GSAFETY WARNINGS

The VF3 Voltage detector may help in the indication of live AC circuits only, and
must not be used as verification of a de-energised circuit. This is not a safety test
lamp.

If damaged, do not use.

This instruction guide and markings on the detector provide information for
avoiding hazards and unsafe practices related to the use of this tool.

Observe all of the safety information provided.

F WARNING - ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD :

 Contact with live circuits can result in severe injury or death
 Do not use the unit if it is wet or damaged
 Do not apply more than the rated voltage between the

probe tip and earth ground

 Do not operate with the case open
 CAUTION: Do not attempt to repair this unit, it contains no

user-serviceable parts

 Do not expose the unit to extremes in temperature or

high humidity

CATIV - Measurement category IV: Equipment connected between the origin
of the low-voltage mains supply outside the building and the consumer unit.

CATIII - Measurement category III: Equipment connected between the
consumer unit and the electrical outlets.

CATII - Measurement category II: Equipment connected between the
electrical outlets and the user’s equipment.

End of life disposal

WEEE DIRECTIVE

The crossed out wheeled bin symbol on the instrument and on the batteries is a
reminder not to dispose of them with general waste at the end of their life.
