Indications for Use
The FT0510 cord is intended to be used with
the following:
• ForceTriad energy platform with system
software version 3.00 or later
• Monopolar devices with the following 4 mm
mating pin plug specifications:
• Diameter: 3.9 mm to 4.2 mm
• Length: 12 mm to 19 mm
The FT0510 cord is rated for maximum voltage
of 3,625 V (peak).
Do not use if package is opened or
damaged.
Warning
This product is designed as a single-use
device and as such has only been evaluated
and tested to simulate single-use conditions.
The device has not been subjected to
multiple, subsequent reprocessing and
sterilization conditions and doing so could
potentially impact the device integrity and
design functionality.
Improper connection of accessories may
result in inadvertent accessory activation or
other potentially hazardous conditions.
Refer to the instructions provided with the
monopolar device for details regarding
proper connection and use.
Electric Shock Hazard—Always turn the
electrosurgical generator off when
connecting or disconnecting accessories.
Failure to observe this precaution or
handling of these connections while the
generator is activated, may result in injury or
electrical shock to the patient or operatingroom personnel.
Position surgical electrode cables to avoid
contact with the patient or other leads.

Setup
1. Examine the packaging to ensure it has not
been damaged or previously opened.
Caution
The FT0510 cord is shipped sterile. If the
packaging has been compromised or
otherwise damaged, or if it the expiration
date stamped on the product has been
exceeded, discard the product and replace
with a new FT0510 cord.
2. Within the sterile field, use an aseptic
technique to open the package and remove
the cord.
3. Remove the band from the cord.
4. Attach the cord’s 4 mm female plug to the
sterile monopolar device. Ensure that the
cord’s plug is fully seated against the
monopolar device and no metal is exposed.

Improper connection of accessories may
result in inadvertent accessory activation or
other potentially hazardous conditions.
Refer to the instructions provided with the
monopolar device for details regarding
proper connection and use.
5. Connect the three-pin plug of the sterile
cord to the Monopolar 1 receptacle (a) on
the front panel of the ForceTriad energy
platform.

Notice
Always disconnect the cord from the active
accessory by pulling the connector. Do not
pull the cable. Improper disconnection may
damage the cord.

Configuration

Preparação

Installation
1. Kontrollera att förpackningen inte är
skadad eller har öppnats tidigare.
Observera
FT0510 levereras steril. Om förpackningen
har öppnats eller är skadad, eller om
produktens utgångsdatumet har passerats,
ska produkten kasseras och ersättas med en
ny FT0510-kabel.
2. Aseptisk teknik ska användas i det sterila
området för att öppna förpackningen och
ta ur kabeln.
3. Ta bort bandet från kabeln.
4. Anslut kabelns 4 mm-honkontakt till det
sterila monopolära instrumentet.
Kontrollera att kabelns kontakt är fullt
intryckt i det monopolära instrumentet och
att ingen metall är synlig.

Подготовка к работе
1. Осмотрите упаковку на предмет ее
целостности и отсутствия повреждений.
Внимание!
Кабель FT0510 поставляется стерильным.
Если упаковка вскрыта или повреждена,
или если истек указанный на изделии срок
годности, утилизируйте изделие и
замените его новым кабелем FT0510.
2. Соблюдая правила асептики, откройте
упаковку в стерильном поле и извлеките
кабель.
3. Снимите с кабеля упаковочную оплетку.
4. Подсоедините 4-мм гнездовой разъем
кабеля к стерильному монополярному
устройству. Убедитесь, что разъем
кабеля плотно подсоединен к
монополярному устройству и
металлические контакты нигде не
оголены.
