Troubleshooting
The disc tray does not open when the eject button is pressed.
• Make sure the computer is powered on.
• Make sure DVD writer is not in use and data is not being written onto the disc. This may prevent the drive from being opened to minimize the risk of losing data or writing errors.
• Turn o the computer and manually open the tray by straightening a paper clip and pressing the button inside the emergency eject hole.
The disc is ejected after insertion.
• Make sure the disc is properly loaded in the tray.
• Make sure the disc is not damaged, scratched or dirty.
• Double check function with a disc you know to be good. If the drive accepts other discs it may be that the problem disc is damaged or dirty.
No data can be read from the disc.
• Do not eject the disc before the writing process has completely nished.
• Make sure the disc is compatible with the drive (see System Requirements).
• Make sure the disc is not damaged, scratched or dirty.
• Make sure the data on the disc is in a format that can be read by the drive.
