Introduction

Before assembling and using the device
for the first time, take time to familiarise

yourself with the product first. In addition
please refer carefully to the installation and operating
instructions below and to the safety advice. Only
use the product as described and for the designated
areas of application. Please keep these instructions
in a safe place. If you hand this product on to a
third party, you must also pass on all documents
relating to the product.

Intended Use

This product is suitable for indoors and outdoor
use as decorative lighting. The appliance is only
intended for use in private households, and not
intended for commercial use.

TODDLERS AND CHILDREN!

Never leave children unsupervised with the
packaging material. The packaging material
represents a danger of suffocation. Children
frequently underestimate the dangers. Please
keep children away from the device at all times.

This device is not a toy and should not be played

by children. Children are not able to understand
the dangers that can occur when handling this
device.

This appliance can be used by children aged

from 8 years and above and persons with re­duced physical, sensory or mental capabilities
or lack of experience and knowledge if they
have been given supervision or instruction con­cerning use of the appliance in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved. Children
shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning
and user maintenance shall not be made by
children without supervision.

Avoid the danger of
death from electric shock!

Before use, ensure that the mains voltage

available is the same as the required operating
voltage for the device (230–240 V∼).

Before connecting to the mains, always check

the product for any damage.

Never use the product if you find damage of

any kind.

The connecting cable cannot be repaired! If the

cable is damaged, the product must be taken
out of use and disposed of in the proper way.

This article does not contain any parts which

can be serviced by the user. The bulbs cannot
be replaced.

Never open any of the electrical parts or insert

any kind of object into them.

Protect the product from sharp edges, mechanical

loads and hot surfaces.
Do not install with sharp fasteners or nails.
Always remove the mains plug from the socket

before installing, dismantling or cleaning.
Never touch the mains plug or the LED rope

with wet hands.

CAUTION! RISK OF OVERHEATING! The

lamps in the fairy lights have a power input of

0.06 W each. This wattage not only produces

light, but also heat.
Do not operate the LED rope light

1

in the packaging or when it is

rolled up.

Ensure the rope light is mounted to provide

adequate heat-circulation.
Do not cover the rope light with blankets,

cushions, or similar heat insulating materials.
Use the lighting only with the parts described

in these instructions.
If the LED rope light 1 is not to be used for

any length of time (e.g. holidays), disconnect

it from the power supply.
After use, keep the LED rope light 1 in the

packaging to prevent unwanted damage.

Keep away from ponds and other water reservoirs.

Install the LED rope light 1 at least 2 metres

away from water containers. Avoid place that

might flood after heavy rainfall.
If using the LED rope light 1 outdoors, make

sure it is connected to a socket which is protected

with a faulty voltage protection switch (FI or RCD)

for a maximum faulty voltage up to 30 mA.
The LED rope light 1 is protected against

splashes of water (IP44) as long as the socket

meets the minimum protection standard.
Make sure the LED rope light 1 is not laid

down in areas where lawn mowers, trimmers,

scissors or similar cutting tools are used.
Do not pull the LED rope light 1 and make

sure it is laid down properly so that no one

walks or trips over it.

If in any doubt about the safe installation or

use of this product, please consult a qualified
electrician.

Installation safety instructions

Make sure that the product is only installed by

competent persons.

The LED rope light 1 can be installed on all

normally inflammable surfaces with the enclosed
mounting parts.

CAUTION! RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!

Make sure that there are no power, gas or water
lines located where you wish to drill. Check with
a cable and pipe locator if necessary before
you begin drilling.

Before installation, check whether the surface is

suitable for the mounting parts and the weight
of the LED rope light
consult an electrical specialist for advice.

Do not use sharp and / or pointed objects such

as wire, nails or fasteners for mounting.

Do not attach any additional objects to the

LED rope light

Avoid excessive bending of the LED rope

. This can damage the insulation.

The bending radius of the rope must not fall

below the following value: rope diameter
between 10–14 mm: 2 cm.

Avoid excessive heating of the LED rope light 1.

A maximum of two sections of rope may cross
or run parallel to each other.

Installation

Use

Plug the mains plug into the socket.
The lighting is switched on.
To turn the lighting off, remove the mains plug

from the socket.

Cleaning and care

CAUTION! RISK OF ELECTRIC
SHOCK! First remove the mains plug

from the socket.

Do not use any solvents, petrol or similar items.

This would damage the device.
Only a dry, lint-free cloth should be used for

cleaning.

Disposal

The packaging is made entirely of
recyclable materials, which you may
dispose of at local recycling facilities.

Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more
details of how to dispose of your worn-out product.

To help protect the environment, please
dispose of the product properly when it
has reached the end of its useful life and
not in the household waste. Information
on collection points and their opening
hours can be obtained from your local
authority.

Note: The LED rope light 1 can be mounted on
all surfaces officially classified as being of “normal
flammability” by means of the supplied attachments.
Note: You will need a crosshead screwdriver in
order to mount the attachment clips

kiinnitysmateriaalilla.

VARO! SÄHKÖISKUNVAARA! Varmista,

ettet seinään poratessasi osu sähkö-, kaasu- tai
vesijohtoihin. Tarkista kohta johdonhakulaitteella
ennen poraamista.

Tarkista ennen asennusta, että pinta soveltuu

kiinnitysmateriaalille ja että se kestää LED-valo­nauhan painon
kysy neuvoa sähköalan liikkeestä.

Älä käytä kiinnitykseen teräviä ja / tai terävä-

kärkisiä esineitä kuten teräslankaa, nauloja tai
klemmareita.

Älä kiinnitä mitään ylimääräisiä esineitä

Vältä LED-valonauhan liiallista vääntämistä 1.

Tämä vaurioittaa sen eristyksen.

Käyttö

Kytke pistoke pistorasiaan.
Valaistus on kytketty päälle.
Valaistuksen voit kytkeä pois päältä irrottamalla

pistokkeen pistorasiasta.

Puhdistus ja hoito

VARO! SÄHKÖISKUNVAARA!

Irrota ensin pistoke pistorasiasta.

Älä käytä liuotinaineita, bensiiniä tms. Laite voi

muuten vioittua.
Käytä puhdistukseen vain kuivaa, nukatonta

liinaa.

Hävittäminen

Pakkaus koostuu ympäristöystävällisistä
materiaaleista. Hävitä pakkaus viemällä
se paikalliseen keräyspisteeseen.

Lisätietoja käytettyjen tuotteiden hävittämismahdolli­suuksista saat kunnan- tai kaupunginvirastosta.

Laitteelle myönnetty takuu on voimassa 3 vuotta
ostopäivästä lukien. Takuun voimassaolo alkaa
tuotteen ostopäivästä. Säilytä aina alkuperäinen
kassakuitti. Se toimii todisteena tehdystä ostoksesta.

Jos 3 vuoden sisällä tuotteen ostopäivästä alkaen
tuotteesta löytyy materiaali- tai valmistusvirhe, kor­jaamme tuotteen ilmaiseksi tai toimitamme tilalle uu­den tuotteen harkintamme mukaan. Takuu raukeaa,
jos tuote on vioittunut asiattoman käytön tai huollon
vuoksi.

Takuu koskee materiaali- ja valmistusvirheitä. Takuu
ei kata tuotteen osia, jotka kuluvat normaalissa käy­tössä ja siitä syystä pidetään kuluvina osina (esim.
paristot) tai vaurioita särkyvissä osissa esim. kytki­messä, akuissa tai lasista valmistetuissa osissa.
