symptomatic event.

Using the Patient Assistant
1. Press and release the button. The
Searching light will start ashing
blue.
2. Quickly move the Patient Assistant so that you are holding it at
against your chest, directly over your cardiac device. (Your cardiac
device may be in a different location than shown in this gure.)
3. When a symptom is successfully marked, the success tone will
sound and the Success light will illuminate green. These success
signals mean you have recorded an event in your cardiac device.
Warning: Seek medical attention immediately if you feel ill and
think you need to go to the hospital. In an emergency, call your
local emergency number.
Troubleshooting
If the success signals do not occur within 15 seconds, reposition the
Patient Assistant so that it is near your cardiac device but not directly
on top of it, and repeat steps 1-2.
If you are wearing bulky clothing, such as a jacket or heavy
sweatshirt, remove that item of clothing before repeating steps 1-2.
Note: For more information about using and troubleshooting the
Patient Assistant, see your Patient Assistant PA97000 patient manual.
