A. is LIMITED WARRANTY provides assurance for the customer who purchases a Medtronic Xomed Product (hereinaer the “Product”) that
should the Product fail to function to Medtronic Xomed’s published specications during the term of this LIMITED WARRANTY (one year from
the date of shipment for new Product, 90 days from date of shipment for refurbished or used Product), Medtronic Xomed will either replace, repair,
or issue a credit (adjusted to reect the age of the Product) for the Product or any portion thereof. is LIMITED WARRANTY is extended only to
the buyer purchasing the Product directly from Medtronic Xomed or from its aliate or its authorized distributor or representative.
B. To qualify for this LIMITED WARRANTY, the following conditions must be met:
(1) e Product must be used on or before its “Use By” or “Use Before” date, if applicable.
(2) e Product must be used in accordance with its labeling and may not be altered or subjected to misuse, abuse, accident or improper
handling.
(3) Medtronic Xomed must be notied in writing within thirty (30) days following discovery of a defect.
(4) e Product must be returned to Medtronic Xomed within thirty (30) days of Medtronic Xomed receiving notice as provided for in (3)

(5) Upon examination of the Product by Medtronic Xomed, Medtronic Xomed shall have determined that: (i) the Product was not repaired
or altered by anyone other than Medtronic Xomed or its authorized representative, (ii) the Product was not operated under conditions
other than normal use, and (iii) the prescribed periodic maintenance and services have been performed on the Product.

DEVICE DESCRIPTION
e Essar® Universal Handle features two connections. e larger one, which requires at least 7.14 mm tubing, connects to the O.R. suction line.
e smaller one connects to the irrigation source. Irrigation is regulated by pressing the pads of the silicone valve with the ngertips. Essar®
Tips of various lengths and diameters are available.
INTENDED USE
e Essar® is intended for simultaneous control of suction and irrigation during various surgical procedures.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
None known.
CAUTION
Never push anything through the irrigation (lower) tube, or the valve diaphragm will be damaged and require replacement.
WARNING
is product is provided non-sterile and must be cleaned and sterilized before the rst use and any reuse.
CLEANING
1. Use a brush or pipe cleaner for cleaning suction (upper) tube.
2. Flush the irrigation (lower) side under running water with valve pads squeezed.
3. Promptly and thoroughly rinse instruments with deionized water aer each use.
4. Disassemble instruments as necessary. Soak in lukewarm*, mild* enzymatic detergent, and deionized water for a minimum of two minutes.
Clean ultrasonically in lukewarm* solution of mild* detergent and deionized water for at least 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with deionized
water and wipe dry. (*less than 43°C; pH 7.0 - 8.5)
STERILIZATION
e following cycle has b een validated by Medtronic Xomed and is compatible with the instruments; however, it is the responsibility of each
health care facility to validate the sterilization process with their particular equipment and procedures to assure sterility.
Steam Sterilization: Gravity
Temp: 121°C
Time: Not less than 30 minutes
Alternately, any validated steam sterilization process with temperature up to 135°C may be used.
COLD SOAK IN GLUTARALDEHYDE, CHLORINE, OR AMMONIUM SOLUTIONS OR DRY HEAT STERILIZATION IS NOT
RECOMMENDED AS DAMAGE TO THE INSTRUMENT FINISH MAY OCCUR.

AVERTISSEMENT

NETTOYAGE

Der Essar®-Universalgri ist mit zwei Anschlüssen versehen. Der größere, der mindestens einen 7,14-mm-Schlauch aufnimmt, wird an die

VERWENDUNGSZWECK
Der Essar® ist zur gleichzeitigen Steuerung der Ansaugung und Irrigation während verschiedener chirurgischer Verfahren vorgesehen.
KONTRAINDIKATIONEN
Es sind keine Kontraindikationen bekannt.
VORSICHTSHINWEIS
Niemals irgendwelche Gegenstände durch den Irrigationsschlauch (unterer Schlauch) schieben, da die Ventilmembran beschädigt wird und ersetzt
werden muß.
WARNHINWEIS
Der Produkte wird nicht steril geliefert. Vor dem ersten und jedem weiteren Gebrauch muß es gereinigt und sterilisiert werden.
REINIGUNG
1. Zum Reinigen des Ansaugschlauchs (oberer Schlauch) eine Bürste oder einen Pfeifenreiniger benutzen.
2. Den Irrigationsschlauch (unterer Schlauch) bei zusammengedrückten Ventilkissen unter ießendem Wasser reinigen.
3. Unmittelbar nach jedem Einsatz müssen die Instrumente gründlich mit vollentsalztem Wasser abgespült werden.
4. Mindestens zwei Minuten lang in eine lauwarme* Lösung aus mildem*, enzymatischem Reinigungsmittel und vollentsalztem Wasser einlegen.
Mindestens 10 minuten lang in einer lauwarmen* Lösung aus mildem* Reinigungsmittel und vollentsalztem Wasser einer Ultraschallreinigung
unterziehen. Gründlich mit vollentsalztem Wasser abspülen und trockenreiben. (*weniger als 43°C; pH 7,0 - 8,5)
STERILISATION
Der folgende Zyklus wurde von Medtronic Xomed getestet und ist kompatibel mit den Instrumenten; es liegt jedoch in der Verantwortung jedes
einzelnen Krankenhauses, den Sterilisationsprozeß mit den vorhandenen Geräten und Verfahren abzustimmen, um Sterilität zu gewährleisten.

NICHT EMPFOHLEN, DA BESCHÄDIGUNGEN AN DER INSTRUMENTEN-BESCHICHTUNG AUFTRETEN KÖNNEN.
Geräte, bei denen nach Reinigung und Sterilisation Beschädigungen oder Verschleiß erkennbar sind, müssen ausgetauscht werden.
