Medtronic LNQ22 Quick Guide

Patient Assistant PA97000 Quick Reference Card
Carry the Patient Assistant with you at all times. Use the Patient Assistant as instructed by your doctor, whenever you experience symptoms. The Patient Assistant communicates with your cardiac device to record heart-rhythm data for the time surrounding a symptomatic event.

Using the Patient Assistant
1. Press and release the button. The
Searching light will start ashing
blue.
2. Quickly move the Patient Assistant so that you are holding it at
against your chest, directly over your cardiac device. (Your cardiac
device may be in a different location than shown in this gure.)
3. When a symptom is successfully marked, the success tone will sound and the Success light will illuminate green. These success signals mean you have recorded an event in your cardiac device.
Warning: Seek medical attention immediately if you feel ill and think you need to go to the hospital. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
Troubleshooting
If the success signals do not occur within 15 seconds, reposition the Patient Assistant so that it is near your cardiac device but not directly on top of it, and repeat steps 1-2.
If you are wearing bulky clothing, such as a jacket or heavy sweatshirt, remove that item of clothing before repeating steps 1-2.
Note: For more information about using and troubleshooting the Patient Assistant, see your Patient Assistant PA97000 patient manual.
