Make sure the appliances are switched off and the plugs are disconnected from
- Connect the antenna cable (1) to the socket at the back of the decoder or television.
- Connect the MELICONI antenna power supply cable (2) to a 230V~ /50Hz power
socket
- Turn the knob on the front in a clockwise direction to switch on the antenna and position
it at maximum amplifi cation. If the LED on the front lights up, it means the MELICONI
antenna is powered up correctly. At this point the antenna can receive television signals.
- Turn on the TV or decoder connected. To tune the channels follow the instructions
supplied with the appliance connected.
Note: it may be necessary to re-tune the channels.
When using the antenna on a boat or in a camper you can power the antenna via a DC
12 V 50 mA input (3) making sure that the poles indicated on the 12V input socket are
observed.

- Positioning the antenna: position the antenna near a window or outer wall, so it is pointing at the transmitter and is at a safe distance from metal objects, electrical equipment
(air conditioners, motors, ovens) and reinforced concrete walls which may disturb or limit
optimum reception.
- Turn or tilt the central ring antenna until optimum reception is obtained.
- Change the position, extension and direction of the style antennas located on the sides
(for the VHF).
- Adjust the level of amplifi cation by turning the knob on the front until the best possible
result is achieved.
Important: remember that maximum amplifi cation does not necessarily correspond to
optimum signal quality.
