens and disc drive parts are dirty or worn down, the picture quality becomes poor. To obtain a clear picture, we recommend regular inspection and maintenance (cleaning or parts replacement) every 1,000 hours of use depending on the operating environment. For details, contact your nearest dealer.

POWER SOURCE

Insert the AC plug (with the 2 blades) into a conveniently located AC outlet having 120V, 60Hz.

NOTE: The AC plug supplied with the unit is polarized to help minimize the possibility of electric shock. If the AC plug does not ﬁt into a nonpolarized AC outlet, do not ﬁle or cut the wide blade. It is the user’s responsibility to have an electrician replace the obsolete outlet.

EFFECTIVE DISTANCE OF THE REMOTE CONTROL TRANSMITTER

NOTES:

• When there is an obstacle between the DVD and the transmitter, the transmitter may not operate.

• When direct sunlight, an incandescent lamp, ﬂuorescent lamp or any other strong light shines on the REMOTE SENSOR of the DVD, the remote operation may be unstable.

The battery compartment is located on the rear of the remote control.

• Remove the battery compartment door by pressing in on the tab and removing the door.

• Insert two (2) AAA size batteries into the battery compartment as shown to the right. Be sure to observe the polarity markings which are engraved inside the battery compartment. If the batteries are inserted incorrectly, the remote control will not operate.

• Replace the battery compartment door.

BATTERY PRECAUTIONS

Follow these precautions when using batteries in this device:

1. Use only the size and type of batteries speciﬁed.

2. Be sure to follow the correct polarity when installing the batteries as indicated in the battery compartment. Reversed batteries may cause damage to the device.

3. Do not mix different types of batteries together (e.g. Alkaline and Carbon-zinc) or old batteries with fresh ones.

4. If the device is not to be used for a long period of time, remove the batteries to prevent damage or injury from possible battery leakage.

5. Do not try to recharge batteries not intended to be recharged; they can overheat and rupture. (Follow battery manufacturer’s directions.)

Connection DVD to TV

NOTE: When connecting

the system cables, turn off the power and make certain the AC cord has been removed from the wall outlet. See figure in previous column.

1. Connect the Left and Right audio cables to the Left and Right AUDIO OUT jacks on the rear of the DVD player. Connect the other ends to the Left and Right IN jacks on the TV.

Use these jacks to connect to a TV with progressive video input jacks, press the HDMI/PS button to select the compatible resolution of the TV. Progressive scan is a video scanning system that

isplays all lines in a frame in one pass, as opposed to the

d traditional system, interlaced scan. This connection provides optimum quality. To ensure maximum picture quality, use three video-grade cables for connections. Note that it is essential to

atch the color-coded connectors with a compatible TV.

Connecting the DVD to a Home Theater System

Place the subwoofer, front, rear and center speakers in locations as shown/described here. After correctly positioning the speakers, perform the Tone Test on the AV Amplifier and adjust the volume controls until the desired sound is achieved. For best results, sit in the viewing position and have someone adjust the volumes for you; this will enable you to set the optimal levels.

NOTES FOR CONNECTING TO A TV:

• If your TV has a Component Video input, connect the DVD player with the component

cable for best results, otherwise use the S-Video or Video OUT jack on the DVD player.

• Set the TV’s TV/VIDEO button or switch to the VIDEO setting.

• When connecting the DVD, refer to the owner’s manuals for the TV and the audio

system, as well as this manual.

• When connecting, make sure the power is off and all units are unplugged before

making any connections.

• Connect the DVD player to your TV directly. If you connect the DVD player through a

VCR, the playback picture will be distorted because DVD video discs are copy protected.

• If using a TV with a blue screen option, turn the option off on the TV for best results.

• If you place the DVD player near a tuner, the radio broadcast sound might be

distorted. In this case, move the DVD player away from the tuner.

Compatible Discs

This DVD player is capable of playing the following types of discs: DVDs, DVD+/- R, DVD+/- RW, Audio CDs, CD/CD-R/RW with MP3 files and Kodak Picture CDs. Before you insert a disc in the player, make sure it is compatible. You can’t play the following types of discs: Laser Discs, CD-I, CD-ROM (computer discs), DVD-ROM or discs recorded using other broadcast standards (i.e. PAL or SECAM) or

D-G discs.

NOTE: Some discs may note be compatible due to laser pickup, recording formats and

oftware used. Some technologies and methods used for MP3 file recording on CD-

s R/RWs can prevent optimal playback of these files by degrading the sound quality and/or the ability for the player to read the file.

BASIC PLAYBACK OPTIONS

VD/CD BASIC OPERATION

1. Plug the power cord into the outlet once the DVD player is connected to your TV.

2. Turn on the TV and tune to its Video Input Channel, if necessary.

3. Press the POWER button to turn on the unit; the On/Standby indicator will turn green.

4. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button to open the disc tray. Insert a disc with the label side acing up on the disc tray. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button again to close the tray;

f playback will start automatically.

5. If the Menu appears, use the Navigation (√, ®, π, †) buttons to select the desired

option and press the OK button to select it.

6. To stop playback, press the STOP (X) button. Because the unit will remember where

you stopped (not applicable in CD mode), simply press the PLAY/PAUSE ®p button to resume playback where you left off (resuming playback). If the STOP (X) button is pressed twice, the unit will stop completely. If the player is left in Stop/Pause mode for more than ten minutes without any user interaction, the screen saver will activate if the Screen Saver menu option is set to ON. There is no resume function when playing CDs.

SEARCH: During playback, press the Search ®® or √√ button to move the disc forward or backward at double (x2) speed to locate a specific section. Repeatedly press and the speed will increase to x4, x8, x16, x32 and resume normal playback. The disc will move forward or backward at high speed until you press the PLAY/PAUSE ®p button; normal playback will resume at that point.

PAUSE: Press the PLAY/PAUSE ®p button while in the Play mode to pause the picture. To resume normal playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE ®p button.

SKIP: Press the Skip (n) button to advance the disc to the beginning of the next chapter/track. Press the Skip (M) button to move the disc to the beginning of the previous chapter/track.

ZOOM: Press the SLOW/ZOOM button once during Normal or Still playback modes, and the unit will zoom x2. Press once more and the unit will zoom x4. Use the Navigation (√,®,π,†) buttons to move the image on the TV screen. Press the SLOW/ZOOM button once more to cancel the zoom function. This is not available on all discs.

SLOW FORWARD: Press and hold the SLOW/ZOOM button to activate Slow motion. Repeatedly press and hold to move the DVD forward in slow motion speeds of 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32 and resume normal playback. The sound will be muted. Press the PLAY/PAUSE ®p button to resume normal playback.

TITLE/CHAPTER/TIME SEARCH (DVD ONLY):

Press the GOTO button once. Press the Navigation (√,®) buttons to select the title, then use the Number (0-9) buttons to select the de s i r e d title number. Th e n press the O K bu tton; p layback will start immediately. OR Press the Navigation (√,®) buttons to select the chapter, then use the Number (0-9) buttons to select the desired chapter number (i.e, for 12, press "1", "2"). Then press the OK button; playback will start immediately. OR Press the GOTO button again, then press the Navigation (√,®) buttons to select the time, then use the Number (0-9) buttons to s e l e c t the desired t i m e (Hour/Minutes/Seconds). Then press the OK button; playback will start immediately.

Repeat Playback

While the disc is playing, press REPEAT button repeatedly to select a play mode:

VD play modes: Chapter repeat, Title repeat, ALL, off

D CD play modes: Track repeat, All track repeat, off MP3 Mode: Track repeat, All repeat, off

A-B Repeat

hile in the Playback mode, press the Repeat A-B button to define where you want the

W section to start. Press the Repeat A-B button again to define where you would like the section to end, the unit will then play the selected area continuously. Press the Repeat A-B button again to cancel A-B Repeat mode.

PROGRAM PLAYBACK

Select up to 20 Title/Chapters (or tracks for CD) to program play as follows:

1. Press the PROGRAM button; the program screen will appear.

2. Select the desired program number (best to start with 1), then press the Navigation

button to select the Title column. Select the desired title number using the Navigation

π,†) buttons, then press the ENTER button to select it.

DVANCED PLAYBACK OPTIONS

ANGLE MARK: While in the Playback mode, press the ANGLE button; the total

number of angles will appear on the screen. Repeatedly press the ANGLE button to select the desired angle; the angle will change in one to two seconds. This is not available on all discs.

AUDIO (DVD): Press the AUDIO button repeatedly to change the audio language. This feature is not available on all discs.

Note: This option is only available if the disc offers a number of languages or formats. MUTE: To temporarily mute the playback sound, press the MUTE button.

SUBTITLE MENU: Press the SUBTITLE menu button to select a subtitle language

and to turn the subtitle menu on/off if your subtitle feature is available on the disc.

TITLE MENU: To display the title menu if available on the disc, press the TITLE menu button. Then use the Navigation (√,®,π,†) buttons to select your desired option and press PLAY/PAUSE ®p button.

OSD BUTTON: Each press of the OSD button will display the elapsed time and remaining time of a playing disc. Each press of the OSD button will cycle through, depending on the playback mode as follows:

PLAYBACK OF AN MP3

PLAYING AN MP3

MP3 is an audio file format which compresses recorded music. The main advantage of the mp3 format is the ability to store CD - quality music tracks on a personal computer in user-friendly, compressed files. Before inserting a disc, check that it is compatible with the player:

1. Press the POWER button to turn on the unit; the On/Standby indicator will turn

green and open the disc tray by pressing the OPEN/CLOSE button.

2. Place the disc in the tray with the printed side facing up and close the tray.;

playback will start automatically.

3. If you want to select a folder/track, then Press the STOP (X) button to stop

playback. Select a folder using the Navigation (π, †) buttons, then press the OK button to

see the folder’s contents. Select a track using the Navigation (π, †) buttons, then press the OK button to

start playback.

4. To go back to the folder list, press the Navigation (√) button.

5. For Skip and Search functions, please refer to the basic playback options.

6. Enter the track/file using the number buttons to directly select and playback a file.

(i.e. For the 12th track, press "+10", "2" buttons.)

Colocar un CD con archivos de imágenes. NOTA: El tiempo que tardan los contenidos del disco para aparecer varía según el tamaño de la

emoria y cantidad de imágenes contenidas en el disco. Si no aparece nada luego de unos

m minutos, es probable que ciertos archivos sean demasiado grandes. En ese caso, reduzca la resolución de los archivos a menos de 5 mega píxeles e intente nuevamente.

Funcionamiento básico de CD de imágenes

• Oprima el botón de ENCENDIDO/APAGADO (POWER) para encender la unidad; el indicador e Encendido/Modo en espera (On/Standby) cambiará a color verde.

• Si utiliza un CD, oprima el botón ABRIR/CERRAR (OPEN/CLOSE) para abrir la bandeja del

disco; “ABRIR” (“OPEN”) aparecerá en la pantalla. Colocar un disco de imágenes con la etiqueta mirando hacia arriba sobre la bandeja del disco. Oprima el botón ABRIR/CERRAR (OPEN /CLOSE) para cerrar la bandeja del disco. En la pantalla de la TV aparecerá “CARGANDO” (“LOADING”).

• Luego de cargar un CD de imágenes, éstas aparecerán automáticamente en la pantalla como

presentación de diapositivas. (Si la reproducción no comienza automáticamente, oprima el botón REPRODUCIR/PAUSAR (PLAY/PAUSE) (®p) para inicinar la reproducción. Oprima el botón de Salto (Skip) (n) o (o) para seleccionar la próxima imagen o la anterior. Luego que se complete la presentación de diapositivas, comenzará la visualización de imágenes en miniatura. Puede oprimir el botón de DETENER (STOP)(X) para detener la presentación de diapositivas antes que ésta finalice; luego aparecerá la visualización de imágenes en miniatura. En la visualización de imágenes en miniatura, puede oprimir el botón de Navegación (√,®,π,†) para seleccionar la imagen deseada u el botón de Salto (Skip) (n) o (o) para pasar a la página

iguiente/anterior. Seleccione la imagen deseada y luego oprima el botón OK para visualizarla.

11. Polarización

12. Protección del cable eléctrico

MODOS DE REPRODUCCIÓN

El compartimiento de las pilas se encuentra en la parte trasera del control remoto.

• Quite la puerta del compartimiento de las pilas oprimiendo en la solapa y quitando la puerta.

• Inserte dos (2) pilas AAA en el compartimiento como se muestra a la derecha. Asegúrese de ver las marcas de polaridad que se encuentran grabadas dentro del compartimiento de las pilas. Si las pilas son insertadas de manera incorrecta, el control remoto no funcionará.

• Reemplace la tapa de dicho compartimiento.

PRECAUCIONES CON LA PILA

Siga estas precauciones al usar pilas con este aparato:

1. Use sólo pilas del tamaño y tipo especificado.

NOTAS PARA CONECTAR AL TELEVISOR:

• Si la TV posee una entrada de Video Componente, conecte el reproductor de DVD al cable de componente para mejores resultados, de lo contrario, use el conector S-Video o SALIDA DE VIDEO en el reproductor de DVD.

• Ubique el botón o selector de TV/VIDEO del televisor en VIDEO.

• Cuando conecte el DVD, consulte el manual del propietario del televisor y del sistema de audio, así como este manual.

• Antes de realizar la conexión, asegúrese de que las unidades estén apagadas y desconectadas.

• Conecte el reproductor de DVD directamente a su televisor. Si conecta el reproductor de DVD mediante una videocasetera, se distorsionará la imagen porque los discos DVD están protegidos contra copia.

• Si usa un televisor con opción de pantalla azul, desactive esta opción en el televisor para obtener mejores resultados.

• Si coloca el reproductor de DVD cerca de un sintonizador, se puede distorsionar la transmisión de radio. Si eso sucede, aleje el reproductor de DVD del sintonizador.

OPCIONES BÁSICAS DE REPRODUCCIÓN

FUNCIONAMIENTO BÁSICO DE DVD/CD

1. Conecte el cable de alimentación en la salida una vez que el reproductor de DVD esté conectado a la TV.

2. Encienda la TV y de ser necesario, sintonice su Canal de entrada de video.

3. Oprima ENCENDIDO/APAGADO (POWER) para encender la unidad; el indicador de Encendido/Modo en espera (On/Standby) cambiará a color verde.

4. Oprima el botón ABRIR/CERRAR (OPEN /CLOSE) para abrir la bandeja del disco. Coloque un disco con la etiqueta mirando hacia arriba, sobre la bandeja del disco. Oprima el botón ABRIR/CERRAR (OPEN/CLOSE) nuevamente para cerrar la bandeja; la reproducción comenzará de forma automática.

5. Si el Menú aparece, utilice los botones de Navegación (√, ®, π, †) para seleccionar la opción deseada y oprima el botón OK para confirmar.

6. Para detener la reproducción, oprima el botón DETENER (STOP) (X). Debido a que la unidad recordará dónde se detuvo (no aplicable en modo CD), simplemente oprima el botón REPRODUCIR/PAUSA(PLAY/PAUSE) ®p para regresar a la reproducción que ha pausado (regresar a la reproducción). Si el botón DETENER (STOP) (X) se oprime dos veces, la unidad se detendrá completamente. Si el reproductor queda en modo Detener/Pausar (Stop/Pause) por más de diez minutos sin ninguna interacción del usuario, el protector de pantalla se activará en caso que la opción Protector de pantalla está configurada en modo ENCENDIDO (ON). No hay función de reanudar cuando el CD se está reproduciendo.

BÚSQUEDA (SEARCH): Durante la reproducción, oprima el botón de Búsqueda (Search) ®® o para adelantar o retroceder el disco a doble velocidad (x2) para localizar una sección específica. Oprima repetidamente y la velocidad aumentará a x4, x8, x16, x32 y regresará a la reproducción normal. El disco adelantará o retrocederá a alta velocidad hasta que oprima el botón REPRODUCIR/PAUSA (PLAY/PAUSE) ®p ; la reproducción normal retomará en ese punto.

PAUSAR (PAUSE): Oprima el botón REPRODUCIR/PAUSA (PLAY/PAUSE) ®p mientras se encuentra en Modo reproducción para pausar la imagen. Para regresar a la reproducción normal, oprima el botón REPRODUCIR/PAUSA (PLAY/PAUSE) ®p .

SALTO (SKIP): Oprima el botón de Salto (Skip) (n) para llevar el disco al comienzo del siguiente capítulo/pista. Oprima el botón de Salto (Skip) (o) para llevar el disco al comienzo del capítulo/ pista anterior.

ZOOM: Oprima el botón LENTO/ACERCAR Y ALEJAR (SLOW/ZOOM) una vez durante los modos de reproducción Normal o Quieto, la unidad se acercará o alejará x2. Oprima una vez más, la unidad se acercará/alejará x4. Utilice los botones de Navegación (√,®,π,†) para mover la imagen en la pantalla de TV. Oprima el botón LENTO/ZOOM (SLOW/ZOOM) una vez más para cancelar la función de zoom. Esto no está disponible en todos los discos.

ADE L ANTAR LENTO (SLOW FO RWARD): Mante n ga o p rimido el botón LENTO /ZOOM (SLOW/ZOOM) para activar la función de movimiento lento (Slow). Oprima repetidamente y mantenga presionado el botón para adelantar el DVD en velocidad lenta de 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32 y regrese a la reproducción normal. El sonido desaparecerá. Oprima el botón REPRODUCIR/PAUSAR (PLAY/PAUSE) ®p para regresar a la reproducción normal.

TÍTULO/CAPÍTULO/BUSCAR HORA (TITLE/CHAPTER/TIME SEARCH) (SÓLO PARA DVD): Oprima el botón IR A (GOTO) una vez. Oprima los botones de Navegación (√,®) para seleccionar el título, luego utilice el Teclado numérico (0-

9) p ara sel e ccionar el númer o de títu l o desea d o. Pres i one OK; l a repro d ucción

comenzará inmediatamente. O

Oprima los botones de Navegación (√,®) para seleccionar el capítulo, luego utilice el Teclado numérico (0-9) para confirmar el número de capítulo deseado (por ejemplo: para el capítulo 12, oprima “1”, “2”). Luego oprima el botón OK; la reproducción comenzará inmediatamente. O Oprima el botón IR A (GOTO) nuevamente, luego oprima los botones de Navegación (√,®) para sele c c i onar la h ora. Repetir la Reproducción

Mientras el disco se está reproduciendo, oprima el botón REPETIR (REPEAT) repetidamente para

eleccionar el modo de reproducción:

Repetición A-B

Mientras se encuentra en el modo de Reproducción, oprima el botón A-B para definir en qué parte desea que inicie la sección. Oprima el botón de Repetición A-B nuevamente para definir dónde

esea que finalice la sección, la unidad luego reproducirá el área seleccionada de manera contínua.

REPRODUCCIÓN DEL PROGAMA

Seleccione hasta 20 Títulos/Capítulos (o pistas del CD) para programar la reproducción como se muestra a continuación:

1. Oprima el botón PROGRAMA (PROGRAM), aparecerá la pantalla de programa.

2. Seleccione el número de programa deseado (se recomienda comenzar por el 1), luego oprima l botón de Navegación ® para seleccionar la columna de Título. Seleccione el número de

e título deseado utilizando los botones de Navegación (π,†), luego oprima el botón ENTRAR (ENTER) para confirmar.

3. El cursor saltará a la columna de Capítulo. Seleccione el número de capítulo deseado

utilizando los botones de Navegación (π,†), luego oprima el botón ENTRAR (ENTER)

para confirmar.

4. Usted ha programado la primera programación. Repita los pasos 2 y 3 para configurar más

programas (hasta 20). Cuando haya finalizado, oprima el botón REPRODUCIR /PAUSAR

PLAY/PAUSE) (®p) para inciar la reproducción.

UNCIONES DE REPRODUCCIÓN AVANZADA

MARCA DE ÁNGULO: Mientras se encuentra en el modo Reproducción, oprima el botón ÁNGULO

(ANGLE); el número total de ángulos aparecerá en la pantalla. Oprima este botón repetidamente para seleccionar el ángulo deseado; el ángulo cambiará en uno o dos segundos. Esto no está disponible en todos los discos.

AUDIO (DVD): Oprima el botón de AUDIO repetidamente para cambiar el idioma del audio. Esta función no está disponible en todos los discos.

NOTA: Esta opción está disponible sólo si el disco contiene una cantidad de idiomas o formatos. MUDO (MUTE): Para silenciar temporalmente el sonido de reproducción, oprima el botón

MUDO (MUTE).

MENÚ DE SUBTÍTULOS: Oprima el botón SUBTÍTULOS (SUBTITLE) para seleccionar un idioma de subtítulos y encender o apagar dicho menú siempre que la función de subtítulos esté disponible en el disco.

MENÚ DE TÍTULOS: Para mostrar el menú títulos, si estuviera disponible en el disco, oprima el botón del menú TÍTULO (TITLE). Luego utilice los botones de Navegación (√,®,π,†) para seleccionar la opción deseada y oprima el botón REPRODUCIR/ PAUSAR (PLAY/PAUSE) ®p .

OTÓN VISUALIZACIÓN EN PANTALLA (OSD): Cada vez que oprima el botón VISUALIZACIÓN EN

PANTALLA (OSD) se visualizará el tiempo transcurrido y el tiempo restante de un disco en reproducción. Cada vez que oprima el botón VISUALIZACIÓN EN PANTALLA (OSD), el tiempo correrá dependiendo del modo de reproducción según se muestra a continuación:

REPRODUCCIÓN DE MP3

REPRODUCCIÓN DE UN MP3

El MP3 es un archivo con formato de audio que comprime música grabada. La ventaja principal del formato mp3 es la capacidad de guardar pistas de música con calidad CD en archivos comprimidos y de fácil utilización para el usuario, en una computadora. Antes de insertar un disco, verifique que es compatible con el reproductor:

1. Oprima el botón ENCENDIDO/APAGADO (POWER) para encender la unidad; el indicador

Encendido/Modo en espera (On/Standby) cambiará a color verde y abra la bandeja del disco oprimiendo el botón ABRIR/CERRAR (OPEN/CLOSE).

2. Coloque el disco en la bandeja con el lado impreso hacia arriba y ciérrela; la reproducción

comenzará automáticamente.

3. Si desea seleccionar una carpeta/pista, entonces oprima el botón DETENER (STOP) (X) para

detener la reproducción. Seleccione una carpeta utilizando los botones de Navegación (π, †), luego oprima el botón

OK para visualizar el contenido de la carpeta. Seleccione una pista utilizando los botones de Navegación (π, †) luego oprima el botón OK para comenzar la reproducción.

4. Para regresar a la lista de carpetas, oprima los botones de Navegación (√).

5. Para las funciones Salto (Skip) y Búsqueda (Search), consulte las opciones básicas de reproducción.

6. Ingrese en la pista/archivo utilizando el teclado numérico para seleccionar directamente y reproducir un archivo (por ejemplo para la pista 12, oprima los botones “+10”, “2”).
