USER INSTRUCTIONS
Thank you for choosing MELICONI.
The AD PROFESSIONAL indoor amplified antenna receives digital terrestrial TV and DAB radio signals, as well as traditional analogue signals on the UHF and VHF (band III) bands.

Secure the plastic support included in the kit to the body of the antenna using the special screw (fi gure 1). The antenna can be positioned horizontally or vertically on a fl at surface (fi gure 2) or wall-mounted. Proceed as follows to mount the antenna on a wall: a. Hammer two nails with head diameter of approximately 6 mm into the wall. The
distance between the two nails should be 38 mm (1.5 inches).
b. Insert the heads of the two nails in the special plastic support holes at the back of the
antenna ( gure 3).
Note: The antenna should be located at a safe distance from metal objects, electrical equipment and reinforced concrete walls to ensure optimum functioning.

The AD Professional is used to receive digital signals – using a digital terrestrial decoder or a TV with built-in digital tuner - and traditional analogue signals – on traditional TV sets.
- Connect the Meliconi antenna cable to the socket at the back of the digital terrestrial decoder or the television . If the decoder's antenna outlet is the F-female type, obtain an F-male IEC-female adaptor (not included).
- Use the AC/DC adapter included in the kit to power up the antenna. Insert the cable in the antenna power supply input and connect the adapter to the mains power supply . Alternatively the decoder may be designed for the power supply to be provided directly by the antenna cable (see the decoder user manual).
- Switch ON the antenna using the wheel located on one side of the antenna.
- Check that the red LED on the front of the antenna is switched ON. This means that the antenna is powered up correctly.
- Switch ON the digital terrestrial decoder and/or the television and select the channel required.

If the quality of the image is poor, proceed as follows to improve reception:
- Adjust the gain by moving the selector on one side of the antenna.
- Change the position of the antenna.
- Change the horizontal/vertical orientation of the antenna until the reception improves.
Improving the reception

- If the antenna is not working make sure it is powered up correctly.
- The power supply function using the antenna cable may be temporarily disabled on your decoder. If this is the case, follow the instructions on your decoder to enable this function or connect the antenna to the power supply unit supplied.
WARNINGS
- Keep away from water: the antenna must not be exposed to drips or water spray.
Do not use in a damp atmosphere.
- Only use the power supply unit supplied with the device.
- The power supply unit must be easily accessible to enable the electric separation of the device from the network.
- If the antenna is to be wall-mounted, fi x as shown in fi gure 3.
- The product complies with directive 2011/65/CE concerning restrictions on the use of hazardous substance (RoHS II) in electric and electronic equipment.
- The product complies with the new low voltage (LVD) directive 2006/95/EC, the EMC directive 2004/108/CE and the ErP directive 2009/125/CE.
2 YEAR WARRANTY - The warranty is declared null and void if the product is tampered with or used improperly.
